Great location and we had a fabulous time! Some updates have been done to the house but it is a work in progress ! We loved the deer every night in the yard !

Hey Rachel thank you for being such a great guest. Im not sure what i could have done better to get a 5 star review though. I saw your note about updates but not sure what that meant. I feel the pictures and description are accurate so if you feel like you were mislead please let me know. Im sorry you felt i only deserved a 4 star review. I thought I did everything I could as a host. Im sorry.

We had the BEST time on our annual family vacation!! The dock and the view were the highlight of the trip. Our girls LOVED the playground - kept them entertained all day long! The fire pit was the perfect size for a nice relaxing (and cozy) night!

This was our sixth year booking a fall getaway with our grandchildren on Lake Carobeth. We’ve stayed at several other properties on the lake. Last year we found John’s rental. We enjoyed enough to come back again this year. Enough said. Property has everything we need. House is satisfyingly clean. John responds promptly with any need or question. Already looking forward to next year.

Great place to stay on the lake! Kids loved the boats, the hot tub and all the games. The owner was super responsive to all of our needs. Definitely recommend.

My family and I had the most amazing time. My kids literally fished all day and all night. I was so relaxed cooking on the grill and sitting in the hot tub. The house was perfect in every way. Even the game room was exciting and fun. I definitely would consider rebooking next summer!!

We had a wonderful stay at this clean and comfortable lake house. Two families fit easily without feeling crowded, the kitchen had everything we needed, and John was quick to respond to messages. Our children LOVED the game room, and we really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. It was perfect for a family getaway. We would love to return in the summer so we can enjoy the lake!

John was an amazing host. Very kind, attentive and helpful. We went with our young kids and another family and we had a wonderful time. We had so much fun using the many paddle boats/kayaks that were available. The kids loved the play set. We used the hot tub every night. There was just enough room for all of us. The house could use a couple minor updates but was very clean and had everything we needed! We got to fish off the brand new dock and even though we didn't get a chance to use it due to a rainy weekend, the community center looked really nice. Thanks John!

What a perfect house for 8 of us to have Thanksgiving. Probably the cleanest house we’ve rented. John was super! Responded immediately to all my inquiries. The hot tub was spotless and the view was incredible. As great as this house was, I can only imagine what how much better it would be in the summer. Thanks again John.

My family has been renting a home at Lake Carobeth in the fall for the past five years. We have stayed at two different properties on the lake. Due to a scheduling conflict this year, both previous homes were booked so we looked for a new home and found the Poconos Lakefront Retreat. The listings description is completely accurate. When we arrived the house was clean, fresh and ready to go. It really does have everything you need for your stay. The bathrooms had everything including soap, shampoo, etc. The kitchen was nicely supplied with necessary cooking needs. The hot tub was clean and ready. Our granddaughter loved the play set. Our host, John, was quick and prompt with communications and directions. We had a great stay. Our family has already voted to book this for next year.

The layout was perfect for our two families. Enough space to gather and have privacy. The backyard was our favorite, plenty of activities for the kids and the adults!
