Security Cameras
Exterior cameras on house recording 24/7. Cameras do not face into the house.
One is at the back door and one is over the garage. There is also a motion sensored floodlight over the driveway that is equipped with a camera.

Laundry Room
Enjoy the convenience of a full washer and dryer so you can pack light, dry your swimsuits, or clean up after a day on the trail.

There’s plenty of driveway parking, though the garage is now a rec space and not for vehicle use.

We’re design lovers, dog people, and outdoor adventurers — and we’ve poured our hearts into creating a space that’s stylish, comfortable, and always ready for fun.

Important Notes
* A/C: As typical in many mountain homes, the house is not equipped with central air but will have a window unit AC installed in the king bedroom upstairs, in the queen bedroom downstairs and has a mini split in the playroom. These combined with opening windows at night (mountain AC) usually keep the house sufficiently cool in the warmer months.
* Heat & Thermostats: 9 Pines Outpost is equipped with Mysa smart thermostats throughout the home. They work much like a traditional thermostat, so you can easily adjust the temperature directly from the thermostat during your stay. For guest comfort and energy efficiency, the thermostats are set to allow adjustments between 55°F and 78°F. Simply use the controls on the thermostat to select your preferred temperature within that range. Because these are smart thermostats, they can also be monitored and adjusted remotely by our team if needed. If you’re having trouble getting comfortable or think something isn’t working correctly, just send us a message — we’re happy to help! Please avoid resetting, disconnecting, or changing the thermostat’s system settings, as this may affect its connection and operation.
* Garage not for parking: It’s been turned into a game room, but there’s ample driveway parking.
* Pet Fee: $75/pet, with host approval required.
NOTE: - Since we’re a pet-friendly home, this means wagging tails and happy paws are welcome here! Our cleaning team does a fantastic job, but a stray fur or two may still sneak by. If allergies are a concern, we totally understand and recommend choosing a pet-free property for maximum comfort.
* Property Fee/Insurance Waiver: $60, This is a flat fee that will cover your stay up to $1500 in accidental damages to provide peace of mind to you as well as us.
* No smoking or vaping, $1,000 cleaning fee if violated.
* Please be mindful of our neighbors, quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM.

Winter Travel Notice
From November–March, expect snow and icy conditions. Please plan ahead:
* AWD/4WD vehicles are highly recommended
* Chains or snow tires may be required
* Our driveway is plowed regularly, but accumulation is possible
* Check weather reports before travel
* Guests are responsible for their vehicles — we are not liable for towing or delays due to road conditions

That said, if you ever need help or local guidance, we’re just a message away. A little planning goes a long way — and the snowy setting is all part of the magic here in McCall!
