It worked out fine for our travels through Mckeesport on the GAP. It is only about 4 blocks from the trail.

No complaints !The home smelled awesome when you walked in and was very clean. Neighbors were noisy but nothing much you can do about that.

We vend so we aren't hanging out at the place. I thought we had 3 queen size mattresses and found out one was a blow up mattress which my helper used, first night okay, 2nd night it deflated. My wife and daughter are tall so the two bedrooms in the attic where bump your head, mattress was nice but AC booth where right next to your head. I was informed the guest before us pulled out the hand rail going down and I was informed it was going to be fixed Saturday which it was not. Very dangerous and steep not being able to use railings I was worried someone would fall but we made it. We got charged 50;cleaning fee I guess for our towels we left everything as we found it. The lighting switch going upstairs turns all lights on upstairs vs per room. Wild repairs. One toilet downstairs, no bathroom venting. If we had an additional discount for the inconvenience I would be fine. Just disappointed

We had a great one-night stay! We did encounter a small issue with the cold water when we arrived, but the host was incredibly responsive. They replied to our message immediately and sent someone over right away to fix it. We really appreciated the quick communication and top-notch service!

Place was clean and bed was comfy, but only 1 bathroom downstairs and steep, narrow steps going up to bedroom. One light illuminated bedrooms and staircase which is weird so we used table lamp to illuminate stairs. The lights on wall in stairway did not work except for 1. Street parking only, but we were able to get a spot in front of house. House looks like it's still being renovated, but it was clean. I don't recommend for people with physical issues as stairs are steep and narrow. The only bed in living room is a blow up bed which we did not use. Bedrooms are dormer style so you have to watch your head getting in and out of bed. Host did answer questions before I booked house. If you're looking for a house close to GAP trail, you cannot ride bike from here, trailheads are several miles away.

Thank you for your hospitality.However, I should say that the property was not prepared to accept guests. It seems to me that the property is very old and is in poor condition.The air conditioning in the living room did not work while I was there. I tried to contact the owner, however, all the advice given was to check the plugs and turn it off and on again, but it did not help. Only after contacting the owner the second time, I got a reply just on the day when I left, what was rather disappointing.The air conditioners in the bedrooms seemed to need filters replacement. In addition, there was no ventilation in the bathroom and the smell of gas came from the oven while using it.In addition, the backyard was untidy and it had an unpleasant smell of it.I must say that I was disappointed because of the condition of the property and poor communication. Having regard to my personal experience, I would not recommend this property to other people.

Very clean, nicely furnished, just needs some finish work but I wish her great success! She really thought of everything you might need during your stay. Only issues was there was no sleeper sofa as stated, 1 person had sleep on a sofa and walking up steep stairs to bedrooms without a handrail was challenging especially for me, a 70yo. I’d fix that or state in listing.

Communication with host was excellent. The property looks like it's in the middle of some work, which left some unfinished appearances (outlet covers, spackling/paint, things like that). It was left very clean by the clean up crew.Biggest drawback was the temperature. Bedrooms are small which led to the bed being right against a window, and with the air conditioner still installed, the cold air came seeping through the cracks all night long. Also, when we woke up and checked the thermostat, the temp downstairs was 56 degrees. Made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. Having not gotten back to the property until after 1am from the Steelers game, we never thought to check the thermostat before crashing into bed.

The pictures and neighborhood description are not an accurate depiction of the property. I can appreciate remodeling a home in an older maybe less desirable neighborhood and have no issues with renting the property to help with the costs. However that should be included in the description and pictures should reflect it as well. This would allow potential renters from out of town to understand the situation they are getting into and help with expectations.

Thank you for your feedback. I respectfully disagree that the listing was misleading. The photos accurately represent the property, and the location is fully disclosed before booking so guests can determine whether it meets their preferences. While I understand that neighborhood preferences and expectations vary, the property was presented as advertised. I wish you the best in your future travels

Had challenges getting response from the host the night of my stay, plus I believe I heard mice scratching in the walls in the bedroom at night

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry my response time did not meet your expectations that evening. Regarding the reported scratching sounds, I take such concerns seriously. However, I have not found any evidence of mice in the home, and this has not been reported by other guests. The property is regularly maintained and inspected to ensure a comfortable stay. Budget-friendly place to stay if looking to be in Pittsburgh and not pay the Pittsburgh prices. I would have like to have seen railing on the stairs between floors. The stairs are narrow and a few of the lights were out in the stairway which meant we just had to be a little more careful coming down to use the restroom in the middle of the night! It fit our pupose of coming to town for a concert. Thanks!
