We had a wonderful time, the house was great, it was clean and had everything you would need. The host was great, if you needed something they were straight onto it. We would stay again

The property is centrally located which makes it awesome for sightseeing and also fuel , bakery and the shop. Reception.is great if you are with telstra. The property had all the essentials, plenty of parking, laundry if you need it, and is spacious enough for 7 with plenty of seating. Being centrally located made it a great fir for us!

Good stay just one thing that should have been made clear before booking was the power situation and the limited use of items that needed powering that you weren’t aloud like your portable fridge etc the power system obviously needs upgrading and the only issue while staying was the beds were very uncomfortable all in all everything else was good ..

Our listing states the electrical appliance limitations at the house due to the off grid power system. The house information document we send guests explains what kind of appliances cannot be used. In the email we send with the house information attached we specifically mention the power limitations. Like many private properties on the island the power system does not like appliances that draw a large current such as hair dryers, kettles, coffee machines and some plug in portable fridges. The system trips out to protect the batteries and will need to be reset by our House Manager. It can be a while before it is reset so to avoid the inconvenience we advise guests not to use high powered appliances. Phone chargers, audio/video/laptops are all fine. We are always happy to answer questions about specific items…

Great Family Holiday

We really enjoyed our stay at Hornblowers. The house easily fit two families and supplied all essential utilities. Great location and ample parking.

Every floor in every room was covered with sand. The ceiling fans are filthy. Massive build up of dust. Appears they haven't been cleaned in months. Kitchen sink tap leaks badly when you turn it on. The contact number for manager printed on the house info was wrong. When we did contact the correct person to report a broken chair we found on arrival we got absolutely no response.

Wonderful stay!

Lovely accommodation and happy with our experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Owner was friendly and accommodating. The location was also great with easy access to everything. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a wonderful stay!
