We loved staying at Baxter’s retreat. We are repeat visitors. Our daughter lives in town and your home and beautiful garden is just perfect for staying in town. Everything is so well stocked, clean, beautiful view… couldn’t ask for more.

Can't recommend this place enough! It's located in a great neighborhood that felt safe and comfortable anytime of day/night. Lovely views of arcata from the yard and a short walk up the road to the community forest. We've stayed here multiple times and will continue to use Baxters for future visits.

A clean cottage, unusually well appointed with household conveniences. The location was ideal to see sights within Humboldt county. The setting was a plus, with huge views of the city and bay yet it was in a quiet corner of town.

The property was very comfortable and well appointed. Having said that, if we needed anything, a call to Angelica would promptly take care of our request. It does not get better than that.The property's location at the top of a hill, with a fabulous view of the bay from a beautiful patio in a garden with a small fish pond was calming and outstanding. What a pleasant surprise that was.

What a lovely rental! I stayed here with my spouse for seven nights, and it was truly a little home-away-from-home. We had busy days, but my favorite way to begin and end each day was by spending some time in the *beautiful* garden on site looking out over Humboldt Bay and Arcata. (My husband's fave was the proximity to the redwood park up the street.) Our needs were minimal during our stay, but Angelica was always quick to respond to a message. We will absolutely stay here in the future should we be in the area again.
