Pictures in advertising were misleading. I thought we were staying in a property that bordered the Lazy River, but in reality I had booked a Villa, far from the Lazy River.Other than that, it was a most enjoyable stay.

The pool was clean and temperature was perfect. Wish the pool stayed open a little later. The only thing that we could not use were the umbrella at the beach because they were missing the bottom part to go onto the sand. You can hear the people above on the third floor. It’s not bad as long as the are not heavy on their feet. Unfortunately this week they were. I love the Avalon. This is the second time I have stayed here and plan to stay again. Close to the beach and worth every penny.

I would strongly encourage future guests to carefully consider their expectations before booking Orange Lake Resort. Our seven-night family vacation was far from the relaxing experience we anticipated.The check-in experience involved an unexpected timeshare sales pitch, and our accommodations were significantly different from the listing photos. Although the description stated that accommodations and photos could vary, our villa did not reasonably resemble what was advertised. We were also expecting a hot tub, which our villa did not have.The most disturbing issue was what appeared to be dried fecal matter on the exterior of the toilet upon arrival. Despite reporting this multiple times and being assured it would be cleaned, it remained untouched throughout our entire stay. I even photographed it again immediately before checkout. We also encountered inadequate towel supplies, confusing resort procedures, and inconsistent information about amenities and discounts.While the resort offers numerous recreational activities and amenities, the overall experience was overshadowed by poor housekeeping, misleading expectations, and a lack of accountability. Multiple complaints went unresolved, and meaningful follow-up was nonexistent.For the cost of this vacation, I expected clean accommodations, accurate property descriptions, and responsive guest services. Unfortunately, we received none of those consistently.renters should be aware the accommodations may differ.
