What a great place! It's very private with a beautiful, teal river flowing in the backyard. The hot tub was soothing after a long day of hiking. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen and the pinball games after dinner were a treat!

Great stay! It was even better than we expected. It was the perfect location for our hikes into the North Cascades. The hot tub was clean and perfect to gaze at the stars after a long hiking day. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed. We were able to cook every night and had more than enough linens available to use. The river views were incredible at sunset. If we come back we will be staying at this house again!

Highest quality stay I’ve ever had. Felt like a real home and the owner cares that you have a good stay. Comfortable beds, great kitchen, plenty of space. View is great.

We had an amazing time! The views are just incredible and we saw eagles every day :). The house was so clean and comfy! We highly recommend this house for the Port Angeles area. Thank you hosts!!!

Very fun set up for a family. We appreciated the fenced in property for our dog and kids. It was a very private and beautiful setting. Many thoughtful touches throughout the house for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Such a comfortable, cozy house in an amazing, serene setting! The house had everything you could want and more, with the best-stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a rental house.

What a wonderful place. We only stayed one night as we traveled to North Cascades NP but it would be a lovely place to stay for days. We even saw an elk!

This property was one of the best experiences ever! Waking up in the mornings seeing Elk in the river to making pizzas in the amazing pizza oven, this property has it all! Would hands down give it 5 stars!!!

Such a great home stay!! The house is perfect for a family getaway - I only wish we could have stayed longer! Location was wonderful for unloading our bags & groceries before heading to North Cascades NP to explore. Our time in NCNP was cut short due to wildfires & lots of smoke, so we spent lots more time at the house than expected. Pinball & board games were a big hit (Bring quarters! It’s 1/play or 2/3. There were lots of credits loaded when we arrived, but we blew through them!), as was the hot tub. The backyard is beautiful. I didn’t see any big animals, but there were tons of birds around in the morning. We weren’t able to have a campfire, but enjoyed hanging around the fire pit anyways for the views & relaxation. Beds were comfy. Communication & check-in & out were easy peasy!

The house was very clean and comfortable. linens were super soft and cozy - great bedding the master bedroom. the kitchen was also great, had fantastic appliances, and had all the necessary items to make a great morning brew which is much appreciated before hiking. I thought this house was great and look forward to staying again if I'm ever in the area. The host is also great, communicative, and shared many helpful details in advance of us getting into the accommodations.

This was my first time to North Cascades, Jays Salmon Run Retreat was a perfect fit for myself and my group. Was clean and came with many amenities. The host was easy to get ahold of and always returned my messages. The back yard was adorable. Wish there wasn't a fire ban or else we would have loved to have sit out there. I highly recommend this stay.

Vacation & great outdoors

Beautiful peaceful property. The view of the river in the area is amazing. We enjoyed watching coyotes play on the riverbank in the morning and saw a bald eagle. The house had everything we needed and more. we appreciated the extra touches like the coffee, sugar cream, all of the spices and the beautiful views from several different areas of the house and property.

This property was above and beyond one of the best. Its location was beautiful (literally right on the Skagit River), private (quiet, cannot see neighbors), close to hiking, incredibly well stocked (even with coffee, sharp knives, corkscrew) and the beds and pillows were super comfy! Elke was very communicative, I only had a few questions and she answered very promptly. And the backyard had frisbee golf and badminton!!
