Great pool focused vacation spot

Really enjoyed staying with my young family and spending time outside and in the pool. Great racquet club estates location with authentic charm.

Great stay

Great, quiet location, yet close to hikes, restaurants. We loved the yard—the pool and hot tube. Lots of umbrellas. Comfortable beds.

Beautiful, well equipped house.

This is a lovely, well designed property which was pe get for a family of 4. Pool and hot tub are private and well maintained. Easy check in, great communication with th host / agency.

A mid-century modem gem

Adorable little house with a relaxing pool and spa. Quiet neighborhood, aside from the airport noise but that wasn’t too bad at all. Comfy king master. Would definitely stay again!

Relaxing Stay

We had a great time during our stay. The outdoor space is excellent and very private. The house is comfortable and well stocked. Checking in and out was super easy. I would recommend this property to other families.

Review

I think if you include the price of pool heating that would make it easier to get it when it appears as a separate charge it seems excessive. Overall the trip was good but I felt all the rental company or owner was really worried about was noise. Everything seemed to revolve around not making noise

Wonderful Family Retreat!

Our family (2 adults and two children) stayed in Desert Star and loved every minute of it. The interior of the home is comfortable and beautifully decorated with everything you might need for the stay (my wife must have said "they thought of everything!" 20 different times over the week). The outside space is incredible - our children basically lived in the amazing pool and hot tub all week. The home is close to great restaurants, the tram, and access to Joshua Tree. This place is a real treasure. We will be back!

Loved our stay despite dealing with Covid-19

We arrived on March 11th. Pretty much when everything started to cancel- Indian Wells, Coachella etc. We carried on with our stay because you have to live somewhere and we mostly self-isolated except for trips to Albertsons, hikes in the mountains and some take-out from local restaurants. The property was our little haven with a lovely pool and hot tub everyday during all of this. We requested an extra day as our returning flights to Toronto had been changed so we needed to regroup. The property owner offer a 10% discount and didn't charge us for heating the pool for that final day. That was a nice consideration. We would definitely return to the Steel Butterfly because of its good proximity to the Old Palm Springs Strip, access to good hiking and walking, good selection of dining out and easy drive to the airport. All the amenities were as advertised. There were a few minor fixes that I will be direct messaging to the owner, but otherwise thanks for the stay during a very surreal moment in time.

Beautiful vacation in Palm Springs

This house was a dream for our family (6 adults, 2 school age kids) getaway! It is as gorgeous as the pictures show, and the amenities provide all your home-away-from home needs. 10/10 would recommend!!!!

Great Family Vacation

Had a great stay at this property. Everything was as advertised on the listing. The 3 bedrooms are a good size and slept everyone comfortably. The property is well set up and having the outdoor shower was very convenient and so was the door from the outside to the bathroom without having to go through the house. There was a pack and play playpen available for use which was nice. The whole outdoor space is great and captures all the sun even in the winter so you can catch plenty of it. Only word of caution for those bringing kids there is a few easily reached breakable items in the home but are easily put away for the stay and put back out when leaving. Would definitely stay here again we had no issues and a care free stay.

Beautifully decorated house with a fantastic outdoor space.

Stayed for a week with a 2 year old and a new born. It was a beautiful house with all the amenities you need. Loved the indoor and outdoor kitchens. Our toddler loved the outdoor bathtub.
