This is a lovely home with lots of outdoor seating area to relax after a day of activities. It's just a mile from Turkey Run, and the host provides a park pass. The host responded quickly to questions and was very accommodating. We loved it here and would stay again!

Our family absolutely loved our stay at the Rustic Retreat! Plenty of space for four inside, and lots of fun activities outside. Would definitely stay again if visiting Turkey Run/Shades!

Our stay at the Rustic Retreat was wonderful. Check in was super easy and the home was extremely clean and comfortable. The host is extremely quick to answer any questions. The house is equipped with everything you need. Several games are available in the yard as well as a firepit and hammock. The porch is extremely comfortable and provided great shade during the hot temperatures during our stay. A hot tub is on the back porch. The area is extremely peaceful. A State Park pass is available for use and came in very handy for our daily hikes at Turkey Run which is a very short drive right down the street. The Rustic Retreat will be our base for any future stays in the Turkey Run and surrounding area.

We found the stay quite enjoyable. The amenities were fantastic. The house was really clean and well stocked. We found the owners to be very easy to communicate with and very helpful. We would highly recommend!

Everything was amazing! We loved the space, the thoughtful decor, and the quietness of the property. It was such a restful spot for our family, and just a mile down the road from hiking and horseback riding at Turkey Run. We especially loved the front porch! Hope to be back again sometime!

Cute little place perfect for two couples or small family. Great access to Turkey Run state park as well as other places in the county. Well stocked kitchen and appreciated amenities like toiletries and ability to do laundry

Great Experience near Turkey Run State Park. We had a large family group who was camping at Turkey Run, and a few of us were interested in being as close as possible in a home. This one delivered. It only took a quick 2 minute drive to get to the campsite. The home was just as advertised. We enjoyed using the hot tub, and wish we had more time to play all of the yard games too! In the age of "too many checkout instructions," we were also pleasantly surprised at the minimum requests from the hosts here. We highly recommend and will likely stay here again!

We loved our stay! The outside was so relaxing and fun. It was a wonderful location and the cabin had everything we needed. I really appreciated so many of the little things- the standing portable fan, the state park pass, the quality plates/cups, comfy blankets and the big tv and electrical fireplace. We plan to return! My one recommendation is to put a pillow top on one of the beds since they’re both SO firm.

Communication with Nicole was great. The cabin was perfectly located near the Turkey Run main entrance, if needed a state park pass was available. Cabin was clean, appliances worked well and was an overall cozy experience. Would return and recommend.

This was an incredible place. The house was so well stocked and every last detail considered. The hostess was very easy to reach with our small questions. Quiet property, but still close to towns to explore. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the rustic retreat! It is clean and appears to be newly renovated. Very inviting, relaxing, and fun. Lots of blankets to cozy up inside and peaceful scenery to enjoy outside. Assuming you plan to explore at Turkey Run State Park, the free admission pass is a great perk offered by the hosts! We also enjoyed a couple campfires (wood included), grilling on the Blackstone, and playing games (including the customized outdoor bowling set). Very impressed with the smart washer/dryer combo as well. This place definitely has a personal touch, lots of attention to detail, with a home away from home feeling.

Nicole was AMAZING and prompt in all of her responses. She answered all of my questions and was super helpful and accommodating. We eill definitely be nack.This house has EVERYTHING you need except food, lol Seriously you don't need to pack any extras

Overall, this is a really great experience. The Vrbo was really clean and they had a diffuser going that smelled really good. All of the appliances were nice and the kitchen was new - I loved the sink, Rustic is a great descriptor. Maybe rustic luxe? ;)A few things worth noting - they didn’t take away from the experience for us at all, but are worth pointing out. The beds are big and I love that there are TVs in both of the bedrooms as well as the family room. You can also log into your streaming services and it’ll automatically log you out when you check out. The beds were on the firmer side though and a little uncomfortable for us because we’re used to softer beds. Also, the diffusers that were active when we first got there were covering up a smoke smell. Maybe at one point someone had smoked there? We just kept the diffusers going and it wasn’t a big deal for us, but if somebody has an allergy or something they might want to know that. There’s also well water there. We’re from different cities and not used to the taste of well water, The filter in the fridge is really good and if we got our water from the fridge, you couldn’t taste it at all. I could tell when I was taking a shower or washing my hands though.the washer/dryer combo was very cool. We were able to wash clothes / detergent was provided. Lastly - WiFi was perfect. No issues with that. And there were minimal clean up chores before checkout. Easy and easy out my favorite.Overall, we had a great time

An absolutely adorable, clean, luxury house with everything you will need and want. The hot tub was amazing and clean. The grill was fantastic. It has everything you will need in the kitchen. It’s conveniently located. Highly recommend.

This is the perfect place right near Turkey Run. We opted to "glamp" while our family was tent camping for a big fam reunion. This was the perfect location for back & forth from Turkey Run. The hosts have made the space very comfortable, cute decor, the front patio is PERFECT to take in nature. Would highly recommend for anyone heading to Turkey Run area.
