The apartment is in an excellent location and the check in was efficient with the owner. Unfortunately, the hot water does not work in one bathroom shower and can alternate between hot and cold in the other. The apartment was quite dusty and dirty. As per other reviews, the towels are a bit musty. The couch is pretty uncomfortable but the dining room and beds are fine. Overall, the apartment could be good, with some updates and fixing the items that need attention.

The pictures make this place look much better than it is. The carpet is disgusting and coming up in several areas. The shower in the en-suite bathroom barely trickled water and never got warm. We were given 4 shower towels but had to use a couple of them as hand towels since there were none and we couldn’t receive any more towels. The en-suite bathroom also only had about a quarter of a roll of toilet paper and less than an ounce of shower gel (assuming bc the host knows the shower doesn’t work properly. We would never stay here again and would not recommend. It was by far our worst vacation rental to date.

This property had a great location, but nothing else about it was good.The only hot water that was available was in the second bathroom because it had a secondary heater source.The towels smelled like mildew. We requested new towels from the owner and they smelled like mildew.The bathroom shower, in what was considered the master bedroom, was so small I couldn’t shower in it. I’m 5’4” and 119 lbs. The kitchen was a nice size, but the glassware as well as the dish set was horribly lackingArguably there was not two glasses that matched each other. That was an issue problem for us because we ate out most of the time but if you plan on eating and good luck.This apartment should not be on VRBO without some serious changes

We had a good overall stay. The location was excellent and made it easy to get around, and the apartment itself was clean and in a quiet area, which made it easy to relax. The check-in process was very smooth, and the host was very responsive and timely with communication, which we really appreciated. There were a couple of downsides; the photos make the apartment look newer than it actually is, in person it felt a bit more outdated than expected. Additionally, the hot water in the en suite bathroom wasn't working, so the four of us had to share the other shower during our stay, which was a bit inconvenient but we made it work.

The location is excellent. Easy access to resturants, shopping, sights. The property has comfortable bedrooms and the kitchen was well equipped. The big downside was the only hot water was in one shower. No hot water in kitchen or either bathroom sinks or one of the other showers. When I brought the problem to the attention of the host, nothing. I had read a review about the hot water from a previous guest, but I made the error thinking it would be corrected. Not. If you plan to go to Dublin and stay here, check to be sure there is hot water.

The location of the apartment is excellent and the property manager did well illustrating how to obtain the key from the lock box and enter the apartment. The elevator did not seem to be working during our stay which was not a significant impact to our stay but might be for others with mobility challenges.The listing looks much better online than in person, and was not cleaned to the extent you expect considering the cleaning fees charged to guests. The beds and linens were clean and comfortable but the accommodation lacked additional toilet paper which I had to purchase from the local store.Overall the stay is a good value property.

We never received check-in instructions. We ended up being locked out of our VRBO for an hour and a half waiting for someone to show up with keys. Once we got inside, the apartment reeked of weed. The carpet is dirty and ripped. The apartment was nicely clean and the sheets and blankets, freshly laundered, but the smell of weed was overpowering. Even worse, we could not get the hot water to work at all so we were unable to take showers or even wash our hands. In addition, we missed out on one of our tours because we were so late getting into our VRBO. Do not stay here and waste your money. It is the worst experience we have had so far on VRBO.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and I give this property 3 stars because of the wonderful location. However, a number of improvements needs to be made to make this place truly “delightful”.1. Hot water availability: this is everyone’s most important feedback for the owner and other guests staying here. Yes, I understand this is Europe and expenses are high but controlling the hot water to this extent is not good for renters. No instructions are left for renters as to how to turn on the hot water and we had to wait 24 hours before the owner got back to us through email/messages. My feedback to the owner would be to charge more to offset the expenses- the location is optimal so prices could reasonably go higher. Having renters disgruntled because of lack of hot water will get you into “hot water”, pun intended.2. Beds and pillows: these were reasonably comfortable but both could do with serious upgrades to provide softer sleeping experience. 3. Kitchen: instructions for use of microwave, laundry and oven should be left inside of the apartment for renters from North America, since our appliances are very different. Every effort should be made to help renters enjoy these aspects of the apartment as this is why we rent apartments as opposed to staying at hotels- so we can use these things! Once we got used to how things run in this apartment it was a fairly nice stay. However, without the improvements mentioned above I would not recommend this place to others.

Top shower water was too hot; couldn't control, had to shower with the handheld controlled by the bottom bath faucet3 people staying, only 2 bath towels & 1 hand towel provided. Found more in a bin in the closet & washed before usingLocated across from Church w/ lights on at night; shone brightly in bedrooms (w/ shade) & family room (no shade) so we covered windows w/ sheetsListing said "double futon" in family room; it was a loveseat with chaise on 1 side. We planned to use it as a bed but could not. There was an air mattress but did not use.A handful of lights did not workFrom US, might have different expectations - I asked for check-in info 2 days before trip, host said I would not get until day of booking once apt. was ready.It was ready early; nice that he allowed early check-in. The lockbox to get keys is old, rusted, we couldn't open. Luckily, a neighbor helped.Were unable to open lockbox at check-out; after trying for 20 min left keys in apt & notified host.Items to mention:Has hand soap, shampoo & conditioner, dish & laundry machine, detergent & dish soapDoes NOT have a TV, paper towels, napkins, kitchen or bath hand towels, A/C, fans (got stuffy)Looked more modern in photosInquired about reviews re moldy vents; they had been cleaned

It was tricky to find and didn’t have any extra paper products, no napkins or paper towels and ran out of toilet paper. Kitchen had minimal supplies and the refrigerator was not cleaned. Place was very cold and had to wait to hear back from the host for a couple of hours to know about heat options. All were plug in space units plus a gas fireplace. No extra blankets. Heaters did warm up the place nicely. Could use some updating. Walking distance to great spots in Dublin!

Nice apartment with most everything you might need to have a great stay. A little bit worn , the lights in the hall and lift didn't work so walk up stairs to first floor, not a big deal for us. Bathrooms clean well stocked with power hot showers . We had a small family gathering with 6 2 grandkids and it was ideal with plenty of room and facilities to easily accommodate us all. Very quiet and secure and fabulous location just off Stephen green and loads of shops, restaurants and pubs on the doorstep. The landlord was very accommodating and generous letting us check out a little late , would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Unfortunately the host did not communicate as quickly as one would like. We arrived with no wifi available and did not receive the instructions for the keys snd directions until we were literally at the property. Even then, without wifi we had no idea and were about to check into a hotel located across the street. They allowed us to use the hotel wifi and only after an hour did we finally receive the instructions on entering the property. The space is fine but dated. Sadly there was no hot water available. The boiler was in the unit but not turned on. It was too late and we were exhausted but cannot recommend this property. The hotel was actually very nice and cheaper.

Pro: Very well locatedCons: 1. No hot water, except in one shower, throughout our stay despite contacting the owner immediately and sending multiple follow up messages. Owner was hard to reach and when messages were answered we were told that they were busy at work which is why responses were delayed. Owner blamed us for not replying quickly enough to one message to leave the key (our response was a few hours after the message as we were enjoying our time in Dublin). We left the key that evening and the entire next day without a response. 2. No kitchen towels or paper towels in the kitchen3. Toilet paper in one bathroom ran out and second bathroom almost ran out4. No dishwasher detergent despite expectation to set the dishwasher upon departure

The heat was out and we weren’t notified until we were already in the place and only because I asked how to turn the heater up. There was only hot water on the day we arrived, although the owner came and checked the boiler and said it was working. No hot water so unable to shower for two nights. No window covering in the living room. The third bed was described as a futon/couch. It was barely sleep able. Not enough extra blankets with the heat being out. It was walking distance to a bunch of stuff so we could leave the car behind the iron gates the whole time, and we’re were able to make the most out of our trip.

Communication from Host was extremeky poor. I had to reach out multiple times to get details on arrival and parking. There was no toilet tissue in either bathroom (we had find a convenience store nearby to purchase our own. There was no hot water at all in the bathrooms nor kitchen and room heat is provided via 2 electric floor space heaters that you had to run all the time to keep the place warm. A true fire hazard! We could not sleep with that situation. The bathroom wash cloth smelled like it had been used for other purposes previously. This was the worst VRBO experience ever. I have yet to hear back from the host on any of the above issues. Very dissatisfied customer and will not use VRBO ever again if this is the caliber of host accepted in your booking system.

There was no hot water when we arrived. I reached out to the host and they provided instructions. We did end up with hot water in the bathrooms (with multiple resets). The kitchen (and therefore laundry) never did have hot water.The washer/dryer unit kept giving "maintenance" warnings, but seemed to work - with only cold water.There were no towels to be found in the kitchen (cloth or paper).There was no toilet paper in either bathroom. We eventually did find 2 rolls - tucked away in the second bedroom closet...The lift does not work - and apparently has not done so for a while. Our 92-year-old in the party found this disappointing.The flat was advertised as having a "couch / futon" in the living room. This is NOT the case. The "couch" is more of a loveseat, and there is no "futon" aspect to it at all. The person sleeping there did not get much rest for either of our two nights.There are no blinds in the living room over the loveseat - so it gets light early, and there is no privacy from the surrounding buildings.The light over the sink in the en-suite bathroom does not turn off. The only way to turn it off is to physically unplug the hot bulb.Cleanliness-wise, there was a SIGNIFICANT amount of mold growing on the vents in both bathrooms. Ick... And most of the lights were burnt out in the common bathroom.On the UPSIDE - the secured parking was very nice, and the place was very quiet and conveniently located. Fix the rest, and it would be great!

IMPORTANT: Know that I hardly ever write a bad review. Upon arrival we were notified that we could not check-in because the apartment had not been cleaned. 5 HOURS after check-in time we finally got the key code. We only then were told that there was a space to park behind a locked gate. So, instead of letting us secure our luggage upon arrival, we had to wing it in Dublin for 5 hours. Trying to get hot water was a nightmare, and trying to communicate with the host was even worse. No TV, not clean... and a complete disaster. Do not be influenced by any excuses the host may respond with. DO NOT rent from this host... or else take the chance I'm exaggerating and ruin your visit to Dublin.

Very covenient location. Pay attention to the oictures he provides. It will help in locating the lock box and the apartment. Understanding Itush electrical systems will.help you getting hot water for the shiwer. There is hot water, but you just have to know how to turn it on. The switch is in the kitchen.

We had 4 adults staying with the assumption that the couch was a pull out bed but it was not. There was a blow up mattress- we ended up not using it. The apartment overall was clean (bathrooms/kitchen). We expected no hot water in the ensuite from previous reviews and found that still to be the case. The property manager did respond to any questions we had. The location was perfect for walking distance to shops, restaurants, Temple Bar area. This would be ideal for 2 couples or a family with young children where only 2 beds are needed.

Lots of confusion since the pictures of parking and entry were old and did not reflect the actual area. Lockbox was different than pictured. The plants looked entirely different than pictured etc. Hot water was confusing and inadequate. I boiled pots of water on the stove and poured into bathtub. The property had an unpleasant smell that was not natural gas. There were not adequate plates or cups or coffee or cooking supplies. Not enough silverware. Very expensive and we did not enjoy our stay.
