I had such a great experience staying here! From the very first minute, the host was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful. He even suggested a few things that made my stay even better, which I really appreciated. The place itself is amazing. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the vibe is perfect whether you’re staying for just one night or for a longer stay. But the highlight has to be the view — it’s honestly one of the best views of the city I’ve ever seen! The pool was also amazing, and the entire property was beautiful and relaxing. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with an incredible view. I would absolutely come back!

We're locals who've stayed at this place several times over the past few years - my husband and I basically come here every year for a summer staycation to celebrate our birthdays/anniversary. Every year this place just gets better. The house is immaculately clean, the views are breathtaking, the pool is relaxing, there are so many thoughtful amenities throughout the property, and the hosts - Mason and Anik - are very communicative without being invasive, and truly kind, welcoming and easy to work with.

The property was wonderful and as advertised. We had a minor issue with a chirping smoke detector, and the maintenance team came and fixed it immediately. Would definitely recommend.

My family and I have been staying at The Great Escape on Clayton Road for the past four years, and it has become our favorite home away from home. Every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. It’s peaceful, exceptionally clean, comfortable, and truly feels like our own private retreat. From the moment you arrive, you feel at ease. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the home is beautifully maintained, and every amenity you could need is thoughtfully provided. This year, they even added a coffee maker, which was such a wonderful bonus for us.One of the biggest highlights is the breathtaking view. Photos simply cannot capture how beautiful this property really is. If you’re lucky enough to stay over the Fourth of July, you’re in for an unforgettable experience. You can see fireworks and drone shows across San Jose from the property, making it one of the most spectacular places to celebrate the holiday.I also love that there is a piano in the house. As someone who enjoys playing, it makes every stay even more special. The heated pool is fantastic, and having a sauna is another luxury that sets this place apart. The surrounding countryside, with horses grazing nearby, creates a peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to find so close to the city. Most importantly, Mason is an exceptional host. He is always quick to respond, genuinely cares about his guests, and goes above and beyond to make every stay memorable. Can’t wait to be back and make more memories with my family.
