This was a great spot in Chicago for families or for business. The space was clean and cared for. Easy access to transportation and great restaurants within walking distance.

Location was just perfect for our home base. Right by the red line (station entrance on the actual corner), plenty of food options within walking distance and while the building is older (most are) - the common areas and the apartment were great. Kitchen was well equipped and SO nice to have washer/dryer in unit.

My only complaint was that we had zero hot water on our final morning but that is probably more a building issue than a reflection in the listing itself.

Unit is clean and well located. It is clearly a corporate owned VRBO. The benefit is professional and prompt responses. The downsides are as follows: incredibly intrusive ID verification process. It is hard to trust such in depth personal information with an unknown provider. My bank requires less information than was required for this reservation. The other issue with a corporate owned place is missing all the little homey touches. Bare minimum towels, bed pillows, kitchen supplies, etc. Who needs lamps on any of the bedside tables anyway? The master bed is nice and new but incredibly hard. The refrigerator has no ice maker - ok but how about some ice trays? None of the little things are included here. Would I stay here again? Maybe. But I have stayed at many places that put a lot more thought into what long term visitors want to see in a VRBO.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at the condo. The pictures accurately reflect the spot, the L and Jewel could not be more convenient, and the 3 A/C units kept the place comfortably cool despite the Chicago heat. We had challenges with parking because the garage door was being replaced and did not allow entry for most of our first 2 days, which was out of the hosts’ control, but overall the parking was a key benefit compared to other properties in the area that rely on street parking. There are a few items that would’ve been helpful to know about ahead of time and would’ve improved our experience. The shades were sheer white and made it difficult for our kids and us to sleep past daybreak. One of the showers was particularly small and the water never got hot on the first 2 attempts so we only used the tub shower. While the listing said “penthouse views” the unit is on the 12th floor of a 19 floor building and we heard a lot of heavy footsteps from the neighbors above (normal for a city condo but unexpected based on listing). And the bedroom with the en suite would benefit from some shelves in the closet or drawers so we could unpack from our suitcase. Overall the place was good on balance

Great location & a clean space that was great for a family of 4. Very helpful hosts that responded to all questions very quickly. Would absolutely stay again!
