Tucked along the quiet canals of Surf City, Dig’n It is a relaxed waterfront getaway designed for families, friends, and dog lovers alike. This canalfront home offers peaceful marsh views, a fully fenced backyard perfect for pets, and a private gazebo over the water — an ideal spot for morning coffee or sunset evenings. After a day at the beach, unwind in the hot tub sheltered beneath the covered deck.
Inside, the main living area is bright and open, with large windows framing the waterway and an easy flow between the living room, dining area, and kitchen. A built-in wine cooler in the living room makes relaxing evenings effortless, and a selection of games provides easy entertainment for all ages. Downstairs, the converted garage game room offers even more fun with ping pong, foosball, darts, and cornhole.
The home sleeps 15 across six bedrooms. On the main floor, you’ll find a streetside king bedroom, two queen bedrooms that share a full bath, and a separate room with a sleeper sofa for flexible sleeping space. Upstairs, the primary king suite offers beautiful water views, a private bath, a dedicated desk area, and its own private deck overlooking the canal — perfect for morning coffee or catching up on emails with a view. Also upstairs is a bunk room with a twin-over-twin and twin-over-double bunk, creating a fun retreat for kids and teens.
Step outside to enjoy coastal living at its best. This home features a private canalfront dock with ladder access, perfect for fishing, crabbing, or launching a kayak or paddleboard you bring along. The property does not include a boat lift or boat ramp; the nearest public boat launch is at Soundside Park. And when you’re ready for sand and surf, the closest public beach access is just 0.3 miles away — an easy walk or quick ride from the house. With its fenced yard, hot tub, water views, and easy indoor–outdoor flow, Dig’n It makes it effortless to slow down, settle in, and enjoy life by the water.

Any cancellation of a confirmed reservation must be made in writing by Guest. Reservation payments are not reimbursable unless the property can be re-rented for the same rate and time period less non refundable reservation fee, cancellation fee, and third-party fees. CHECK IN DAY DETAILS -
Your rental home allows you to check-in directly at the property. Check-in typically becomes available BETWEEN 4:00 - 6:00 PM on the day of your scheduled arrival. As soon as your rental is ready for check in, we will send you a text message with all of your check-in instructions. Please understand that all homes must be cleaned and inspected before we are allowed to issue access details and you are not allowed to be at the property until you have received that text message.
PREPARING FOR YOUR VACATION -
All our vacation rentals include fully equipped kitchens, basic small appliances (microwaves, coffee makers, toasters), pillows, comforters/bedspreads, television(s) and more! Our vacation homes do not supply consumable items for guest use (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, soap, spices, cleaning products, etc.). Please plan accordingly for any items you may need during your stay.
You are welcome to bring your own linens, or we provide a linens rental service for your convenience. Some homes provide complimentary linens for select dates and this detailed information can be found in the description. Linen package options include BRONZE (bed sheets only per bed listed), SILVER (bed sheets per bed listed, a bath towel set per occupancy, dish towel, and a bath mat per shower/tub), and GOLD (all items from the SILVER package plus one extra bath towel per occupancy).

WiFi: WiFi signal strength is NOT guaranteed at your rental for remote work or remote learning. We are located on a barrier island and do not have cellular towers on the island. This, coupled with the increase of guests in our area, creates an inconsistent cellular signal that is outside of our control and therefore, compensation is NOT given.
Beach Nourishment: Beach nourishment projects help preserve and protect Topsail Island’s shoreline. Most projects are scheduled annually between November and April and may involve large pipes on the beach, trucks moving sand, and other equipment to rebuild and maintain our dunes. Timelines and locations can shift without notice, and we are not always informed in advance. While we understand this may impact your beach experience, refunds or compensation will not be provided for disruptions related to beach nourishment. For the latest updates, we recommend checking the town websites for Topsail Beach, Surf City, or North Topsail Beach. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about potential beach impacts during your stay.
Water Pressure Notice: Please be aware that during popular rental dates, especially in the mornings and evenings, there may be temporary reductions in water pressure. This is a common occurrence across the island as many visitors are getting ready for the day or returning from the beach. We recommend planning showers and other water-related activities accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
Public Parking: The Town of Surf City enforces “Pay to Park” from March 1-Oct 31 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm in the Surf City Public Beach Access Parking Lots and other marked Public Parking Lots. The Town of North Topsail Beach will enforce “Pay to Park” from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM year-round. Onslow County operates three public parking areas/beach accesses within the Town of North Topsail Beach. To the best of our knowledge the county intends to continue operating these lots free of charge.
Leave No Trace: Topsail Island enforces a "Leave No Trace" policy in order to protect our shoreline, meaning you must remove all items, including tents and chairs, from the beach each day. Any items left behind are subject to theft, removal by the town, or possibility of being washed away by the ocean.
Turtle Nesting Season: From May to October, Topsail Island is a nesting ground for sea turtles. Be mindful of marked nests, limit oceanside deck lights, and follow local guidelines to protect them.
