Gerroa Beach Family Headland Escape

Centrally located, in the charming seaside village of Gerroa, Headland Escape is a short walk, to 7 Mile Beach, Children's playground facilities and Crooked River Lagoon which is great for children, and an even shorter stroll to Gerroa's Fishermans' Club.

4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and downstairs playroom for the kids to escape.

The house is large enough for 2 or 3 families to enjoy. Max. 7 adults (and 8 guests total). With a new smart tv in the living area upstairs.

There is a brand new upstairs bathroom (combined bathroom/toilet).

The living areas (upstairs and downstairs) have new lounges. There is air conditioning and ceiling fans upstairs and air conditioning downstairs.

The upstairs kitchen was recently renovated and fully functional with all your cooking appliances. There is also a beer/wine fridge downstairs for extra storage.

The bedrooms have new mattresses, bedside tables and window blinds.

The fire place located in the upstairs living area, will be ideal for the colder months.

Downstairs playroom with Pool Table and additional lounge and TV area, which is ideal for the kids to escape. The downstairs bathroom/laundry has recently been renovated into a functional ensuite/laundry with plenty of benchspace.

A well maintained fully fenced backyard, which is ideal for the kids. Sorry, no pets allowed.

Rear deck has Ocean views, a large BBQ and outdoor setting with shade umbrella. We have enjoyed many beautiful sunsets with a glass of wine. You can also feed the local wildlife so bring some sunflowers seeds along. The king parrots often jump onto your arm to feed out of your hand!

Downstairs off the back door is another outdoor deck with outdoor lounge and gas heater.

In the winter months, take your binoculars for some whale watching, either from the beach, or Black Head Headland, just at the end of the road.

There is wi-fi at the house.

This property is your quintessential coast home and has such a brilliant energy to it. We had four wonderful nights down there and can't wait to make it back!

Family Easter

The house was comfortable and provided plenty of space for our large family group. We enjoyed eating out on the deck and the pool table and darts provided plenty of entertainment. The location is excellent.

Fantastic Peaceful Stay for Families

Perfect location for large families with children with a small playground two doors downs and a five minute scroll to the beach. House is kid friendly with a safety gate for the stairs and a great deck for bbqs and lunching. Kitchen and bathroom has all the necessary essentials provided which was very thoughtful

Nice location, Large house

We stayed for three nights at this location. Host was a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating. However upon intial arrival we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the property and the amount of stuff there was around. After spending some time wiping over everything and rearranging a few things out of the way when we arrived we settled in and enjoyed our stay. We were allowed to check in early so we may have rushed the cleaner prior. Overall good location and plenty of room for everyone. Lounges were very comfy and fire place is a great addition.

perfect beach escape

the house is lovely and had everything we needed for a beach escape for three couples and one 2 year old (would also accommodate more children easily). we visited in winter - the fireplace made the house very cosy, while the large deck was perfect for afternoon drinks in the sun (with that view! ocean to one side, cow-covered hill on the other!) The beach is very close - a 5 minute walk max. Big, recently renovated kitchen and bathroom, and furniture that is stylish but practical - perfect for occasionally sandy feet! we absolutely loved the neighborhood (a great cafe for morning coffee and a fishermans club for beers with a view both within walking distance; everything else requires a drive to berry or gerringong). Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic!

This is a great house that is close to everything. The property was warm, cosy yet at the same time big enough to enjoy multiple areas, great back yard and the park just 2 doors up. You can walk to the beach, Blue Swimmer Cafe, park and inlet within a few minutes. Great fireplace which we used all weekend and the back deck overlooking the beach and mountains was a perfect way to end the day. Two other really note worthy items - 1. The Beds are so comfortable. For a holiday house we were so impressed with this. 2. The host Dee is so friendly and helpful.

A great family getaway

Our two families really enjoyed our week staying here. The house was great to stay in, giving us plenty of space to hang out together and to have privacy if needed. It was a quick walk to the beach and inlet where we had lots of fun. Little touches like the house having sand toys for the beach was much appreciated. We would happily stay here again.

A great place which needs some work

A good place for families close to park and beach and clean. There are a number of things that need to be done to make this a better place. Almost overrun by ants so needs spraying Nails on upstairs balcony need to be hammered in Front steps a little wonky probably requires strengthening or replacement Toilet seat broken All in all we had a good time even though the weather was not so good .

Great house. Easy walking distance to the beach

The owner was very accommodating and allowed us to have early check-in and late check out. The house was excellent very large with good facilities. The beach and river were within easy walking distance. The park just one house over was a nice bonus for the kids to play.

We are 3 sisters who bought our house in Gerroa with our husbands. We enjoy staying at the house when it is not occupied.

As a family, we grew up in Wollongong, only 30 mins from Gerroa. We enjoy taking the kids down the beach, surfing and playing in the sand.

Loved the proximity to the beach, with the path access to the water. We also love whale watching in winter with the family and surfing at the safe 7 Mile Beach with the kids.
