We stay in VRBOs quite often, and this one has officially moved to the top of our list! The space was beautiful, immaculate, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The private backyard was amazing and honestly made it hard to leave and do the things we had planned!The hosts thought of every detail, including great food, beach, and activity recommendations. It was one of those places where you immediately felt comfortable and didn’t want to leave. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Perfect getaway!

Pam is a wonderful hostess and the property is well located, neat, clean and stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We plan on coming back! Loved it!

family visit

We had a great time. Pam was a terrific host. The Cottage was immaculate, perfect, in terms of size (for two adults),and absolutely spotless. She thought of everything, chargers for the phones, nice little welcome snacks. Absolutely a gem of a place to stay. Close to the beach and restaurants.

We loved our six-night stay here. The space was quiet, spotless, well-designed, and perfect for two. There was lots of natural light from big windows (with blinds), and it had the best nighttime indoor lighting we’ve ever had in a rental. The patio was really large and nicely furnished. The bed and pillows were super comfy, and we appreciated the great shower, modern appliances, and quality kitchenware. It’s not often you get lots of empty, horizontal spaces for your own “stuff”—it felt spacious. The cottage and patio sit well behind the main house, and the layout and landscaping give you absolute privacy. It’s a nice neighborhood, and the location was convenient to everything we wanted to do. Pam was delightful, and it’s obvious that she cares a lot about offering people a warm and welcoming place. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and cannot say enough good things about this beautiful guest home. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The home itself (as well as the yard) is phenomenal — comfortable, welcoming, beautifully maintained, and truly the perfect getaway spot for my husband and me as we celebrated 25 years of marriage.The location was also ideal and made it easy for us to enjoy so much of Southern California. During our stay, we explored San Diego and visited the USS Midway, spent time in La Jolla, enjoyed Oceanside with a whale watching cruise, local shopping, great local food, the pier, the Top Gun house, and relaxing while watching surfers. We also drove the PCH to Malibu, visited Calabasas, Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, South Pasadena, several famous film locations, and even made it to Joshua Tree National Park.After full days of sightseeing, it was such a pleasure to come back and relax here. It was peaceful, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. We made so many wonderful memories, shared lots of laughs, and truly could not have picked a better place to stay.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect home base for a Southern California getaway.

Perfect Getaway!

I felt like I was home when I entered the casita! A well stocked kitchen, comfy bed, plenty of table space and outlets for electronics. Reliable wi-fi. Beautifully decorated. Everything needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoors is inviting with multiple spaces to relax with privacy. A quiet, walkable neighborhood and a short drive to all activities and amenities. Walk to coffee shops, the lagoon, or the ocean. A short drive to hiking trails, parks, and many quaint California towns. I've used VRBO for many rentals and this is a superior property. The owner is accessible, friendly and wants to make a stay as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend this rental and will stay again when possible. Barb R

We had an amazing stay at this property ! The home was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. The location was fantastic, with plenty of attractions and things to do nearby.One of our favorite parts was the backyard—it was perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. The house was ideal for me and my daughter, and the kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals.Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, fun, and convenient place to stay. We would absolutely stay here again!

We couldn’t of a asked for a nicer place to stay. Pam went above and beyond as our host. Such a comfortable and enjoyable casita and private but with a large backyard and everything possible for a fun evening! Thank you Pam!!

Nothing Not To Like

Here is my very personal checklist of likes: Convenience: Very close to freeway entrance/exit, making it accessible to virtually any city in the region. Noise: In spite of freeway proximity, home is amazingly quiet! Ours not to reason why. It just is….. Kitchen: Fully equipped for all cooking needs, even though we didn’t cook. Well stocked with coffee, tea, etc. Bed: Definitely comfortable and we’re picky! Exercise: Area is very conducive to walking. One doesn’t have to climb up and down steep hills, whether it’s to the ocean, shopping area and restaurants, or simply strolling around the neighborhood.. TV: Easy to understand. For a change, we didn’t have to fight and struggle to find the channels we wanted. Water purifier: We didn’t have to run out and buy bottled water because she has a built in system. This was one of our favorite rentals, and we have done many over the past 20 plus years. Cottage was beautifully appointed with a light and airy feel, yet private as it’s tucked away behind the host’s house. Garden and patio area is lovely, and Pam bends over backwards to keep her guests happy. We definitely plan to return!

Beautiful casita in Oceanside

My husband and I had stayed at Pam’s place a couple of years ago, we were so happy when we found out it was available. Pam’s place is so convenient, walking to beach, restaurants, shops. If you don’t want to walk she has two bikes to use., and of course all the beach stuff you may need, chairs, umbrella, etc. The casita is cozy, well decorated, everything we needed was there. The private backyard was perfect for morning coffee, a nap in the afternoon and a glass of wine in the evening, beautiful plants and trees all around. We had a nice evening around the fire pit with Pam and her husband Thanks Pam ❤️ Hope to be back soon

Perfect romantic getaway

My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary. This adorable casita was the perfect location. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Plenty of things to entertain us at the house. Great location. Would definitely stay again. Pam was the perfect host.

Words can't express how enchanted we were when we entered this adorable guest house.

It has everything we were looking for during our short stay in the area. Cozy, cute, but most of all comfortable, we definitely felt at home. And, while shuffleboard isn't something we've done much of, we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the court. Thank you for your hospitality. We were delighted to stay and hope to return again soon.

Fun mini-vacation

Pam was an excellent host. We really appreciated the treats she left and all of the extras. We had a lot of fun riding the bikes and boogie boarding. The place had everything we needed and was very comfortable.

Beautiful stay

Pam was incredibly welcoming. Home was just as shown in the pictures if not better. This is the only place we’ll be staying from here on out for our visits. Beautiful relaxing backyard, comfortable bed and all the amenities you Could need

Perfect jumping off point

This was an unexpected pleasure. You really can't tell by the listing but this place is small, elegant and perfect for a single woman to get some rest and sneak away to see her family. My grandson, when visiting, loved all the wonderful toys that are there and was very entertained with everything there. Thank you for a wonderful, much needed relaxing stay.

Quality Property in a Great Location

We had a great experience and Pam, our host was terrific! The house and grounds are lovely and well maintained. The location provides easy access to the surrounding areas and it's a nice walk down to the beach. I was visiting family for Thanksgiving and this was the perfect spot to relax. I will definitely stay here every time I visit the area. Thanks Pam for providing such a special place to stay!!

Great vacation wonderful cottage

We exited I-5 and literally turned onto the first street adjacent to the Interstate. We arrived later than expected and it was dark. The street is not well lit and we had a bit of trouble finding the house. Once we did, it was smooth sailing. The cottage was well laid out, newly remodeled, clean and charming. We were concerned that the highway noise was going to be over the top but we were pleasantly surprised (relieved actually) that we did not hear it at all. We sat outside for coffee every morning and it was very peaceful. One evening we lit the flame in the outside fire pit, nice. The cottage was just minutes, by car, away from Oceanside pier and beach and around 25 minutes to Encinitas. We would definitely stay with Pam and Frank again. Gay and Ken Simeral, Prescott, AZ

Wonderful hidden treasure - this owner's have made it a little oasis in busy SoCal.

Wonderful! Great location!

Pam was very hospitable...cute little note greeted us upon arrival. Little home is immaculate, and instructions given on how to use everything. Very user friendly. Would definitely stay again! Thank you, Pam!
