Great place to stay with a family for easy access to port Douglas and the Daintree. The house has everything you need for a stay with kids. Having a heated pool of a decent size was perfect.

This was absolutely perfect accommodation for our North Queensland holiday with our family visiting from the UK. It has everything you could possibly need and is just beautiful. We swam in the pool every day after being out seeing amazing sights, which were all easy to drive to from this location. Thanks for providing us with the perfect accommodation to create such lovely family holiday memories.

Holiday

The property was fabulous, very clean, well equipped and everyone loved the pool. It was close to Port Douglas in a lovely quiet estate. We would definitely look to stay again.

BEST IN PORT DOUGLAS FOR FAMILIES!

The property was an amazing place to stay and such a beautiful property. We didn't want to leave! It has everything you can possible need and is very family friendly with Toys, board games and the pool was an absolute hit with my kids. I would absolutely recommend to anyone. Superb property

Amazing property with top notch facilities, quiet area just a few minutes drive from 4 mile beach. Heated pool and great patio to relax and enjoy the scenery. Very helpful host Chad who was only a text away to offer suggestions or assist when needed. Many thanks and we'll be back!

We were blown away with the cleanliness of this property! All linen crisp and beds comfy! The pool was a highlight for all guests and the little garden is perfect to catch the sunshine! The bathrooms felt luxurious and the kitchen was a dream to cook in!

Modern family home with great amenities

Modern home in a great location. Property was clean and nicely made up. Most importantly the pool heater was on when we checked in and the kids were able to use it straight away. Great pool with nice views. Short drive to Port Douglas shops and cafes which was very handy. Lots of board games and books to enjoy a family night in.

Family friendly home

Tennealle’s home is wonderful for a family holiday, everything is designed perfectly so everyone has there own space The pool is fantastic, a great backyard with play equipment, so many toys and kids bike to entertain the little ones while you relax, great quite neighbor hood and park with play equipment just a few doors up the road all only a few minutes from the heart of port Douglas

Perfect stay for families

Property was pretty much as advertised. Clean and spacious. Perfect for families with children. Pool was a hit with kids and adults (heated in case of colder days, ledge for the kids to play on, and long so adults could do laps). House was full of toys to keep our toddler entertained. Not much around in the neighbourhood, but Port Douglas is only a short drive away. Not that you need to get out of the house to have a splendid holiday anyway. Host was very accomodating and easy to reach out to!

Review

Pool pumps at side of house very noisy & seemed to be going nearly all the time. External blind on undercover area not working. Mice in house & mouse smell in cupboards. Other than that, it is very nice house & pool with great location.

I am glad that overall you enjoyed the house and pool, and I apologise that elements of your stay was not up to the high standards we set for ourselves, as reflected in the consistent five star reviews we have. During your recent stay with us we did not receive any notice from you of any concern around noise or a mouse at the property. We always encourage our guests to communicate questions or concerns during their stay so that we can have the opportunity to immediately address and ensure an exceptional stay. In relation to the two points of feedback you provided, the noise that you referred to is actually the pool heat pump, it needs to run to maintain the pool at the warm temperature, as it can get a little chilly for the kids in winter. Had you communicated this to be a concern for you, we could have turned off the pool heating. In relation to your feedback on a mouse at the property, this is deeply concerning for me. To bring you some comfort, our property is professionally cleaned before and after each guest, the cleaner attended the property and thoroughly cleaned all cupboards and drawers, but found no evidence of a mouse. Being located in tropical far North Queensland near rainforest and sugar cane areas, local wildlife can be part of the environment, so we conduct a quarterly preventative pest treatment - based on your feedback we have scheduled an additional pest treatment this week as a precaution. Again I apologise that elements of your stay were not up to the high standards we set for ourselves, and I hope we have the chance to host you and your family again to deliver an exceptional experience.

Awesome place to stay

Well equipped and appointed, comfortable, spacious and modern property. Large lap pool for relaxation or fitness. Quiet location with easy commute into Port Douglas via local shuttle service. Could not have asked for a better property for our group stay. Will definitely stay here again if I come back to Port Douglas!

What a great experience. We had everything we needed for our stay. Short distance to Pt. Douglas.

Beautiful home, plenty of room for us. Would be great for families. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The pool was fabulous, was used many times, even when a little cool. A big thank you to the owner.

Modern, Spacious and Private with a great lap pool.

Set in a quiet new estate less than 10 minutes drive from Port Douglas CBD, this modern house with high ceilings, ceiling fans, aircon, internet & wifi, has all you will need. The 20 meter lap pool is a real asset. Our group of four are all over 60 YO, but the house looks perfect for a young family as well. The shuttle from Cairns delivers you to the front door, but a hire car is best to access the nearby resorts, golf courses, restaurants and of course the hinterland. And make sure you book brunch at St Crispin's Cafe.

Fantastic place to stay

My family and i thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The house had plenty of space for everyone and the kids were always entertained. Location is only a short drive away from port Douglas but would recommend hiring a car to make the trip in and out of PD easier. Highly recommend

Craiglie getaway

A beautiful property with a great pool. The host and hostess were very responsive and helpful. Although a bit far from the beach, the inexpensive shuttle from the door of the house to port meant that the beach and shops were never too far away.

Fabulous house with amazing heated pool and close to everything

Highly recommend this property to experience Port Douglas and surrounding areas. We stayed with our three children who thoroughly enjoyed the house and heated pool. The house has everything you need. The owners were great with communicating with us.

Awesome week in an awesome house!

Rarely do pictures live up to reality - it’s the case with food ads, car ads and properties, but this house we rented for 7 nights in Craiglie FNQ was absolutely sensational and was even better in reality than the pictures (which were great too). We wanted for nothing throughout our stay, the house beautifully presented with an abundance of linen, towels, quality furnishings and masses of space. The pool was utilised daily and we had no issues with any of the other features or amenities, having used all cooking appliances including the barbecue. Everyone found their beds and pillows comfortable and the bathrooms were large and well appointed. Great pressure in the showers too! The only issue we had and of a minor nature was due to a little power interruption during the night which caused some angst, but in no way a refelextion on the owners of the house. It’s located a very short drive from the main Port Douglas township and Marina and just far enough away to be a quiet place to stay. If we had a similar sized group heading up this way again, I would not hesitate to book this same property. It was simply outstanding! Thank you for your assistance and with affording is the opportunity to stay here. Fantastic!

House was great, very modern and clean. Perfect setup for families with huge gated pool, fully fenced yard, play equipment and lots of toys and games for the little ones. House was very well designed and appointed, short drive to Port Douglas makes it a great location to base your stay.
