Unwind in this charming cabin with breathtaking mountain views, handcrafted details, and rustic comfort. Whether you're sipping coffee on the deck or cozying up by the fire, The Carpenter’s Cottage is your perfect escape.

Book your stay today and experience the tranquility of the mountains! While the indoor fireplace isn’t available for use due to insurance regulations, you can still enjoy cozy evenings by the fire! Guests are welcome to use the gas fireplace on the deck or gather around the outdoor fire pit under the stars. Just remember to bring along your own firewood or purchase at the nearby market!

Our property is located mountainside, offering a peaceful setting with beautiful views. When you arrive, you’ll drive up a paved driveway with a steep incline at the beginning before it becomes more level at the top. The driveway can be navigated in any vehicle — we just recommend keeping a steady pace as you go up, especially as the pavement transitions to gravel. Once you reach the top, you’ll be greeted by a stunning view from the front porch — the perfect welcome to your mountain retreat.

Please note that all bedrooms are located on the second floor, and guests will need to use stairs to access them. We want everyone to have a comfortable stay, so this home may not be the best fit for those with mobility limitations.

We do our best to refill the propane tanks whenever we visit the cabin; however, depending on guest use, it may need to be refilled during your stay. If that happens, propane can be easily refilled at the Chevron gas station just 4 miles down the road. Simply take a picture of the receipt and send it to us through messages, and we’ll gladly reimburse you for the cost.

My husband, two children and I stayed here for a few days and we all really enjoyed ourselves. The cabin was quite cozy and extremely family/child friendly. The kids definitely loved the game cabinet, toys and bunk beds. You can definitely tell that the hosts were thoughtful when decorating and preparing this property.

The Carpenter’s Cabin was charming, well appointed, quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The beds were comfortable, lots of pillows, the towels were large and fluffy. We really enjoyed morning coffee on the deck, feeding peanuts to the blue jays. We did not see elk on property but heard them, and saw them around town, especially in Pine at dusk. Pine has lots of good antique shops (see my finds in photos) Of course the Pie Bar is amazing, Strawberry Lodge Ristorante Italiano is a treat. We found a nail in our tire and guys at the garage next to the Pie Bar were amazing. The Carpenter’s Cabin is a wonderful find, note that there are lots of steps to the front door! But it was manageable for us. The communication was excellent, very quick response (couldn’t figure out the thermostat). Jalyn let was know of an internet outage but it had been restored before we even noticed. Oh, and the deck firepit needs propane!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was the perfect spot for a beautiful hike to the Fossil Creek waterfall. We saw elk each morning. And most importantly, the house had everything we needed including a propane firepit on the deck that was a great compliment to the cool evening temperatures. Jaclyn was a great host and provided great information both through the app and in the home. Overall, we loved our stay and hope to return one day.

I’m originally from a small town in Ohio, but I’ve been loving life in sunny Arizona. We’ve put down roots here and have no plans of leaving! I married my high school sweetheart, and we now have two little ones, ages 4 and 2, who keep life fun and full of adventure.

As a family, we enjoy hiking, camping, boating—anything that gets us outdoors and exploring together. I’m a NICU nurse, but I stepped away from hospital work after our second baby was born. Hosting has been way for me to continue caring for others—just in a new way.
