Cozy up in this luxuriously renovated 3rd Floor loft, 1 of 3 individual floors in the heart of Carlinville right on the town square formerly “Karla’s Jewelry” Bldg. Built in 1857 this Historic floor to ceiling windows capture beautiful sunset views overlooking the town.
13 ft. ceilings in this 1000 square ft. studio loft with a king bed, and fully equipped kitchen are yours to enjoy. Pamper yourself in the elegant bathroom with stunningly chandelier and large walk in glass shower, stocked with essentials. The serene atmosphere of the loft provides a peaceful retreat after exploring all that Carlinville has to offer. Beaver Dam State Park, 15 minutes, Amtrak Station, 12 minute walk. Note this is a 3rd floor walk up with no elevator access so please plan accordingly. 1 night stay is $250.00 per night, covers higher operational costs for short stays, increased cleaning, turnover labor.

The place was immaculate. Beautifully refinished loft. Jennifer was also very accommodating and responsive with our check in process,getting us to an event on time!

Great place to stay. We ate dinner at “the old fashion” restaurant next door, and in the morning had coffee at the little shop just a few doors down. We stayed on the 3rd floor so if you don’t like stairs that might be an issue but it was no problem for us. Very classy and clean. We would stay again for sure!

We had a great stay in Carlinville. The loft is conveniet to everything. We enjoyed shopping on the square and dining at several local eateries. We will definitely stay here again. Our host was very communicative and helpful throughout our pre-check in and during our stay.

Oh my word this place is incredible. Bed was comfortable great location and the original aspects of the old building brought up to date with modern convenience. I think Jennifer and I will be getting more acquainted because I have a hard time finding a decent place to stay when I come to my hometown to visit. Carlinville is good little town close to my hometown and made attending my best friends wedding in Gillespie a breeze. We will be back.

Pretty sure the only words I have to describe this loft is wow, as that is exactly what we said when we arrived. The location couldn’t be any better as it's right in the heart of the town square. The furnishings, bedding, and finishes were all incredible! The bathroom is huge, shower is great, and it's just an amazing place to stay. I would have given this more stars if I could, highly recommend staying here! This is a really neat loft in an excellent location. All communications were great as well. Can't wait to return and stay there again!

Space has been seen before and is lovely.... Unfortunately our stay didn't work out because of an adjacent building structure compromise, but host was quick to help us get a refund from VRBO and quick to respond. I would recommend this host and property

We typically stay in Litchfield hotels when visiting Carlinville for Blackburn College's homecoming, but wanted something closer. Having stayed in Vrbo properties on vacations, we looked for one in C-ville and were so happy we did!! The 3rd-floor, spacious loft above a storefront was exquisite! The owners have made the most of the historic arched windows that overlook the downtown square, wood floors and high ceilings, with both the furniture placement and lighting. The furniture and decor was beautiful and comfortable! The king-size bed was heaven to sleep on. Although we didn't need the kitchen for our one-night stay, it was well-stocked and accommodating and included a separate coffee bar! The large bathroom with a roomy walk-in shower and great shower head was perfect, and the chandelier - WOW! Nice touch!Communication with the host via e-mail or signs/info at the loft was excellent and appreciated. The entire place was spotless!The only drawback for some may be the staircase to the 3rd-floor with luggage, but we had no trouble (in our 60s), and there is lighting and railings.We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it for visits to Blackburn, Carlinville events, weddings, reunions, etc. Enjoy!Bonus for us - we picked out my engagement ring at the jewelry store that was formerly on the 1st floor about 43 years ago!
