Citylife Apartments is a remote worker's dream. It's located in the city with dual redundant internet from the 2 biggest internet providers on the island, so the internet is always up. Good internet can be an issue on the island, because our biggest provider isn't always the most reliable. So that's why we've subscribed to both internet providers on the island so that our guests can be assured of always available and good speed internet. There is also a space with a desk an office chair. Located in a gated apartment complex with free parking inside, this is a very nicely decorated apartment of about 770 square feet (70 square meters) in the center of Otrabanda, which is a part of our Capital Willemstad which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. This recently refurbished apartment has a very refreshing breeze and is your perfect spot to relax after a day exploring the island. Since it's in town it's on walking distance to many places. This is a private apartment in a gated complex. There are cameras outside for an added feel of security. The gate to the apartment complex, and the apartment itself both open with a keypad of which you’ll get your personal code one day prior to arrival. Guest can also use the private free parking inside the gate. The apartment building is in Otrabanda, which is a part of our Capital Willemstad which is on the Unesco World Heritige list. It's just of the main street in an area where there are many middle class family homes. The apartment complex is very close to the newly build Corendon Hotel and the Hospital. Everything around is within walking distance.. We can also help you arrange a car at a very competitive rate at one of our local car-rental companies Like most listings in Curacao within our price category, CityLife Apartments utilizes a prepaid electricity system known locally as "Pagatinu." We want to provide you with some important details regarding this system: 1. How does it work? Pagatinu operates on a prepaid basis, meaning that you will receive a predetermined amount of electricity credit at the start of your stay. This credit is measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh) and will be loaded onto your electricity meter. 2. What's included? For your convenience, our apartment comes with an initial electricity allowance of 8 kWh per booked day. Let's use an example: If you have booked a stay of 5 nights, you will receive 40 kWh of electricity on your meter at the beginning of your stay (5 nights x 8 kWh = 40 kWh). 3. Monitoring your usage: You can easily track your electricity consumption by checking the meter in the apartment. As you use electricity, the kWh balance will decrease accordingly. 4. Air conditioning usage: It's important to note that the air conditioner is the main consumer of electricity. Each hour of air conditioner usage typically amounts to approximately 1 kWh. Considering this, if you plan to use one air conditioner for around 7 to 8 hours per night, the initial allowance should be sufficient for your stay. 5. Additional electricity: Should you require extra electricity due to extended air conditioner usage or the use of multiple air conditioners, you can easily purchase additional kWh at the nearby gas station. The approximate cost is $0.40 per kWh. In the house manual that is provided in the apartment you’ll be able to find instructions on how to purchase extra kWH if necessary.
