The property location was excellent for our needs. A car is necessary but everything is very convenient and accessible. The very best part was our host. I have never dealt with anyone so concerned with our having a wonderful vacation. From our first contact to the last she could not have been more available and considerate. The unit had everything that we needed and the view was one of, if not the very best we have ever had, and this is based on 60 years of travel. I could not rate the facility or the host any higher.

Sweet spot right on the water. Eagles and stellar jays, ducks and seals. And the binoculars were a really nice touch. We have dear friends five minutes drive away - we certainly want to come back next visit.

Connie was a pleasure to host. She was a joy to converse with and she took advantage of her time in Juneau to explore what she wanted to see. She left the studio clean and tidy. Easy to clean sheets etc after her stay.

Wonder place and a great host

My wife and I stayed for three nights at this amazingly beautiful and peaceful place. Ulla is the best host I have had so far, very helpful and welcoming.Would love to come back and stay here for longer time

A perfect little gem of a place, right on the water, who could ask for more?? The layout and arrangement of the apartment is well thought out & maximizes the space. Little details such as a motion sensor nightlight, fresh vase of wildflowers and vast amounts of guidebooks made us feel so welcome. We loved our stay!

Cute little hideaway with an amazing view. The reviews given by previous guests are spot on.The location was perfect. I was close to friends I was visiting and Auke Bay harbor was only 5 minutes away for when I managed to take advantage of Juneau Charters' last minute 50% off fishing charters.When I wasn't mesmerized by the view, I spent several hours going through the 3 ring binder full of brochures for local activities on top of Ulla's own suggestions for things to do and places to eat. And the trail guides, the maps and the many books about Alaska. I loved the suite. It was perfectly cute and clean. Lots of towels. I saw Ulla just a few times during my month long stay. She was very gracious and let me know she was available should I needed anything.I would most definitely return if I were to get back to Juneau for another visit. I just can't say enough about it.

I really enjoyed having Linda. She connected up with old friends andbrought friends from her current hometown to come and enjoy Juneau. Linda explored Juneau on her own and with her friends, and it was just fun to know they were enjoying and exploring Juneau! The place was left in great shape and if Linda needed something, she communicated her needs.

Cozy studio

Right on the bay, great sunsets, close to the airport and close enough to downtown. Came up up spur of the moment for my birthday and Ulla made my stay feel right at home, I even got a birthday cupcake!! What a perfect place to enjoy the full Juneau experience!

The apartment was lovely and very clean. The view was great! Ulla was responive to our questions and any needs we had. Our one suggestion would be to make the house address more visible. We would definitely stay again!

This place was very close to whale watching and the views were awesome to wake up to. It is a 15 to 20 minute drive from downtown which was a major plus being able to get away from the cruise ship visitors and commotion.I really enjoyed being able to drink my coffee on the front deck overlooking the ocean with different birds and fish in the Bay.The host was very gracious and any communication was very easy. The place had everything you could need. It was very cozy and the bed was super comfortable.

Auke Bay Stay

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic stay at this cozy vacation rental in Auke Bay! The location was perfect—peaceful, scenic, and close to everything we wanted to explore. What truly made our experience exceptional was our host, Ulla. Her communication was outstanding from the start, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. We felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Juneau area!

Conner and his girlfriend were exceptionally considerate guests. They communicated their needs and if I could accommodate them I would! They were quiet and left the studio in wonderful shape. I would certainly love to host them again.

Sally was a great host. We had a horrible experience at the airport with Delta Airlines, and had to stay another day. The only good thing that came out of it was Sally having this house ready for us to come back to..

We really enjoyed the whole space! We were in town for a wedding near to Auke Bay. The space is adjoined to a main house by a washer/dryer utility room, but it is otherwise private mother-in-law type of suite. The deck is a shared space but I felt like I had free range to use it especially in the morning to stare at the mountains. There is parking space for a small rental car if you should need. We had a perfect time! Being there during mid/late August was perfect timing for outdoor activities in Juneau as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Only stayed 2 nights but the location was great and the studio itself was perfect for us (2 adults). View over the bay, especially at sunrise and sunset, was stunning. Host was very helpful and communicating was easy. We came in on the ferry and it was running late (4 hours late - which is unusual) and she helped create Plan B and C in case our transportation fell through when we arrived. We needed access to a washer and dryer and the studio had them available, but it was a little awkward to coordinate with the host (that room is a shared space). The studio is part of the host's house, so you can hear noises from "upstairs" and we were both on the back porch a couple times (taking sunset pictures). It all worked out just fine but felt a little awkward. We would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Auke Bay studio. It was so quiet. The view of the bay was a beautiful interest point and background. There are binoculars so you can scan the bay and get close ups of the eagles and kingfishers. The bed was comfortable and black out shades perfect for the Juneau Summer. We could barely hear the Juneau fireworks in the distance (on July 4th, a day late this year due to rain). The french doors were perfect for when only one person wanted to sleep. The kitchen was adequate for cooking meals and stocked with coffee+grinder (a surprise!) and a french press + coffee maker. I was concerned about wifi because I was taking an online class with a proctored exam while on vacation and I had no issues with the test or streaming movies. The studio is 4 minutes from Auke lake for a leisurely/safe hike so I could go solo while the partner was out fishing. Our host was gracious and responsive. Being in town for a HS reunion, we had prior experience with Juneau but know she is a resource for travelers new to the area. We would definitely stay again.

We had the most incredible stay and the view is magnificent!The studio apartment was just the right size for my Husband and I to stay in while visiting Alaska for 9 days. It was secluded enough to be away from city life, but close enough to all attractions that you could get there within minutes.There were maps, brochures, and informational literature on varying interests.The apartment has all of the basics you need to stay in if you choose to.Ulla was a perfect Host-when us Midwesterners needed extra blankets she was quick to show up to get us extra blankets and to make sure the heated floor setting was adequate. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay when in Juneau.

It was a pleasusre to host Jeanene and her husband. They were definitely interested and enthusiastic in exploring Juneau and other parts of Southeast Alaska. They got out there and explored. If they had a question they asked and if they needed something they asked! I love that, I want you to have everything you need to make your Alaska trip everything that you had hoped for!
