I went above and beyond to address Monica’s concerns and make her stay as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, nothing seemed to satisfy her. When Monica reported an issue with the dishwasher, I had it repaired within 24 hours. I have consistently received positive feedback regarding the cleanliness of my condo, so I was surprised to hear her complaint about hair on the floor. Nevertheless, I immediately offered to have the condo cleaned again at no additional cost. Regarding the pool, it was covered because her stay was during the third week of October, and the pool closes for the season in mid-October. What I found most disappointing was that Monica threatened to leave a highly negative review unless I provided a full refund. Despite my efforts to resolve her concerns, including offering a partial refund as a goodwill gesture, she followed through with her threat when I did not agree to a full refund. A word of caution to fellow property owners: While Monica initially came across as pleasant and friendly, my experience hosting her became increasingly difficult. I found her expectations unreasonable and her approach to resolving concerns unnecessarily confrontational. I take great pride in maintaining my property and providing an excellent guest experience, and I always strive to address legitimate concerns promptly and fairly. Unfortunately, in this case, my efforts were not enough. I would encourage other hosts to exercise caution when considering a reservation from this guest.
