The day we checked in couldnt get into the house the pin pad wouldnt work, had to call for help. The master bedroom door to the patio didnt lock. Most of the bedroom outlets didnt work, the dryer didnt dry at all. There was cobwebs in the bedrooms, one of the shower heads barely put out any water. The wifi bufferd so we had to use our personal hotspot. Called vrbo about the issues, they told me we will send this to the manager and get someone out to fix the dryer, never did. Called 2 times about it.

Check-in was good and the kitchen was perfect. It was great to be able to cook meals and not have to go out all the time. Also, it was nice to have the beach close enough to walk to. There was great space for the 5 of us on our girls trip! Thanks so much! We had an enjoyable time!

Cute beach cottage minutes from the beach

We enjoyed the beach cottage and all that it had to offer! Our group had 10 people and there were plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. A beautiful beach is a short two minute walk, which was a nice surprise! The location was pretty centrally located between Tillamook and Newport. It could use a good deep cleaning. There were cobwebs and debris in the corners and cupboards. We made sure we washed the dishes orior to using them and cleaned all of the surfaces before cooking. They have a shoes off request, which is understandable. However, the floor was pretty dirty so we made sure to wear socks. Overall, we would definitely stay again. Thank you for hosting us!
This beach access is a 2 minute walk away and had a stairway made out of large stones. It was stunning!

Never again- Terrible

Too many broken things- no operable BBQand the listing shows 2 BBQs. Dishwasher not secured in the cabinet and it fell out and smashed my foot.

Weekend with friends

The house fits a surprising number of people, has many beds, which is not entirely clear in the listing. It's older and a little funky but has great charm. Don't expect to visit and sit in front of the television. The one in existence is small, but that worked for us just fine. We were there to visit. Easy proximity to the ocean beach and to Hawk Creek Cafe. Good deck space for outside seating. Would reserve again..

Big Blue is a great house for large groups. Location is excellent and overall just a nice place for a beach getaway.

overall property was fine; however tv and cable needs big time improvement (also wifi kept going in and out). There to watch superbowl and needless to say, no superbowl was watched. Dryer did not work even though advertised as washer and dryer at facility.

Disappointed

We have stayed at big blue several times and loved it. Not so much this time. The oven didn’t display temperature so baked by guessing. The dishwasher was very difficult to start, and often left part of the soap in the dispenser. Unlikely to come back unless owner replaces appliances.

Big Blue disappointment

This was at least our fourth time staying at Big Blue in Neskowin. We have been spending a week each summer in Neskowin for more than 2 decades. I checked before we left to make sure the oven and BBQ were working, since I noticed that they were reported broken in June by a renter. I was assured they were both in working order. The oven only worked on broil and we couldn't get the filthy BBQ to work. A nice person from vacasa came and let us know the oven did not work and showed us how to light the BBQ and suggested we clean it. It had hunks of dead salmon in it. (Smelly!). We were unable to cook the food we brought with us from Seattle. In addition, there were 3 teaspoons in the silverware drawer for 7 people, and 3-4 hand towels for a week. Each year we come it has been worse. For more than $4600 for a week, we would expect working appliances and a spoon for each person. Would love to talk with someone from Vacasa about our rental.

Very comfortable. I couldn’t find a mop to clean floors. Brooms old and broken. Had ants that were in laundry room and traveling up stairwell baseboards.

Big Blue worked out really well for us.

We had a great week at Big Blue. Perfect property and perfect location. Our Labrador, also named Blue, had the time of his life and the little yard worked perfect. The photos in the listing appear to be very old from when things were a little fresher and newer. The house feels very lived in which is both good and bad. Cleaning service requires much more attention to detail… overall very good experience

Great place for large family group

Highly recommend. Very accommodating house for large family group. The house is comfortable and kitchen is well stocked for big family meals. Close to the beach. The weather was beautiful and the neighborhood picturesque.

Stay at Big Blue in Neskowin

Stay was great, enjoyed our time at the beach. Just a couple comments: Group before us left the garbage can area a mess and we had animals in the garbage every night. Would be good to make sure garbage is in cans or containers between renters. BBQ could use a cleaning. Only 3 forks in the kitchen. Property is excellent location and we will be back. Thanks.

Amazing

Great fun to be had with lots of games on hand. Beach was a little too chilly but it was a cozy place to hang out for the weekend.

Perfect little get away

The home was great, kitchen is fully stocked with utensils so if you’re a cook then it’s a dream come true. We cooked every night, walked down to the beach every night for sunset. The home had plenty of blankets to take down and stay warm. I’d return for a little get away anytime.

Cute house with good vibes. The house is dated and shows wear and tear but our stay was comfortable. It was clean and well equipped. A little pricey with all the added fees.

Close to beach

Property located two short blocks from beach. Easy beach access one block north. Plenty of room/beds for 4 adults, very well equipped kitchen. Upstairs perfect for kids. Backyard is fenced but deck access must be blocked in order to secure yard for dogs. Heat source in main living area is fireplace (wood and fire starter provided), black mold in main floor bathroom shower, some towels could definitely be replaced (thin, stained).
