Casa Dos Mares is a spacious retreat-style home designed for connection, relaxation, and inspiration. With nine bedrooms, lush tropical gardens, and a pool, this property offers the perfect setting for group gatherings—whether you’re hosting a yoga or wellness retreat, traveling with extended family, or bringing together a group of friends.

At the heart of the home, a large dining area next to the kitchen provides the perfect space for communal meals and group gatherings. A wide deck offers a more relaxed setting for unwinding with a book, enjoying morning coffee, or soaking in the tranquil jungle atmosphere. This two-level home highlights a terrace-style hallway that connects the bedrooms, creating a sense of community while still offering privacy.

HOSTING A RETREAT

ON THE INSIDE

Casa Dos Mares offers nine bedrooms and six bathrooms, two seating areas, along with a fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining area—perfect for group meals and gatherings. A standout feature of the home is the indoor wellness room, ideal for yoga classes, stretching, workouts, or video analysis sessions, making it perfect for retreats and wellness-focused stays.

The shared bathroom for the bunk bedrooms has three showers and three toilets.

ON THE OUTSIDE

Casa Dos Mares features a spacious deck area surrounding the home, complete with loungers and chairs—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the lush gardens and tropical trees. The outdoor pool provides a refreshing spot to cool off under the sun, and there is also an outdoor shower for convenience. A charming rancho in the pool area offers additional seating and a shaded spot to gather or unwind. Both the first- and second-level bedrooms are connected by terrace- and balcony-style hallways, creating an open, airy feel while maintaining privacy. Two staff half-bathrooms near the laundry area add extra convenience.

LOCATION IS EVERYTHING

Casa Dos Mares is perfectly situated just steps from Playa Pelada, where guests can enjoy quiet beach walks, breathtaking sunsets, and refreshing swims. The NCA walking trails are right outside the property, leading up to Playa Guiones and connecting you to shops, restaurants, and the vibrant surf scene. Food lovers will appreciate being just minutes from La Luna, a renowned local hotspot, as well as other popular Pelada eateries like Pulpo, El Chivo, and Sunrise Coffee. With the home nestled in this growing neighborhood, guests can enjoy the perfect mix of tranquility and convenience.

LOCAL QUIRKS – IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS AREA OF COSTA RICA

While Costa Rica's infrastructure is steadily improving, it's important to note that some things are beyond our control. During your stay, you may experience occasional dust, bugs, and power, water, or internet outages. These are common in the area and part of the experience of immersing yourself in a different country and culture.

If staying connected is essential during your visit, we recommend looking into internet data plans available through your cellular provider. Additionally, please be aware that Playa Guiones, Playa Pelada, and surrounding areas of Nosara are rapidly growing communities, which means construction noise may be present between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. We make every effort to keep our guests informed about ongoing construction that may impact their stay, but unfortunately, we do not always receive advance notice of new projects.

Regarding plumbing, please note that the septic system in Nosara does not allow toilet paper to be flushed (with a few exceptions). We kindly ask that you adhere to this guideline during your stay.

We are committed to providing the best possible experience, but we want to ensure that all guests are aware of these local quirks before booking. Refunds and concessions will not be provided for the above-mentioned issues, as they are beyond the control of the homeowner and property manager. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out before booking.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Kindly note that while we honor our cancellation policy, any processing or payment gateway fees incurred during your reservation are non-refundable in the event of a guest-initiated cancellation, even if your cancellation qualifies for a full or partial refund. This policy does not apply if the host cancels the reservation.

We want to ensure that your stay in Nosara is safe and enjoyable. Like many beach communities, petty theft can occasionally be an issue in the area. Your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities, so we kindly ask that you take the following precautions during your stay:

• Always keep doors and windows locked when you're away from the property and at night. If your sliding doors or windows have security bars, please ensure they are in place. If you cannot find the bars, contact us as soon as possible.
• Never leave valuables or personal items unattended when you leave the house, including electronics, identification, and anything else of apparent value.
• Do not leave valuables in your car while you’re out, and avoid leaving anything on your front or back patios unattended.
• If your property has a security alarm, always set it when you leave, even for short periods of time.

While a security guard is not included with your rental, we can arrange for one upon request. If you'd like to hire a security guard for part or all of your stay, please let us know during the booking process and specify the hours you'd like covered.

Please be aware that, even with these precautions in place, theft can still occur in Nosara. Rent Nosara, the homeowner, and the property manager are not responsible for any loss of items due to theft.
