Le Chalet du Ciel is a secluded, south-facing, fully serviced Swiss chalet nestled high in the mountains just 20 Mins (14 miles) from Gstaad. With no neighboring properties, expansive panoramic terraces, and breathtaking views of the surrounding Alpine peaks, this authentic 1890 “Heidi-style” chalet offers an idyllic mountain escape in every season—whether as a serene summer retreat or a cozy winter ski base.

Set amidst pristine nature above the charming cheese-making village of L’Etivaz, Le Chalet du Ciel offers total privacy and tranquility. Surrounded by forests, fields, and majestic mountains, the chalet provides a unique opportunity to experience traditional Swiss Alpine life with modern luxury.

Summer:
In summer, the property is surrounded by lush pastures and pine forests, with countless hiking trails at your doorstep. The chalet overlooks a working dairy farm, producing some of Switzerland’s finest cheeses. You’ll be serenaded by the gentle sound of cowbells as you relax in the sun.

Winter:
In winter, the chalet becomes a peaceful snowy sanctuary. The nearest ski slopes are just a six-minute drive away, with access to over 200 km of pistes open from late October to early May. After a day on the slopes, return to the warmth and stillness of your private Alpine haven.

As part of your stay, you’ll enjoy the exceptional care and attention of our dedicated Resident Chalet Butler, delivering a seamless experience that mirrors the standards of a five-star hotel. Thoughtful, discreet, and always attentive, your butler ensures that every detail is taken care of—so you can simply relax and enjoy your time in the mountains.

The butler is available for 8 hours each day, typically divided between a morning shift and a late afternoon to early evening service. From preparing your morning tea or coffee and making the beds, to providing evening turndown and maintaining the chalet throughout the day, the service is tailored to your rhythm and comfort. If you provide the ingredients, a light breakfast can also be prepared and served to your preferences.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with hot or cold lavender-scented towels and a personal tour of the property. Throughout your stay, your butler will ensure that every room remains pristine, drinks are served when desired, and any personal needs—such as shopping, luggage assistance, or special arrangements—are taken care of with ease.

Should you wish to extend the butler’s service beyond the standard 8 hours, additional time is available upon request at CHF 25 per hour.

Chalet Butler Fee
A mandatory Chalet Butler Fee of CHF 200 per night applies and is payable locally at the end of your stay. This fee is not included in the booking cost and ensures a level of service that transforms your chalet stay into a truly luxurious and personalised experience. Payment by credit card is accepted.

Important Policies
Le Chalet du Ciel is a peaceful retreat. To preserve the serenity of the environment, we strictly prohibit parties and loud music after 9 PM. Sound carries across the mountains, and we respect the quiet lifestyle of nearby farmers.

Unauthorized Events: A penalty of CHF 6000 will apply for unauthorized parties or disturbances, and the booking may be terminated without refund.

Private Events: Events may be arranged during the winter season upon approval. A supplemental fee of CHF 3000 to CHF 6000 will be applied depending on the scope of the event.

Luxury Chalet Housekeeping & Guest Services

To ensure the highest level of comfort during your stay, we offer comprehensive daily housekeeping and personalized service provided by your dedicated Resident Chalet Butler. This tailored experience is designed to maintain a five-star standard throughout your visit.

Daily Housekeeping & Chalet Butler Service
Your Chalet Butler is available 24/7 and will discreetly manage all housekeeping needs, including:

• Morning cleaning and refresh of living spaces
• Evening turndown service
• Full linen and laundry services
• Assistance with groceries, errands, and special requests

Chalet Service Fee:
• CHF 150 per night, payable locally at the end of your stay (not included in the initial booking total)
• Credit card payment is accepted
• Fee applies for every night stayed; check-in and check-out days included

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with lavender-scented towels (hot or cold, per your preference) and a personal tour of the chalet to ensure you're fully settled in.

If you require additional assistance such as babysitting, personalized shopping, or special event setup, these services can be arranged at CHF 50 per hour.

Guest Policy

Le Chalet du Ciel is a tranquil mountain retreat designed for rest and relaxation. To preserve the peaceful atmosphere and honor the quiet rhythm of the surrounding alpine community, we kindly ask guests to observe the following:

No parties or loud music are permitted after 9 PM. Sound travels easily across the mountains, and we deeply respect the serene lifestyle of our neighboring farmers and residents.

Unauthorized events or gatherings are strictly prohibited.

Please note that violations of this policy may result in a CHF 6,000 penalty and immediate termination of the booking without refund.
