This property was ideally situated for our family to enjoy the rich history of Gettysburg but also escape from the busyness of life. The rooms were spacious and afforded the opportunity for the family to gather around the table for meals and still break-off and have quiet time.

This farmhouse property is a gem! All the comforts with historical charm. The views are so delightful and the lake is beautiful. Our family had a wonderful time. The property owner was on point in answering any questions we had. The swing in the backyard was a real plus for the kids in our family. Perfect location.I highly recommend this property to anyone, especially if you have kids!

What a great alternative to staying in the hotels in Gettysburg. You really felt immersed in the history here. I read an earlier review about no AC, But there were plenty of window units in each bedroom and in the downstairs. Kids loved the swing. Wished we had more time to enjoy the property itself!

Enjoyed staying here for our son's graduation from Gettysburg. The home was clean and well equipped. The property was beautiful- large yard and a pond. Would definitely recommend to others wanting to stay in Gettysburg and would rent this property again.

Beautiful location and property. Great place to spend time with family and friends. Everything very well kept in the house, owners are easy to communicate with. We plan to go back next year!

We loved the historic home and grounds, and convenience to the sites. We were enjoying the trivia cards and the very nice size dining table. The best part of our stay was our son-in-law finding his ancestor's memorial plaque among the monuments, & seeing his name there.

Everything was great! The vicinity to all of the Gettysburg monuments and downtown Gettysburg was wonderful, the beds are comfortable and check-out/in is very simple. There are plenty of places to go out for dinner and that.

The property was awesome! Beautiful old farmhouse steps from the battlefield, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! Check-in was easy, and was granted a late check- out when requested. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want a true Gettysburg experience!

Family Getaway

Had a wonderful time at the farmhouse! Very picturesque with an authentic country feel. Close into town yet out far enough to enjoy the countryside!

The house is beautiful and very close to attractions and shopping. The scenery is remarkable with an upstairs balcony/porch in the master bedroom. The property is relaxing with a nice pond to sit by. The host is easy to deal with and doesn't have a lot of requirements like other VRBO hosts. All concerns were shared directly with the host and received a prompt response.Pros:1. Lots of space to sit and socialize2. 2 showers3. Vintage look and feel4. Location, location, location Things to prepare for...1. The kitchen has very little counter space. 2. If you like a QUICK cup of coffee, bring your own pot. The one on site is a very slow drip Mr. COFFEE. I didn't care. My wife on the other hand needed coffee sooner.3. The house currently lacks in decent pots and pans but has bare necessities to work with.4. No WIFI at this time. In the age of all data plan cell phones, not a big issue. But it is important to some.Thanks to the host for allowing us to stay.

Beautiful property! Had everything that we needed for the weekend. Plenty of room. Very clean. We enjoyed the boat and the pond. Would highly recommend. Location is great! We really enjoyed our time in Gettysburg!

The house is charming and spacious. Lots of outdoor space for kids to play. Very convenient to Gettysburg and a short drive to Amish country.

Weekend retreat

The property was amazing with the pond , fire pit and plenty of yard for the kids to play. The fishing was great, caught plenty of fish. The house was large and full of rustic charm and history.

Beautiful historic home

We stayed there to attend a local wedding. The house was beautiful and well maintained. The location was perfect. Nice and quiet, no close neighbors and it was easy to find where you were going. Check in/out was super easy.

Gettysburg History Review

We had a wonderful time in Gettysburg and our stay at the farm was awesome. If you are looking to stay at an old farm house with all the character that offers then this is your place! Every room has its own feel and helps bring a coziness to your stay. we would gladly choose this place again.
