House was very clean and very spacious. Sarah was easy to work with. The house is close to the town of Marshall and I-66 which was good. We were here for a wedding in The Plains and it was maybe 15 minutes away. We did not have any problems with our cell phone or directions. Thank you for the coffee bar and items in the bathroom to start off our stay.

Sarah was a great host! Everything was in good working order and very clean! The location was great and close to wineries and local stores.

This rental property is beautiful and in a great community. The minute you walk in the front door you feel the charm and love of the home. Sarah was great to work with and communicated quickly upon being asked a few questions. The Marshall Diner was open on Thanksgiving Day so we ate there and the folks there were our on the road family for the day. A Great stay for sure!!

Great property, clean and organized... the one thing which prevented the 5 stars was that the door lock impossible to use

Josephine‘s cottage was absolutely amazing! Me and the family decided to go to Plains Virginia to visit the Scottish games. Upon arrival to the property, there was no cell phone service, so be sure to write down the code prior to your arrival. The house was absolutely spotless and had everything that you would need. Make sure that you visit the grocery store prior to your arrival. There are no condiments or food of any sort at the property. Main Street, which is only six minutes down the road has everything that you need. I recommend checking out the Blue Mountain Café.

We absolutely loved Josephine's Cottage. A beautiful home, well kept and very clean. It was far enough outside of DC to enjoy the countrying feeling but close enough to go and enjoy anything that DC has to offer.Would suggest this location and host as our experience was wonderful!!Lynn
