Experience the charm of this Logan Square Greystone apartment, a chic second-floor plant-filled retreat in Chicago's vibrant Logan Square neighborhood. Just a 7 minute walk to the blue line, our building offers modern convenience while maintaining its true character. Built in 1891 and renovated in 2014, the space contains many of its original features and touches - while being a short walk to some of the hottest bakeries, cafe's, restaurants, and bars that Chicago has to offer.
The space
Nestled on the second floor and accessible via a historic staircase, this vintage Logan Square Greystone apartment offers a tranquil retreat amidst the vibrancy of Chicago. The space contains a mixture of modern and antique furniture to give the aesthetic of stepping back in time with present day comfort. Designed with style and convenience in mind, this urban sanctuary is your gateway to a memorable city stay.
-High-speed Wi-Fi, smart TV, central AC, a desk for working from home, in-unit laundry, Bluetooth speaker, and a private patio deck.
Exterior:
The building contains 2 units. The Logan Greystone apartment is on the second floor and is completely private. The owners live on the first floor.
Living Room:
The living room features vintage artwork, large windows for natural light, flourishing plants, vintage modern furniture, a desk for business travelers, a smart TV, a speaker with Bluetooth connectivity, and high-speed Wi-Fi.
Dining Room:
The dining room is full of sun light, contains vintage artwork and mirrors, and is perfect for a family dinner.
Kitchen:
Enjoy a remodeled, fully equipped kitchen with a double sink, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, stove, oven, and refrigerator. The kitchen is full of utensils and cookware, a Keurig coffee station with coffee pods, and has 4 bar stools to enjoy a night in.
Bedroom 1:
Contains a queen-sized bed, a luggage rack, and a closet with hangers.
Bedroom 2:
Contains a twin sized daybed, a small dresser, a luggage rack, and a closet with hangers.
Bedroom 3:
Includes a queen-sized bed, a dresser, a luggage rack, and a closet with hangers.
Bathroom:
The bathroom is equipped with the essentials and a shower/tub combo
Patio Deck:
Step outside to a private 2nd floor patio with outdoor furniture for relaxing.
Laundry Room:
Conveniently located next to the kitchen, the separate laundry room includes a washer and dryer unit for your convenience.
Guest access
The house entrance is shared with the owner’s unit on the first floor. The entire second-floor apartment is all yours during your visit. The apartment has two entrances: the front door and the back door. We ask that our VRBO guests ONLY use the FRONT ENTRANCE to enter or exit and do not go down the rear steps past the patio deck for any reason other than an emergency or taking out the trash. A code to access the front entrance will be provided at the time of check-in.

Easy Access to Attractions:
-7-minute walk from the Logan Square Blue Line Station (easy access to O’Hare International Airport and Downtown Chicago) and steps from the Logan Square Farmers Market, the Illinois Centennial Monument, Palmer Square, the Logan Theater, Lula Cafe, La Boulangerie, Billy Sunday, Andros Taverna, and more!
Parking:
Parking in the city can be tricky and is not guaranteed. There is free street parking on portions of Spaulding and Kimball, but please be sure to read all posted signs before parking anywhere on the street to avoid getting a ticket or being towed. We are not responsible if anything happens to your vehicle.
Important Notes for Your Stay:
-Although your unit is completely private, please note that our family lives in the lower unit and utilizes the backyard. Please respect our home and neighbors. Violations of ANY OF THE FOLLOWING RULES may result in fines and/or termination of your stay without a refund.
*No parties or unapproved guests. Parties are strictly prohibited.
*No additional guests – only registered guests may enter the property. Additional visitors must be pre-approved.
* Respect quiet hours – Keep noise levels down, especially between 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Failure to respect quiet hours or disturbances from an unauthorized gathering will result in termination of the reservation.
* No smoking – Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the unit. Evidence of smoking, including odor, will result in a $500 remediation charge.
* Lost & found – We are not responsible for lost items. If something is left behind, we will attempt to locate it and ship it at your expense. Please check all drawers and closets before departure.
-Maximum Occupancy: The unit accommodates a maximum of 6 people.
-Pack ‘n Play available in bedroom 3 closet.
-Maintenance Policy: For non-emergency maintenance issues, we are unable to send a maintenance person during your stay. Please report any issues, and we will do our best to address them as soon as possible.
-Starter Consumables: We provide starter consumables such as toilet paper, coffee, and kitchen supplies, but guests are responsible for purchasing more once they run out.
-No Pets Allowed: Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the unit.
-A garbage bin will be placed near the staircase for your convenience when you need to take out the trash.
-Respectful Stay: Please keep in mind that this is our home, so we kindly ask that you treat the space with respect and care.
- Even with central A/C, during the summertime it can get hot. To reduce the heat, keep the blinds down during the day.
-Note that the Logan Greystone is in a dense urban environment, which makes things extremely convenient but with that you may experience external noise from loud vehicles, emergency services, dogs parking, and neighbors enjoying their backyard. The house was also built over 130 years ago. Yes, there has been a remodel, but the insulation is not the same as what’s required in new construction so you may hear our family from time to time and vice versa. Welcome to city living!
