Cozy Carriage House on Lake Ossipee. Private beach with boat docks



This is by far one of the best kept secrets of Ossipee Lake. This cute cozy carriage house is located on the shores of Lake Ossipee in a very private community. The carriage house is updated with a new great room on the lower level and a big beautiful lake view deck. Enjoy this very private lake side property with 20 feet of private beach and pure serenity with a view of the beautiful white mountains. The carriage house has 2 adjoining bedrooms and 1 small full bath with an open kitchen living space, washer dryer, wifi, board games, foosball table and flat screen tv’s for those rainy days. There is a queen size bed and a pull out twin bed in the first bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom (we do not provide bedding guests must bring your own sheets and towels (bath and beach) ). You will want to spend all of your days on the lake in the canoe, kayaks, or simply sitting lakeside with the serenity of the surroundings. Bring your boat and dock it on the property for your convenience. This place is cozy and spacious enough for your family to enjoy for a long weekend or a week long summer vacation. We are conveniently located very close to hiking, golfing, bike riding, restaurants and shopping ( North Conway is about 30 minutes north). All EV’s welcome charging capability on site.

We had a great week at the Cozy Carriage House. This was our 4th time staying here and we always enjoy ourselves. We love the amenities like the 2 kayaks and use of canoe. On a rainy day the downstairs is a great place to hang out with plenty of space. The quick, clear communication with Leigh is great. The place is always clean and the deck is such a nice addition to enjoy a cup of coffee with the lake view. We are already planning our next stay. Curtis family

Great location and good space to gather outside or inside. Good host with a good open line of Communication. The only drawback is the shower is a little tight if you are more than average height. We would come back to this place again, for sure.

This was our first time to this area of NH, and it was absolutely beautiful! We did a day trip to Maine and several hikes nearby, but we mostly spent our days enjoying the beautiful lake and the provided kayaks, beach chairs, firepit, and paddleboards. Our favorite kayak route took us to the left of the property and around the first "corner" of the lake--simply breathtaking views of the mountains!This house has a great location. There is a house directly across from this one (between this house and the lake), but it's just a quick walk across the gravel road and between two houses to get to the private and quiet beach area. The house comes stocked with most anything you could think of. The grill is very nice! The host was kind and very thorough and helpful in her communications, and she provided several recommendations. The house was mostly very clean--the floor definitely could have used a vacuuming before we arrived, and there were a few dishes we pulled out of cupboards that weren't clean, but unfortunately, that is somewhat to be expected with different people renting each week. It wasn't anything that would prevent us from staying here again. Overall, this is just a great place to enjoy the scenery, the quiet, and the chance to get away from the hectic pace of day-to-day life!

Our stay was fantastic! The Carriage House was definitely an extremely immaculate and enjoyable facility. The area where it is located is very quiet and enjoyable. The access to the lake is great. I would HIGHLY recommend this property!

Beautiful home, and a great neighborhood. The neighbors were also great. And it was very quiet, compared to other homes we've rented on the water. We enjoyed that!

Great weekend getaway

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at this property greatly. The lake access is nice and the unit itself is very cozy. No complaints, we had a great weekend.

Perfect location and space for us!

This is our second time staying here and we love it! Perfect amount of space for our family of 4. We love that it’s walking distance right over to the lake. The property manager is very nice and if there’s ever an issue she responds right away.

Another great stay

We had another great stay at this property. Leigh is very accommodating and responsive throughout the stay. We loved the addition of the deck this year. It’s great having your own space on the beach and the community is very peaceful. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

Great location

We enjoyed our weekend stay in this wonderful lake-view home. The house is well-equipped and comfortable. Communication was excellent and very prompt. We enjoyed using the kayaks and sitting by the lake and fire pit in the evenings.! Great place to relax and enjoy a memorable lake-side vacation.

2nd Labor Day Stay

Came back for another stay with my family for Labor Day Weekend. Loved it even more than last year with the new deck! The dock spot is the best perk for us.

Fantastic stay at the carriage house

We loved our few days at the carriage house! Communicating with the owner was super-easy, and she made us feel very welcome. Our weekend there was cool and rainy, but we still had a great time. The property was beautiful -- we loved the cozy living room upstairs and the foosball table downstairs. We were also very happy to find a well-stocked kitchen. We'd love to come back in the summer to get the full lake experience!

Great family getaway with our boat!

This was a last minute find for Labor Day weekend and we absolutely loved it! The location, beach, and ability to dock our boat was perfect. Our girls (3 & 1) had a blast playing on the beach and running back and forth from the house. It was perfect size for us 4. Curious if the owners will furnish the downstairs more so we can hang out down there more. We've already booked another stay!

Clean, cozy, and the lake was beyond beautiful!

This carriage house was perfect for our summer vacation! It would be very comfortable for a family so the kids can have their own room. It has everything you need and was very clean. The lake was absolutely breathtaking...beautiful mountain views, pure sand beach, clean water, perfect for paddling around and sitting by the fire pit at night! We took a day trip to Portland Maine and another to drive up mt. Washington both about 1.5 hours away!! Would highly recommend this spot!

Cozy Carriage House

Our stay was everything we wanted and more! Clean, well stocked, and always got back to you if you had a question! We had a great boat dock and they supplied a wagon to get our bags and cooler to boat! They just put on a beautiful double decker deck on the side of the carriage house! Love it and hopefully we get back again! Plus they finished the whole bottom into one large game/tv room!

Solid home base on Lake Ossipee

The local motel was charging $500/night because of Columbus Day weekend. I’m glad I found this spot which put us close to relatives in Tamworth. Shower was awkwardly small because of the sloped roof. A windstorm knocked out the power and water for 12 hours of our stay. Aside from that everything about the place was good. Nice view of the lake from the house.

Great little lakeside getaway!

The Cozy Carriage House on Lake Ossipee is a great house in the lovely neighborhood of Weetamoe Shores. It has been nicely restored and upgraded with a beautiful Non-slip vinyl Deck. It has a cozy upstairs with 2 bedrooms, large living room and full sized kitchen, which is very good for this community of small houses. There is an expansive playroom downstairs that you can walk out from. We had a great week of fresh air, lake fun, and listening to the loons at sunset and sunrise. Very happy all around. -Keith

It has been over 30 years of traveling up to Lake Ossipee. From when we were kids taking our annual trip to Camp Calumet to spend 2 weeks of our summer among pure beauty and serenity. Of course we didn't realize it at the time but over the years we realized that it was the beautiful surrounding and being in nature that continued to draw us to Lake Ossipee. We finally decided to purchase our own little piece of the Lake. We hope you will enjoy this charming lakeside carriage house as much as we do.
