Beautiful Henrys Lake Log Cabin

Beautiful mountain meadow Log Cabin in Island Park Idaho. A short 21 mile drive will take you to West Yellowstone and the many recreational opportunities of Yellowstone National Park. The wildlife is abundant and the geysers and geothermal scenery is amazing. Summertime stay is a 6 night minimum and Fall and Spring a 3 night minimum. You will surely want more time to explore Yellowstone country.

Henry's Lake is world renowned for monster trout. Rainbows, Brookies and Cutt-bows (12 - 14#). If you prefer Fly fishing you will think you are in heaven with the Snake and Madison Rivers so close.

Take advantage of the endless hiking and horseback trails right out the door.

Explore the Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole which is a scenic two hour drive or head north and visit Big Sky resort which is one hour away.

Winter is an amazing time to visit the Yellowstone area. Recreational opportunities abound. Snowmobiling, Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, Alpine Skiing, wildlife viewing, sledding and many more.

Rental worked extremely well for our group Yellowstone stay! Spacious, and quiet! We did notice at nightfall the bats were plentiful and one of them flew into the upstairs bedroom when one of our guests had the balcony doors open for the fresh mountain air. We were able to get it out but learned our lesson the first night hahaha! The home was perfect for our group of 7. Each couple had their own bathroom and space. Five out of Five for that and how peaceful it was out there.Nice central spot to setup up shop, to travel into Idaho, Yellowstone, and we even went up to Big Sky Montana which was less than a 2 hour drive.The home needed a few little repairs, but nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to a home that is being used.100% we would rent again if we are ever out that way for another trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! Everyone had plenty of room to spread out, and having a bathroom for each room was an absolute perk. While you can’t see the lake from the cabin, we thoroughly enjoyed the mountain views and beautiful sunsets. We saw a few deer and an elk running through the field one evening!! Would definitely stay here again!

Wanda, We are glad that you had a good experience at our cabin in Island Park. I'm so sorry about the showers. They all have been in working order all summer and still are. The 3 that you thought 'weren't working' just needed to be pulled out before turning the knob. We hope your travels have been great and that you have safe travels home.

We had an excellent stay and would absolutely stay here again. There were six of us, and the cabin was very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. The location was perfect for trips to Yellowstone National Park, West Yellowstone, Big Springs, Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park and Henry Lake, while still giving us a beautiful, peaceful place to return to each day.The pictures really don’t do the view justice. It was even more impressive in person. We also had a red-tailed hawk that made a daily appearance behind the cabin, which we looked forward to seeing.The cabin was very clean, and the kitchen was truly fully stocked with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, utensils and coffee mugs. The bedrooms were great, and I personally loved the elk antlers in our room. The large elk above the fireplace was impressive too.We made use of the game room, but some of our best evenings were simply hanging out together watching college and NFL football. The fake bear lurking around the fire pit was a fun surprise that gave us a laugh when we first spotted him.Communication with the hosts before our trip was excellent, and our questions were answered promptly.After spending the week here, all six of us agreed we would absolutely stay here again. Great cabin, incredible views, plenty of room, and the perfect home base for a Yellowstone vacation. Highly recommended.

This cabin was beautiful and spacious. Our large group enjoyed our stay and took advantage of the two large living areas for hanging out. The fridge and showers all worked great, aside from the ice dispenser (not the maker itself). We were not hot despite visiting in August with no AC. Opening windows at night worked fantastic to cool the rooms down. The host was responsive, gracious, and helpful. Our main feedback revolves around a need for maintenance and spring cleaning. There is a beautiful view, but the windows were unwashed. We noticed a need for dusting and cobweb removal on top of and under furniture. The lawn was not mowed except for the walkway to the front door, so we had to walk through thigh-high weeds to throw trash away and our children could not play outside except for on the porch (which is big and wonderful). The important areas were spotless though.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay as we spent a week coming and going to Yellowstone and the surrounding areas!!!The cabin is very nice with beautiful views and sunsets out of this world.

There were a lot of issues with this cabin. From the moment we arrived, the temperature inside was extremely hot and it never cooled down during our entire stay, making it very uncomfortable.The cabin was also very dirty. The bed was covered in white dog hair, the carpets had clearly not been cleaned properly, and the grill was filthy. The landscaping around the property was also poorly maintained.The bathroom drain in the main bedroom was completely clogged. It took about an hour for the water to drain after using the shower. The chair in the main bedroom was broken, and the refrigerator was not cooling properly, which made it difficult to keep our food fresh.Overall, this was the worst stay we've ever had. I reached out to the host about these issues, but they did not respond or seem to take my concerns seriously. I would not recommend staying here unless these problems are addressed.If you'd like, I can also make it firmer, more concise, or tailor it for --------, Vrbo, or Google Reviews.

Amazing location!

We had such a wonderful time snowmobiling and cross country skiing from this beautiful cabin. We enjoyed the cabin as well. It was a perfect cozy place of relaxation and fun. The cabin was well stocked and well taken care of.

Everything about this cabin was amazing. The location was perfect for visiting Yellowstone and it had amazing views at the cabin. The host was phenomenal and couldn’t have asked for anything else.

Great Location!

We had 15 family members stay here while we visited Yellowstone NP. It was 30 minutes to the park entrance and you went through West Yellowstone which had several eateries. The cabin was spacious and had great views of the Idaho mountains. Well stocked kitchen.

A Beautiful Retreat

We could not have been happier with the cabin and its amenities. There was space for everyone and plenty to keep us occupied when we were in from our adventures during the day. The property manager was just a message away, and they helped a lot with notes in the cabin as well.

Great stay!

Our stay was wonderful. The area was great with an amazing view. The home was spacious and cozy for our traveling party of 9 people. The game room in the basement worked out great for the kids. The back doors were a bit tricky and we had a hard time keeping them closed (that would be my only 'negative' comment, and it honestly wasn't that big of a deal for us).

Nice cabin. Great location and nice size for our big group. However, cabin was on the older side, so a lot of things were broken/not working (fans, oven, beds etc.) Hosts were responsive and helpful to solve our issues in a timely manner though. Additionally, cabin could have been maintained better and kept cleaner (cobwebs outside, some appliances were dirty, left behind food in fridge, etc.). Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed our stay.

Cozy Cabin Castle

Lovely home, fabulous location and quiet stay. Deer passing through the property accompany the spring birds' songs. High-tech lights, fans, outlets and heating provided some challenges, but were quickly resolved with great communication with the host.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The house and property were beautiful and secluded. A lot of the essentials that we needed were stocked at the house. The house was more than spacious and provided plenty of room for all 9 of us. We did feel that some things could have been cleaner at our arrival - especially the counters, fridge, floors, and deck. There were also some minor maintenence items that we wish had been taken care of - windows that didn't open, screens falling out, doors that had to remain locked against the wind, wobbly beds.

Great cabin

Pros: excellent communication with host, very close to Yellowstone, kitchen was well stocked, lots of space for our group of 10. Peaceful and quiet area. Cons: house definitely could be cleaned better. Not sure if the kitchen was done before we arrived as the previous renter’s food was still in the freezer, fridge and microwave were dirty inside, dishes were still in the dishwasher and we found several pots/pans in the cupboards that we needed to wash before using. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the cabin worked well for our group.

Spacious cabin with great views all around

Lots of space of 8 adults in our party. Had wonderful time during our 3 nights stay. Very well equipped and stocked kitchen, spacious living and dining areas. Surroundings exactly as as seen in the pictures. Couple of issues: Outside lights at the front entrance won't light up, which left us in the dark as we park and enter. Many expired items still stocked in the kitchen that are well past the expiry dates need to be thrashed.

We LOVE Henry's Lake, Island Park and being near the West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We are close to the highway but definitely far enough away to only hear the wind in the trees, hawks and eagles flying over and an occasional sighting of Moose and antelope in our front and back yard.

Our property is unique with 3 Large ensuites and a 4th bunk bedroome and it sleeps 16 in those rooms and an additional 2 on a new pullout couch in the main floor living area.
We have a BIG WONDERFUL view of the Sunset off the back deck during the summer months with only a 30 minute drive into West Yellowstone.
