Boutique Stays were attentive but alarmingly dangerous in their requests to ask guests to email identity documents and expose their customers to scams and fraud risks.

- The place was not clean. There were food crumbs left on the couch and the carpet had what looked like dust balls. We realised on our second day that they were actually animal fur which had not been thoroughly vacuumed. We spent the next few days sneezing from the dust and animal fur which lead us to leave earlier than the actual check out date.- The bins outside had not been put out the week before and all the bins were full of random rubbish not correctly sorted to the appropriate bins. Therefore, we ended up having to find space in any bin which was already limited in space.- We rang the mobile phone number provided to us in our check in information regarding the Fire place that was advertised on the website because it wasn't working. We never got an phonecall back to help troubleshoot the issue.- Light connection upstairs was bad. The second bedroom light couldn't be turned on without the bathroom light turning on so we either had to choose to go with both lights on or both lights off.- If wanting to stay in this place, read all the fine print carefully and reach out to the host to clarify what the payment requirements are. - if you have issues with the place while staying, don't expect the host to assist. Troubleshoot it yourself as there is no help coming.- Consider other places before booking here or book at your own risk.

We apologise the property was not as clean as you wished. We had a very short turn around between guests on that day. We would have happily arranged any further cleaning if required. It is tricky when the next bin run is a few days after a new guest arrives and the bin is full from the previous guest. Normally it is emptied on the next weekly cycle ( a day or two away) We apologise that your call was not followed up sooner as we are on call throughout the week and weekends. Short but fantastic stay in Melbourne

We loved Richmond and the house. The whole process was extremely easy and everything was perfect for our time in Melbourne. We had a car so having a parking space was vital and the house was super clean and comfortable.
