Welcome to the Harbor Hill Inn Cottage. Located next door to the Historic Harbor Hill Inn built in 1873.

The Harbor Hill Inn Cottage offers two units that overlook the Mississippi River and Lake Pepin. We are just one block from the award-winning Harbor View Cafe and the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum. The internationally recognized Villa Bellezza Winery is a comfortable walk or 2 minute drive.

The Piano Suite is the perfect place to enjoy a romantic getaway. Your spacious suite features a Grand Piano, fireplace, full kitchen with a walk out deck to a beautiful yard, and sweeping views of Lake Pepin. Newly remodeled, this space offers amazing sunlight, a spacious bedroom with whirlpool, and a cozy den. The photos tell the story of this gem.

This was our second time staying at this property, and have already booked a third visit! The location can’t be beat - walkable to the beach, restaurant and shops. It’s super quiet and peaceful, and located in a charming area of Pepin. The property is well taken care of, clean, nicely decorated, and feels very spacious with tons of natural light from all the windows. We love the piano in the living room and the outdoor spaces available. Highly recommend!!

This Piano Suite was a perfect get away spot for a long weekend. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary and couldn't have picked a better spot.

Jan is the person hostess and so easy to work with. This was our second visit and won’t be our last. This suite has such a relaxing feel to it with great light. We spend hours on the large deck just watching the trains and the river. The location is excellent for short trips to Stockholm and The Pizza Barn, Our timing was perfect for picking blueberries at Rush River Produce.

The Harbor Hill Inn is special to me as I work to carry out the vision of my late husband Rob. He aspired to cultivate inviting, comfortable spaces that guests enjoyed and couldn't wait to come back to. I look forward to your stay in Pepin and I hope you love it as much as he did and I do!

The Harbor Hill Inn, originally built as a home for Captain Newcomb's daughter in 1873, has three guest rooms and a solarium lounge area for reading, conversation, and enjoying a morning coffee. Newcomb was the captain of the Red Wing ship and created the iconic widow's walk atop the Inn as a viewing point for his wife, who was considered a widow as Newcomb was away at sea for such long periods of time. The lookout was used in the 1800s as a way to see if ships were coming into the harbor. All the rooms overlook the mighty Mississippi as a tribute to Captain Newcomb's trips at sea.

What started as a single building has grown into something even more special. Along with the restored original inn, we were excited to expand the property by purchasing and renovating the ranch house next door—turning it into two luxurious rental units for guests looking for a peaceful, romantic stay. Enjoy your stay at the Piano Suite.

Today, Harbor Hill Inn & Lodging is a place where visitors can slow down, soak in the scenery, and experience the best of small-town hospitality. It’s a story built on passion, vision, and love for a special corner of Wisconsin.
