Nestled at the base of Mount Blackheath, the 100 acre property is surrounded by magnificent Blue Mountains escarpments, peaceful forest and open grassland.
Kangaroos, echidnas, goannas, wombats and myriads of birds at your doorsteps, and a frog chorus at dusk, this is truly a nature lover paradise and birdwatcher heaven.
THE STUDIO
Designed and built by Australian Potter John Robertson using natural materials and recycled timber, combining rustic simplicity and comfort, the studio is completely off the grid and solar powered.
On the ground floor you will find a light-filled open plan kitchen and dining area with a cosy wood fireplace, a spacious living room with a second fireplace, a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet.
Upstairs, two comfortable bedrooms provide a peaceful retreat.
Step out onto the large veranda where a dining table and BBQ invite you to relax and soak up the views.
A fire pit is located at the front of the studio for evenings under the stars. Down by the dam, guests can unwind in bean bags or rocking chairs surrounded by magnificent escarpments.
Eco friendly materials are used wherever possible: organic (OEKO-Tex® certified) linen bedding; Australian made wool quilts, mohair throws and duck down pillows; quality cotton towels and hand knotted woollen Persian rugs are all provided for your comfort.
PLEAS NOTE
This is TV free retreat. 4G/5G mobile receptions are available, however we encourage our guests to switch off their mobile devices and instead take a walk around the astonishingly beautiful Kanimbla Valley. Bring your bicycles and go for a ride, try yoga during pink sunsets, meditate under ancient gum trees, go for a horse ride, roll in blue clay at the dam. Or just lay back on the verandah with that book that you always wanted to read but never had time, and submerge into the songs of Australian birds with butterflies gliding by.
There is so much to see and experience, just let your inner child come alive to play and enjoy nature’s simple offerings.
