Wonderful host, location and lodging. This is an excellent location for seeing everything in the Burren and the counties of Clare and Limerick and just 10 minutes or so from the Cliffs. The house is very quaint and comfortable. We really felt like home there. Finally, I can’t say enough about the wonderful hosts, Phyllis and Kevin. They made us feel so welcome and were always there to help us out with travel ideas. We will miss them and our little home away from home.

Hosts were extremely helpful and freindly the coach house is really lovely and cosy with a wood burner which Kevin kindly had started for us as we arrived late evening and Phyllis leaving lovely scones for us which were very much appreciated .Would happily visit again

Lovely Property

Great home base for a Western Ireland experience. Within walking distance of Ennistymon shops. River views were amazing!

Lovely accomodation in Ennistymon

Lovely renovated cottage, check was easy and the owner of the property Phyllis was very helpful. Cooked a lovely roast in the oven, did washing from our long road trip, clothes horse for drying, great wifi, beds super comfortable!

Outstanding location and property

The property is great. Its in a perfect location for that part of the country. Easy access to everywhere. Phyllis was great. She made the whole experience very pleasant

Our journey on the Wild Atlantic Way

The property was lovely and warm. We had the best access to the Cliff Walk and the Doolin boats to Inis Mor. Highly recommend.

Perfection!

We couldn't have loves this cottage more. It was so ideal for us - the location, the comfort, the accessibility. Most of all, the owners are so lovely - they are welcoming and warm and helpful. We loved our stay and would love to return.

Good location

Property was very clean, well supplied with cooking utensils, coffee, tea to start your day. Close to Cliffs of Mohr, Doolin, The Burrens. Would highly recommend to others.

Nice cottage on the edge of Ennistymon. Well equipped and comfortable. Easy to get to Lahinch, Doolin, Ennis. Easy walk to main street for restaurants. We had very rainy days, so couldn't take advantage of what looked to be a lovely side yard and patio.

Lovely cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cozy, warm and comfortable coach house, which is located a convenient short walk from pubs, shops and cafes. The cottage is close to a main road, but we didn't find this very noisy or disturbing. Phyllis was a welcoming and helpful host the whole way through our stay.

Ennistymon coach house

Well equipped and well sited - ideal base for exploring the Burren and delightful market town of Ennistymon. Great food, bars, music, flora, geology... if you're searching for walks and natural history this is a pretty good start. Our host was friendly, welcoming, very nearby but completely non-intrusive. Would love to visit again.

Comfortable, cosy, nice garden, lots to do

Cosy barn conversion, very comfortable, lovely garden space. Very short walk to town centre (interesting shops, river falls, supermarket), and quick drive to nearby beach town, and cliffs of Moher. Situated just off a busy road; hold on tightly to small children when walking into town.

Great for our family!

What a great stay! Perfect for a family of five. Ennistymon is a wonderful little town, easy walking distance. We love the shops and even the ice cream from the local gas station! We went surfing in Lahinch, and overall had a wonderful stay. The cottage was clean, tidy, all the amenities were available, and Phyllis was really wonderful to communicate with.

Bright and Peaceful Stay

We loved our stay here! The property is very spacious and has lots of natural light. It felt particularly clean and comfortable. Location is perfect for exploring County Clare - a few minutes drive to the beach and 15 minutes to Cliffs of Moher. The host was so kind and gave us some recommendations. Overall highly recommend!!

Fantastic Stay

Three adults and two kids thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage. The rooms were nice and clean, and the kitchen was equipped with essentials. The cottage served as a nice home base while exploring Co. Clare. Phyllis is an outstanding host. She was there to greet us on arrival, and made sure we were well taken care of. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in the cottage again.

Wonderful extended stay!

We stayed for a month, had family visit while there. House is very comfortable and everything we needed to prepare meals was there. Hosts were onsite and very helpful (but not at all intrusive. Location is perfect; walk to Ennistymon, short drive to the beach in Lahinch and easy to get to Cliffs and The Burren. The garden is beautiful. We loved it.

warmth, welcome, and hospitality

Phyllis and her husband were generous and amazing host. They made sure I had what I needed during my stay and were kind to make sure I found my way around town and the neighboring areas. The space was clean, warm, and felt like a home away from home. Their knowledge about Ennistymon and the Irish culture was a gift to my journey. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone look for a place to be welcome and experience Irish hospitality.

Perfect piece of paradise

Have made many trips to beautiful Ireland but by far this was the best. And all because of the lovely cottage and its hosts Phyllis and Kevin. Daily short drives all over West Clare only to return to this spacious and comfortable home. The garden, the town, and everything we needed. Sparkling clean, fresh, beautifully appointed far surpassing our expectations. Even prettier and larger Than expected. Non intrusive but gracious and helpful hosts. Can not say enough about this charming home.

Very nice for the most part

The coach house is adorable and suited our needs. My main concern is that the second floor had a faint odor, maybe from the farm next door. The windows don’t open much, so the upstairs was a bit stuffy. The garden area was lively. It it was in more of a main street than I realized so we could hear traffic, along with the birds. Host was very nice and the location was great for us.

August 2023

We were out most days exploring so didn’t spend a huge amount of time in the house but we all had a good nights sleep- the beds were comfy and the kids were delighted to meet the little black cat - they named her Fiona and the dog who they named Jeffrey.

Comfortable place to stay

We recently stayed at the carriage house for three nights. Very nice place. It was exactly how it was listed. The location was close to town and the restaurants and pubs. We walked there, and drove a little further for a grocery store. The host was very accommodating, and even responded quickly to my questions before we arrived. Since it was walkable distance to town the road was busy at times but sidewalks available. A nice garden area with a patio was available. Enjoy.
