Quiet and comfortable

Nicely decorated and comfortable. The addition of snacks and coffee is a nice touch. We would stay there again if we were to plan to attend another event at the nearby SAP Center.

Beautiful studio

I was visiting family but needed a private place to stay. This studio fit the bill perfectly. It's beautifully decorated to make you feel at home... perfect for 1 or for a couple. It's a nice quiet neighborhood in a good area. My family situation was stressful, so I had difficulty focusing during check-in. I was told to go through the gate by the garage, but the garage has been converted to the studio... just go through the gate on the left. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Lots of thoughtful touches, very pretty decor, fridge and microwave, even snacks. Highly recommend!

Visiting family

This was the perfect place for us to stay during a recent visit to see family. The location is perfect as it is close to our kids house. Met our needs and we will definitely return.

Adorable Space

The VRBO is located in a residential area and was perfect, looks just like her photos, all necessary item plus extras, cozy bed and space, nicely decorated and we loved it. Great for a couple.

Cozy studio

The location of this property is great. You have easy access to either downtown Willow Glen or downtown Campbell with both having so many restaurant and shopping options. The studio is nicely laid out and offered a very comfortable stay. We will definitely book again next time we're in town!

Perfect stay

We had an excellent stay in this studio. The room is larger than i expected. A lot of thought clearly went into the design and decoration of the space. The bed was very comfortable. The location is very convenient and the host is quick to respond. Highly recommend.

New Granddaughter

The studio is exactly as the pictures show. Very nicely decorated & set up , plenty of room for the two of us. Very clean, well stocked with towels, etc..Had some questions & owner responded immediately. Will definitely stay again if studio is available.

Quiet

Such a clean quiet neighborhood. The bed was very comfortable and the place was decorated so cute. It was well equipped with everything we would need. Geri was quick to respond with any questions.. Little bit of a walk to restaurants or convenience store but great exercise.

Recent Stay

This location is centrally located to much of the Santa Clara County area. Geri, was very responsive to our questions before, during, and after our stay. The room was plenty big enough for two of us, and was very clean. Would not hesitate to book again, when we come back.

Spacious & Comfortable Suite

This suite was actually larger than we anticipated- its the size of a large master bedroom plus bathroom and kitchenette area. It was fresh, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Just what we needed

We made a quick stop in San Jose to visit family. This smallish rental worked well for us. Good location, small place but efficiently designed and decorated. Everything worked well.

Had to dispute charges held. Owner is rude.

I found it odd the home away booking system requested I pay an exhorbitant deposit, in addition to the nightly fee rate, for two nights I booked at a nicely decorated, clean, small unit attached to a woman's home in the San Jose, CA area. I had three long days of business conferences nearby so I only spent time there to sleep. Weather temperatures while I was there were in triple digits. The air conditioning didn't work so it was uncomfortable sleeping. The ceiling fan didn't operate either. And, attempting to connect to wi-fi at the unit gave me error messages indicating the password which displayed near the front entrance to the unit was incorrect. To me, with all of these issues, the owner seemed apathetic in her communication or offer of help to make my stay more comfortable. She never did greet me when I arrived or ask if everything were alright, even though I texted her about the issues I experienced with her property. In the end, I left the unit early the morning after my second night's stay. Literally, the extent of cleaning needed to the unit when I left was an unmade bed and laundering of two towels. The owner messaged me within minutes of my vacating that she was refunding the entire deposit being held. She told me home away would credit the hold in two payments. A second smaller hold credit was not immediately issued to my credit card. Days later I emailed the owner and inquired when I would receive the second credit payment for a portion of the deposit held. She replied she was unsure and that I should contact home away directly. In the end, and with effort and time spent, I disputed the deposit hold charge with American Express. I received credit for the smaller deposit home away held. In summary, my review is: Because of what should have been a simple booking, requiring minimal effort, hassle and discomfort, I consider myself an ex-home away customer. Home away doesn't deserve my business, my time or my money. What a horrible operation they run.

Great stay!

Clean, private, cute and functional. No corners were cut in transforming part of this residence into a quaint getaway spot. I assume this was originally the garage, but you'd never know from the inside or out!!! It was done with quality materials and workmanship. Great attention to detail in the decor, both aesthetically and functionally. It's in a decent, quiet neighborhood with convenient access to stores, etc. It's well stocked with everything you'd expect in a hotel, but with higher quality linens and a cleaner, quieter, more private feel. My only caution is not to be surprised by the pricing. This is probably typical of this type of rental, but a listed price of $99 per night quickly becomes $175 or higher b/c of multiple fees for things like a second person (and third, etc), cleaning, booking fee, insurance... This was comparable to hotel rates in the area. So, no savings, but for us a little nicer stay.

Geri’s Place

Geri’s place was perfect for my daughter and I while we were looking for a place to live for her. The unit was clean and beds very comfortable. Downtown Campbell is very cute!

Private, well appointed, convenient location

My husband and I stayed at Geri's place with an adult friend of ours. Given the 3 adults, it was great to have the 2nd twin bed! We appreciated the privacy and comfort of the unit, it is well appointed with anything you may need for your stay. We ventured to Los Gatos one evening for dinner and to Monterey for kayaking and the aquarium - very convenient location. We highly recommend Geri's place and would stay there again!

Fantastic first trip to California!

My wife and I attended a sporting event in Santa Clara and decided to stay at this beautiful studio apartment while in town. The room was exactly as advertised, the bed was comfortable, direct tv was perfect and the decoration was memorable. It was nice having the kuerig and kcups available for the mornings and the San Jose location was easily accessible off of the main highway without the hassle of traffic. Plus we made a quick and beautiful ride down to Santa Cruz to see the ocean! Would highly recommend this place to any traveler in the area! Very good experience!
