Villa Yanko is situated in Tucepi, one of the most famous tourist destinations of the Makarska Riviera. This part of Dalmatia is known for its crystal clear sea and for kilometers of beautiful pebble beaches, which are known to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. It is close to Skywalk (Natur park Biokovo) and close to bigger cities like Split or Makarska and situated just beneath the mountain range Biokovo (Natur Park) which is popular among those who like to spend active holidays. And the highest peak of this mountain range, called Sveti Jure, is 1762 m high and just a short drive away from Tucepi. Villa Yanko is the perfect starting point to explore some of the natural beauties of this region and the historical towns Dubrovnik, Ston, Trogir as well as beautiful islands Brač, Hvar, Korčula, the Lastovo Islands (Natur park), and several national parks in the Neighborhood (Mljet, Plitvice lakes, Krka). And those who are more into sightseeing or nightlife, will not be disappointed too.

Beautiful house, fantastic location, very helpful owners

The property is finished to an exceptionally high standard and owners have thought of everything. The views are stunning and the pool area benefits from sunshine from morning till sunset. The location is quiet, away from the town. It is however, only a few km from the closest supermarkets and there is a fish market and a couple of good butchers. Restaurants in Tucepi and Markarska were good value. The owners were nearby but not intrusive at all. Pool was kept amazingly clean by owner each day before we awoke. Overall a fabulous holiday, we have had villa holidays for years (15 +) and Villa Yanko is the best one so far. We shall consider returning, we have never done this before.

The privacy of our guests is our priority, but our priority is to be helpful too! Sometimes it is difficult to know where is the border between being helpful but not being intrusive. Thank you, we appreciate your opinion! Dear Martin and Emma, and three sons, you were a wonderful guests and every host wants you as a guests. You enjoyed our house and pool as own and left the house after 2 weeks of stay completetly properly and orderly. We are proud to have such a kind guests. I hope you'll come back to visit Villa Yanko again.

We were a family of 4 adults and 5 teens who had a wonderful stay in Villa Yanko. The property was clean on arrival and the pool was excellently maintained throughout our stay (very early each morning so as not to cause us any disruption). The location in Simići permitted excellent views of the beautiful ocean and sunset, whilst maintaining easy access to the local beach, town and restaurants. We were able to either walk or drive between the villa and the town (neither of which are for the faint hearted!) There were numerous local supermarkets 10 minutes drive away. Unfortunately our villa host Marija was not available to meet us at all during our stay and so all communication was via WhatsApp only. The villa had a few small issues of poor maintenance, which did not interfere with the enjoyment of our holiday, but were not quite to the standard I would have expected for the price. One of the en-suite shower rooms had a strong smell of blocked drains throughout our stay. The sitting room curtain track had collapsed on our arrival and so we found the curtains in a heap on the floor. The filter coffee machine was not working and needed to be descaled (by us) to enable us to use it and there were not really enough glasses (or appropriate poolside plastic glassware) for the number of people the villa can accommodate. We used the BBQ area several times during our stay but needed to hold a torch whilst cooking as more than half of the outside lighting did not work.

I am very pleased to hear that you and your family had a wonderful stay at Villa Yanko and that you particularly enjoyed the cleanliness, beautifully maintained pool, stunning sea views, sunsets and convenient location. I am sorry, however, that some of the smaller maintenance details did not meet your expectations. I take your comments seriously and have already followed up on the points you mentioned, including the curtain track, bathroom drainage, outdoor lighting and the provision of suitable glasses. Regarding the coffee machines, there are two coffee makers at the villa. The De’Longhi machine offers a wide range of coffee options and was the one primarily used during your stay. The second machine is a Kenwood filter coffee maker, which is used much less frequently. As it had not been used for some time, it unfortunately developed some limescale. I am sorry that this was not identified and dealt with before your arrival, and I appreciate you mentioning it. I also regret that I was not able to welcome you personally during your stay. I manage Villa Yanko from Zagreb with the support of our local team, and although I am always available to guests by WhatsApp, I understand that personal contact with the host can add something special to the experience. Your feedback is genuinely helpful and gives us an opportunity to make our checks even more thorough, particularly between guest stays. Thank you again for choosing Villa Yanko. I am very glad that, despite these minor issues, you and your family had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed the villa and its beautiful surroundings. Fabulous and delightful

Everything was perfect, from arrival to departure. The property is beautiful and the hosts are the most welcoming lovely people. The location and the view are absolutely spectacular.

Entspannter Sommerurlaub in Kroatien

Sehr gepflegtes und sauberes Haus in wunderschöner,ruhiger Lage. Alles Notwendige im Haus vorhanden. Wunderschöner Pool mit geplegten Außenbereich. Freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Hatten einen sehr erholsamen und Dank der Tips der Vermieter kurzweiligen Urlaub.

Rust en zon in prachtige moderne villa with a view

We hebben een prachtige week gehad met veel zwem plezier . Het weer was fantastisch (25 C) en het zwemmen in het zwembad ( wel verwarmd in verband met de wat koudere nachten in 3de week oktober) en ook in de zee (22 C) was goed te doen. Leuke plaatsjes om te bezoeken zoals Makarska en Podgori (olijfolie fabriekje) en mooie tochten naar Brac (eiland) en naar Biokovo ( ruim 1750 m ) met pittige trails om te lopen, maken het een interessante plek om te verblijven. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en elke avond waren prachtige zonsondergangen te zien. In de ochtend lekker buiten ontbeten ( de zon is midden okt. om 0930 op het terras) . Verder zeer vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw die op verzoek ook de heerlijke traditionele Peka maaltijd voor je kunnen maken.

Wie ein Balkon zum Meer...

Wir haben den Aufenthalt mit unseren beiden Töchtern in der Villa Yanko außerordentlich genossen. Das Haus liegt in den Berghängen oberhalb des Badeortes Tucepi am Rand des kleinen Weilers Simici. Es ist wunderschön gelegen. Nach vorne hat man nicht nur von der Terrasse, sondern auch von allen Räumen einen wunderschönen Panormablick auf das Meer. Nach allen Seiten sieht man Bäume und die Berglandschaft des Biokovo, kaum Bebauung. Das Haus ist sehr neu, modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles ist sauber und appetitlich. Es gibt vier Schlafzimmer, jeweils mit eigenem Bad. Drei dieser Schlafzimmer sind in der ersten Etage und haben Panoramafenster mit Meerblick. Der Infinity-Pool (im etwas kühlen April beheizt auf ca. 23-24 Grad) lädt zum Schwimmen ein mit einem weiten spektakulären Blick aufs Meer. Die technische Ausstattung (in jedem Raum große Flat Screens) und die Küchenausstattung ist sehr hochwertig und komplett, es fehlt an nichts inklusive einer von uns gerne genutzten Outdoor-Tischtennisplatte. Das kleine gepflegte Hafenstädtchen Makarska ist ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto leicht erreichbar, wir empfehlen unbedingt das Restaurant Hrpina mit seiner sensationellen Küche. Man kann sehr schöne Küstenwanderungen zwischen Tucepi und Makarska unternehmen. Dubrovnik erreicht man in ca. 2 1/2 Autostunden nach Süden, Split in ca. 1 1/2 Stunden nach Norden. Die Aufzählung wäre allerdings unvollständig ohne die herzlichen und überaus hilfreichen Gastgeber zu erwähnen, die sich während unseres Aufenthaltes liebevoll um uns kümmerten und jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite standen. Wir haben gehört, dass das Haus gerade auf der Liste der 50 besten Villen am Mittelmeer der Sunday Times gelandet ist. Das wundert uns gar nicht und wir können einen Aufenthalt nur empfehlen!
