Peaceful Pacific

We had a very relaxing stay. Beautiful view of Ocean from balcony. Love Coronado island. Condo spacious and had all we needed. 3 Large closets with plenty of shelves and hangers. Kitchen was well equipped and enjoyed cooking there. Would definitely would return if available.

AWESOME VIEWS!!

What a lovely place with a magnificent view and roomy balcony!! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The owner and his team are excellent and responsive, and the building personnel are friendly and helpful. The unit has everything you need to relax and explore all Coronado and San Diego have to offer. This dog-friendly condo is well located near the Del side of the boardwalk, making a trip to town a breeze. The parking space is right by the door for easy unloading of bags and groceries. I have stayed at the Shores off and on for 30+ years and this location was easily one of the best!! Thank you. I look forward to doing it again.

Gorgeous condo and setting

Condo is lovely, just as pictured! We so enjoyed the view, sunsets and walks on beach. The owner is quickly responsive to questions and most generous in his hospitality. We had a wonderful stay.

Never Ending Views

We have enjoyed this property for the past three years and have booked for 2022! Immaculate housekeeping, and perfect location with all amenities. There is a wonderful welcoming basket upon arrival! It is definitely our Happy Place with the most amazing views!

Whatever questions you would ask me I could only give a positive answer. I truly did not have to bring one thing from home everything you possibly want was there. We did not have any need to meet the property manager.

Outstanding!

Both this unit’s and the Coronado Shores’ amenities are outstanding. Our condo had everything we needed to feel at home. The pools are pristine as are the rest of the grounds. We could not have been more pleased or satisfied.

Spectacular View

We enjoy this property so much!! It has an amazing view of Point Loma, is close to all things Coronado, and a few steps to the beach, as well as Hotel Del Coronado. Our daughter and son-in-law joined us for a few days. Perfect place to spend Thanksgiving. Always welcoming with flowers, wine, and goodies upon arrival. We have gone the past several years and plan to go in 2021!!

Beautiful Condo

I loved my stay in Coronado, however due to "COVID 19" I had to leave March 16, 2020...... about two weeks short in my stay. I am not sure if I get any type of refund....Do I receive my damage deposit back? Thank you.

Coronado January 2020

Lovely condo! The owner is very friendly. The extras that they provided (flowers, wine, cheese & crackers) were wonderful. Condo was perfectly furnished with pretty much everything that you could think of. I have stayed in several condo's at The Shores but this one was definitely one of the best. The owners go above and beyond to accommodate you!

Our Happy Place

Amazing view, excellent service, and our checkin with the most gracious Mr. Swegles was so welcoming!! We stay at many VRBO’s and arrived to an immaculate condo with a delicious Welcoming package, coffee, wine, cheese, fruit, and rolls. The location is perfect to access Coronado whether walking or driving, and ten minutes to set up at the beach! A big Thank you to the Swegles family!! See you next time!!!

Simply Amazing

I typically keep a healthy skepticism when I read reviews, but I will admit the reviews you read here are spot on. The condo, the views, the location are simply amazing. Bill, the owner meet us in the lobby and was very gracious and kind. He took an hour of his time to show us his property and how everything worked. The condo was exceptionally clean, organized and streamlined. No clutter or unneeded knickknacks which made us feel like the condo was ours, allowing us to feel more at home. We truly appreciated the gift basket of goodies his granddaughters set out for us. Robert the doorman was professional and easy to communicate with. The beach, the neighboring restaurants were all great and easy to walk to. If you bike I would recommend bringing them. My wife and I biked all over the island and even took them on the ferry to downtown San Diego and Seaport Village. The Coronado Shores hosts several social events throughout the week at the clubhouse. Bingo, line dancing etc. We took advantage of their Friday night dance which has a live band. A few of the owners who lived there were very kind and invited us to share their table. We had a great time and already booked our return trip.

Great stay in Coronado!

We loved staying in Coronado in this wonderful condo. The place was sparkling clean when we arrived. The owner was there to greet us and explain everything. We had a small plumbing problem and the problem was taken care of right away. We were very impressed with the service!

Magnificent View

The owner Bill Swegles was easy to communicate with and answered any question we had prior and during our stay . His 12th floor condo at the Shores had the most magnificent view of the ocean and the balcony ran the entire span of the unit. The condo was stocked with everything imaginable and the building amenities were superlative. The furniture in the unit is first class and we would love these furnishings in our own home. The staff at the building get a 6 star rating. We have next year booked already and have asked for 2021.

WORLD CLASS ACCOMMODATIONS WITH OUTSTANDING VIEWS!

We stayed at this lovely condo last September and immediately rebooked for this September. The pictures and descriptions are spot on however the true appreciation for this location isn’t realized until you’re there, with a view guaranteed to impress! The expansive Coronado shoreline is steps away for either a leisurely walk or your morning jog. Sunsets melt in the distance as you relax on the large balcony overlooking the ocean or poolside grilling your favorites on yes, clean, gas bbq grills. Amenities also include sparkling swimming pools and a complete fitness facility. When we arrived, we were greeted by the waiting owner and he courteously escorted us through the building, showing us the convenient garaged parking space. He introduced us by name to the lobby staff and then brought us up to the 12th floor. As soon as you walk through the door of the condo, you’re completely amazed by the spectacular ocean view. We were then surprised to find a welcoming gift basket with a nice variety of goodies to hold us over until we stocked the kitchen later that day. The folding grocery handcart proved super handy. The owner proceeded to show us operational features such as wifi, thermostat, tv, appliances, etc. We must make special mention of the meticulously clean condo; everything was also neatly folded and stowed away, yet easy to find when needed. Honestly, the owners were the best part of our stay. We’ve traveled around the globe but let’s face it, if your hosts aren’t accommodating, the most wondrous vacation can turn disastrous, especially when the unexpected happens and you have limited to no resources. How nice to know you can call the owner and reliably he will do his very best to help you. We have experienced this first-hand and we still marvel at the owner’s expeditious response with genuine concern for our well-being and kindness rarely found among strangers. We’re excited about our return vacation at Coronado and at the same time, we feel so at ease for what has now become our “home away from home” and owners who we consider friends. Thank you so much Mr. & Mrs. Swegles and family!

We believe that we're in the business of making people happy. However, as hard as we try, we keep finding room for improvement. Thank you so much.

A Gem Of a Property On a Gem Of an Island

Everything about this marvelous property was as advertised and then some. A personal tour by the owner himself on New Year's Day started it out perfectly and it only got better from there. The unit was very clean and well maintained and everything we needed was in place. The view of the Pacific from the over sized balcony was the icing on the cake. And the ocean side multiple pool and whirlpool complexes were exceptional. And the town of Coronado is very welcoming. We felt like we lived there after a week or so. Wonderful restaurants and one of the cutest, quaint downtown areas anyone could ask for. Quite frankly, we never left the island as we have seen all of the sites off island on previous trips. We can't wait to come back. My wife and I highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed.
