As a solo traveler on a limited budget, who needs a kitchen, it was the first time in a very, very long time to find a wonderful solution for a much needed retreat and only a couple of hours from Tucson...Rod and Rebecca are kind hosts and you'll see them, but rarely-they have created quality accomodations in a beautiful, peaceful, private and safe setting...the surroundings they have created have resulted in an amazing pollinator garden filled with flowers, birds and butterflies, color and beauty, and fun walking paths - such a joy to wake up to and land here each evening; A goal this trip was to explore the area and birding and learn a new camera, having no idea this would be the perfect launching point to Ramsey Canyon Preserve, Miller Canyon/Beatty Ranch, Montezuma, Carr, Ash,Brown Canyons and San Pedro house, and a visit to Lisa's Great Thunder Alpaca Ranch, Patagonia, Sonoita & Empire Ranch; They have thought of absolutely everything that would be needed with quality furnishings...this is not a cheezy rv...it's luxury; Loved having a bbq and fixing meals-everything needed was there, including s&p, oil, etc.; It's a bit rural (not a bad thing), so the "city" street signs, made getting there the first time in the evening after a lot of rain interesting, as a couple of dirt roads made me question, but as soon as I was there, it was a breeze coming and going the entire stay. I hesitate to share, as I'd like to keep this one my little secret, but can't! Loved it...
