Stay Inside Yosemite National Park at the Hummingbird Pines House!

IMPORTANT: We do not accept third party bookings. The person whose name is on the reservation must be staying at the property.

We no longer accept dogs, no exceptions.

INTERNET AND CELL SERVICE: Please note that we do not have wifi OR satellite TV (though we do have an extensive DVD library), because trees around the house block satellite reception from the South sky. There is spotty cell service in Yosemite West. There is free wifi available in Yosemite Valley at Degnan's Kitchen, and there are computers with wifi at the libraries in Yosemite Valley and Wawona. If you need wifi during your stay, please see our other vacation cabins in Yosemite West (Hummingbird Raven House, VRBO 94764) or in Wawona (Hummingbird Pika House, VRBO 1156877).

Pricing is $475.00 base price for up to 4 guests. $40.00 per night for each additional guest per night after the first 4 guests. Children age 3 and under stay for free. 10% discount on one week stays. County tax is 13.5%. Minimum stay 2 nights.

The Hummingbird Pines House is one of very few vacation homes in Yosemite West with only two stairs into the house, making it ideal for guests of all ages. Please note: we cannot have wheelchairs or walkers in our house as they damage the floors. Our other house in Yosemite West is Hummingbird Raven House, listing #94764.

If our cabin and Yosemite are accessible, we do not cancel, modify, or refund reservations based on smoke, which is a very common occurrence in Yosemite each summer. This policy is consistent with other vacation rentals in Yosemite West.

Yosemite West is inside Yosemite National Park. It is a 25-35 minutes drive to Yosemite Valley attractions, 30 minutes to Glacier Point and 30 minutes to Mariposa Grove and Wawona. This is also the closest lodging for Badger Pass Ski Area, with downhill and cross country skiing and snowshoeing - only eight miles away from your door.

This Yosemite West home is located close to the Glacier Point Road, so you are very close to Taft Point and Glacier Point, the most spectacular views of Yosemite Valley.

This house sleeps a maximum of 8-10 people. We cannot accommodate more than 10 guests.

Up to 2 children under age 3 stay free, 10% discount on one week stays. (Please let us know if any of your children are aged 3 and under when you fill out the inquiry form.)

The upstairs master bedroom has a king size bed and bath. Downstairs are two additional bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. We have an upstairs loft area with two single beds, and a fold-out sofa bed in the downstairs living area which sleeps 2. All beds have comforters and pillows.

This house is equipped with a full kitchen and a large dining table. There is a bbq and dining furniture on the deck, which is a wonderful place to enjoy dinner and watch the sunset.

Like most homes in Yosemite West, Hummingbird Pines House does not have air conditioning. We do have individual room fans. Our location is 6,000 feet elevation, so generally remains cooler than Yosemite Valley.

What a great home in an amazing location! We had an awesome time. Just be aware there is not only no wi-fi (due to being in a forest filled with giant tress), but there is also no cell signal. What better place to disconnect from devices for a while!? :-)

Absolutely wonderful property. Wonderful location. I would recommend this property to anyone who comes to this area. Host was great. We ran out of propane for the grill and messaged them. 15minutes later they showed up.with a new tank. The service couldn't be better!

We had an awesome stay! The location was perfect, just a short drive to Tunnel View and many of Yosemite’s most popular attractions. The place was very clean, comfortable, and private.One of my favorite things was actually having no WiFi, cable, or cell service. It brought back memories of how we used to spend time together as a family. After long days of walking and hiking around Yosemite, we cooked dinner together, played board games, and ended the night putting in a DVD for a family movie night. It honestly made the experience even more special.We also really appreciated how much our privacy was respected. Everything was handled so smoothly between guests and housekeeping that the place truly felt like our own little Yosemite getaway while we were there. Our host was never intrusive but was very easy to reach when needed and genuinely pleasant to talk to. She even happily shared her favorite local spot for groceries with us!We would definitely stay here again.

Very roomy and clean but Rug very stained. Listing is accurate, no toiletries supplied other than hand soap. Only 4 washcloths and 8 glasses. Only kitchen stable is coffee filters, dishwasher and dish soap. Good to know these things because stores are not close. Owners supply lots of useful information about area and conveniences. Good communication before our stay but no reply after we arrived and had a concern.

We never received any communication from this guest during their stay. If we had, we would have asked our housekeeper to bring by more washcloths. We definitely had many more glasses when we were at the cabin in early May, so will check with our housekeeper to find out what's going on with the glasses. I steam cleaned all the rugs one week before this guest arrived.

Beautiful home in gorgeous setting

Perfect for Yosemite Visit

This is a spacious, lovely home inside the park. We really enjoyed the location, quiet neighborhood, easy access to the park. Great communication with the hosts too. Comfy beds, good kitchen for meal prep, nice dining area. Would visit again.

Family Celebration

We found the place was a great size for all of our family to stay. However, it did feel that the amenities were a bit bare bones and lack luster. The beds and living areas were comfortable and the deck was lovely. The proximity to the park was great, especially since we did not have to wait in line at the gate.

Beautiful house & location!

We had an awesome trip to Yosemite and this cabin was perfect. We had a one year-old, a three year-old, two older grandparents and a small dog--- and everyone had a great stay! Easy accessibility, very clean, well set up, and in a beautiful location. Highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway

The house is dated but clean, with a fantastic location and a beautiful deck overlooking the back of the property. Staying inside Yosemite National Park made it easy to hit the trailheads early each morning. While the home shows its age, it’s cozy and inviting, stocked with games, puzzles, and essentials—perfect for relaxing and unplugging after a long day of hiking, especially with no WiFi to distract you.

Hummingbird Pines is inside the park, but outside the bustle of Yosemite Valley so it is quiet and peaceful. This house is ideal for groups of family and friends who want a nice house to come back to after a long day of adventure

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

This house is unusual in Yosemite West for it's easy access - there are only 2 stairs leading into the house, making it ideal for family groups with elderly members. Please note: we cannot have wheelchairs or walkers in our house as they damage the floors. It's a beautiful, large house with a cathedral ceiling in the living room. The house has a large kitchen and dining area, a barbecue on the deck and large living room with DVD player and DVD library.

Yosemite West is inside the Park boundaries, so it's a perfect location to enjoy Yosemite (20 minutes to Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point, and close to various trailheads). It has the advantage of being very close to the Badger Pass ski area, and being at a higher elevation than the Valley, which keeps the temperatures more comfortable in the summer months.
