OUTSTANDING MOUNTAIN RETREAT IN EXCLUSIVE LAKE COMMUNITY IN JIM THORPE

Enjoy this outstanding mountain retreat on a private, wooded acre in an exclusive lake community in Jim Thorpe, PA., with access to nearby hiking, rafting, skiing.

3 bedrooms, including a first-floor master suite with a king bed, 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 bedroom with twin beds, and loft bedroom with a trundle bed. 2 1/2 baths total.

This home is perfect for couples, families, or friend groups up to 8 guests.

WE HAVE A 2 NIGHT MINIMUM SEPTEMBER through MAY and 2 NIGHT MINIMUM JUNE through AUGUST.

Mountain life comes alive at the Mountain Laurel Chalet, with wide-plank floors, wood finishes, and charming rustic decor. Enjoy the crackling of the stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings and lots of big, beautiful windows for a sun-soaked escape.

The home features a first-floor King Primary Suite with TV and walk-in shower, a queen bedroom with TV, a bedroom with two twin beds, and an open loft with a trundle bed that sleeps 2, served by a full bath. There is also a half-bath on the main floor.

Mountain Laurel Chalet is just a short walk (about 1 mile) to a private beach, spring-fed lake, and playground, and just 12 miles to historic Jim Thorpe. Nearby is whitewater rafting, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, ATV'ing, shopping, dining, and restaurants of all flavors. Fun winter activities are just 10 miles away at Big Boulder and Jack Frost. You're surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Poconos.

Enjoy outdoor barbecuing, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.

There are many wonderful pubs and restaurants, shows and events, and the world-famous historic Jim Thorpe. The event and concert venue, Penn's Peak, features live music, bands and entertainers that go back decades, and outdoor patio music and dining.

We're thrilled to be able to share our wonderful mountain chalet retreat with anyone who loves the Poconos.

Before exiting please hang all used bath towels on the hooks in the bathrooms. Strip linens from all used beds. Bag all trash and place the bags near the bins in the kitchen.

Upon exiting turn thermostat down to 65 degrees in the winter. Turn thermostat on fireplace down to 58 degrees. During summer months turn the thermostat up to 78 degrees.

We loved this fantasticly clean and well appointed cabin. Everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Close to Jim Thorpe and Hickory Run State Park. Enjoyed the deck with fire pit and ample comfortable seating very much.Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay here! The house was beautiful and clean. We agreed it was the cleanest place we’ve stayed in a while. Everyone was comfortable. Such a cute and cozy place. The amount of towels provided were a great touch. The purpose of our stay was for whitewater rafting so the location was perfect. Would absolutely stay here in the future if we were ever in the area again. Thank you!

What great home. Perfect getaway for a celebration. The house was spotless and beautifully appointed. Since we were there over New Year’s we did a lot of cooking. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. The appliances were all new. We contacted our host several times prior to our arrival. She was extremely responsive. I highly recommend this property and would rent it again without question.

This was hands down the best VRBO property we’ve ever rented! Super clean, updated and just beautiful! The owners obviously take great pride in this home. The little touches- coffee pods, condiments, foil, saran wrap, sandwich bags, etc.- really helped to make things convenient. We’ll definitely be staying here again!

We had a wonderful stay at this house near Jim Thorpe! The home was spotless and had everything we needed. It’s beautifully designed, compact, extremely well-organized, and thoughtfully laid out.The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, with lots of nature and a peaceful atmosphere, yet still very close to Jim Thorpe and all its attractions. All the essentials were provided, which made our stay comfortable and easy. Thank you for making our getaway weekend so peaceful, easy, and truly enjoyable.We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back. Highly recommend this place!
