Joan, The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following: Owner's response: "Joan, We ask all our guests to contact us immediately if they have any issues or problems to report. We did not hear from you regarding any cleanliness issues until after you left the home. I was at the home 20 minutes after the cleaners departed and the home smelled fresh and lemony from the cleaning products used. If you contact us when you are in the home we have the opportunity to rectify any issues to ensure you have a good stay. We remodeled the home in the Spring of 2022 and do not feel it is outdated. The photos in the listing are accurate and do not show a cluttered home. We provide our guests with extra blankets, pillows, linens, and other miscellaneous items. The few personal items we have are in the owner's closet and are locked off and inaccessible. We found out about the issue with the bunk bed rails after you departed and my husband was there immediately to get the issue taken care of. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver those 5-star experiences we are known for."

I want to assure you that we take cleanliness very seriously. Within an hour of being informed of your concerns, I followed up with you and immediately informed our cleaning team, who had thoroughly inspected the room, and assured me that they did not detect any odor. We do not allow pets in our home and take measures to ensure this policy is upheld. - I apologize if there was any miscommunication regarding your request for a refund due to leaving a day early. Unfortunately, I did not receive any communication from you regarding this matter. Additionally, we had another guest scheduled to arrive, and our home was not available for an extension due to prior bookings. It's important to note that the following guest had communicated with us and advised they had flown into the area a day early because of the weather conditions to ensure they would arrive as scheduled for their reservation. - We understand that unexpected situations, such as the winter storm, can be challenging, and we sympathize with your situation. However, our policies regarding refunds and extensions are in place to ensure fairness to all guests. - Thank you again for bringing these concerns to our attention.
