Great location

Great location in the Jordaan area with most places within walking distance. Room was very compact but perfectly fine for a few days stay. Very close to centraal train station and surrounded by beautiful coffee shops and quirky pubs. Host was really helpful and answered questions quickly. Would definately stay here again if we returned to Amsterdam helpful and answrred questions

Great location

In the heart of Amsterdam, perfect walking distance to everything we wanted to do, including the train station, making the airport perfectly accessible. Frances was excellent at communicating and our stay was exactly what we needed.

A lovely winter stay

We arrived unexpectedly early on a rainy day, but our host kindly adjusted to meet us and guide us personally through the check-in processes. She had communicated with us several days before we left to ensure our arrival ran smoothly. We had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The accommodation was as advertised with an advantageous location in central Amsterdam, not far from Anne Frank House, lively shopping, markets and restaurants. Thank you, Frances and Stacey too for your attentiveness and for helping to make our stay memorable.

Perfect base for a mini break

This cosy little studio flat is perfect for a city break - it’s located in a fabulous part of town in a beautiful quiet street, a short walk from everything. Frances is a lovely host, and the room is clean and has a super comfortable bed. We didn’t use the bikes as was a bit rainy for cycling so we juat walked everywhere. Rosa’s, the local bar, is cosy with great wines, and no stay would be complete without the sublime applecake at Winkel, just moments away. This place is great value for money. Recommended.

Cozy with everything you need

Nice quiet location, with lots to see around and within walking distance from the center, shops, food options and supermarkets. The room is cozy, very clean, and has literally everything you need. Thank you for welcoming us so kindly Frances! I will miss it very much

Cozy Nest in the Jordaan

To the average American this is as small as described. If you can get over that, it is fantastic! It’s a reasonably priced place in the very best neighborhood in Amsterdam. It’s walkable to the station and Dam square. The bed is king sized and very comfortable. And the hostess is the friendliest and most helpful you could ask for. Highly recommend!

Musty and Damp

We were excited to stay in this property in the heart of the Jordaan while in Amsterdam, but our disappointment began the minute we actually went inside. We expected a small space, but not this small, and not one that smelled very musty. The space is a bedroom that is barely larger than the bed, with a tub and sink attached. This is not the "luxury bathroom" noted in the listing. Outside the door, which has no exterior lock, is the toilet and sink that is shared with the owner, an important factor not noted in the listing when we made our reservation. The owner acknowledged the dampness, and the space is equipped with a dehumidifier, and has a transom window that opens to the outdoors. While we ran the dehumidifier and the shower fan when we were away, we always returned to the dampness. On two occasions we found Silverfish scurrying across the floor. There is a nicknack rack in a picture frame hanging in the bedroom that is covered with dust, possibly mold, and grime. The back of the sliding door between the bath and bedroom was also partly covered with a black substance, and there was what looked like mold on the ceiling above the bathtub that was either dirty or stained. There were numerous cobwebs in the rooms as well. The property details state there is a dining area; there are two chairs next to the bed, no table, no dining area.

Nice little place, close to everything.

Very happy with this room, it was small but adequate and we knew what we were getting ahead of time. It was very clean. The host was wonderful, and met us immediately on arrival.

Bed and Bikes in Jordan

This was a perfect location for our 3 night stay in Amsterdam, we could walk everywhere. I was worried about the toilet being in the hall but it was not a problem. Frances was attentive and kind. I highly recommend if you need a clean room in a great location.
