When you’re ready to unwind and put your feet up, accept our warm welcome to Five Birches and enjoy all of the rest and recreation Door County has to offer. Our 2,900 square feet of living space includes an en-suite master with an over-sized, walk-in shower and dual shower heads, large walk-in closet, and deck access. Each bedroom (1 king room, 2 queen rooms, and a room with 2 twins) features 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.

The sunny great room is a perfect gathering place for friends & family, with its floor to ceiling south facing windows, stone fireplace (gas), and access to the 600 square foot deck. The loft area features a 51'' HDTV with Blu-ray player, along with a DVD library, computer with internet access, and is perfect for playing one of the many games that we provide. Free WiFi is available as well. With over 20' of balcony overlooking the great room, the loft provides a sense of privacy while maintaining a connection with the rest of the home. A sleeper sofa in the loft is perfect for the kids.

Our immaculate kitchen provides even the gourmet cook with delightful amenities: granite counters, stainless steel appliances (Jenn-Air range & refrigerator), and custom cabinets full of everything you need to enjoy your stay. Our 8' kitchen island/workspace has seating for 6 so you can socialize with the cook!

In addition, Five Birches has plenty of private parking, a large, modern laundry room and central air conditioning.

Roomy, well equipped. Close to Fish Creek downtown.My only dislike was the lighting in Kitchen and dining area was not adequate for us, however we are in our 60’s.

This is a beautiful home with a great location in Door County. It works well for a large family with 4 BR and 3 baths. Lots of gathering spots and amenities. Communication was excellent.

This was our third year at Five Birches and found it clean and comfortable as usual. Parking, however, needs improving with space cleared out to accommodate multiple cars while leaving the driveway open to allow access for garbage and other service vehicles.

We were a group of 6 guys (5 staying in the house) doing bicycling trip. The house was great for our stay - centrally located for riding, an easy drive to numerous restaurants for dinner, spacious and just a beautiful place to stay. Even though we only used it for breakfasts, the kitchen was very nice, and the living room and view were spectacular. We particularly enjoyed the deck for morning coffee and after ride libations and stories. The beds were comfortable and plenty of bathrooms. The only complaint was that the bedroom with the two twin beds didn’t have any shades to cover the windows, so you are awakened pretty early. Not a major concern, but something the hosts may want to consider for the future. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend stay at this lovely house! We loved playing all the games and hanging by the fire pit and grilling on the patio. Our kids were able to watch a bunch of the DVDs provided and that allowed the adults another two hours of sleeping in most mornings...The host was super available and responsive and we look forward to our next stay at this property!

The home was very spacious for 6 adults and 2 children. The location was quiet which is what our family wanted, yet it was also close to so many places. We were able to find plenty of things to do. Since the weather was cooler than expected and rainy it was a pleasant surprise to find all the puzzles which we all enjoyed working on. The kitchen was very spacious for all of us cooking meals. The back deck was nice for eating and playing games. It was very nice having the umbrella to provide some shade. Would definitely want to come back some time.

On the positive side, the house is spacious, clean and nicely furnished. But, the top bedsheet on two beds were tearing at the top edge and we had to purchase Drano to get the bathtub to drain, somewhat. There is a broken board on the deck (not hazardous) and the deck has become quite sun bleached (don’t expect the deck to look like the online picture, it doesn’t). As you drive up to the house the flower bed is full of weeds some as four feet tall. The property is worth stay at but for the money renters pay, one shouldn’t find torn bedsheets and plugged drains.

Relaxing long weekend in Door County

This was a beautiful place for a Door County getaway! Quiet and peaceful property but very close to all the sights! There was plenty of room for all 7 adults in our party to gather and enjoy each other!

Fabulous location.

Ample room for everyone in our group of seven. I especially enjoyed listening to the breeze rustling through the trees and the quietness of the area. Great getaway!

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely and accommodating house. The setting was lovely and woodsy, yet close enough for the kids to bike or walk to Fish Creek. The living spaces and kitchen were perfect for congregating. We enjoyed the fire-pit and other amenities. We would recommend this place highly

Stunning setting

This property is spacious but still has that warm cozy feeling. Perfect for families or couples who want to kick back and relax. We would definitely return!

Beautiful House

We loved our stay in this beautiful, clean, and comfortable house! Plenty of room for everyone, comfortable beds, and lots of amenities. We were especially happy to find the high chair for our grandson!

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

My grandfather Edward bought this property around 1970 and it passed to my father in 2004. My father and I cleared the home site together in 2008 in preparation for my parents to build, but they both passed away before construction could begin. Lisa and I had fallen in love with the area and decided to continue their plans to build a home here in Door County. My mother named it Five Birches after the grove of birch trees outside the master bedroom.
