Fonte al Vento is a detached villa wisely set in a large property against a breathtaking landscape that includes an additional accommodation facilities. Each one has its own private garden, swimming pool and spaces for exclusive use to completely respect the privacy of our guests.
The Villa is placed in the beautiful and striking Tuscan countryside, surrounded by olive trees and vineyard: the perfect setting to indulge in the colours and scents of our valley in an atmosphere of complete relaxation and comfort.
The old town centre of the wonderful and famous city of Cortona, just 400 mt far, is easily reachable through a few minutes of a pleasant scenic walk.

The villa has been recently built with the use of natural materials locally sourced, such as Senese travertine, the stone from Cortona and the Tuscan woods. It is tastefully furnished and equipped with all the modern comforts but accordingly with the Tuscan tradition. It is composed of 4 suites with wonderful views and with their own private bathrooms, all equipped with modern and valued gears, air conditioning and wellness facilities that will project you to exclusive and customized mini spa.

Levante Suite: generous size, with three frontages over the Val di Chiana, Jacuzzi and whirlpool shower
Ponente Suite: the largest suite, unique panoramic views over the valley, bathroom with whirlpool shower and Jacuzzi
Maestrale Suite: the most intimate, it overlooks our St. Egidio Mountain and the stunning Monastery of St. Francis, bathroom with whirlpool shower
Scirocco Suite: generous size, with frontage over the historical Church of Santa Maria Nuova, direct access to the terrace, facing the Val di Chiana, bathroom with bathtub and Turkish bath room.

The unit is completed by a spacious Lounge area (with bucket seats, a charming fireplace, a big smart Tv, a design pool table and a cozy toilet), a modern and fully equipped kitchen and a dining room where to immerse into a bath of light and into a wonderful historical and bucolic charm

Beautiful property with friendly owners. Just a walk from town so great for dining out.

Pretty perfect villa for out family of 5. Lots of room to spread out. If the weathers not good the indoor seating area would not cater that well for full occupancy but not an issue for us. We enjoyed a family cooking lesson and meal at the villa.

Wonderful Week in Tuscany

My family and I spent a week in Cortona at the Villa of Silvia and Francesco. Their home is absolutely lovely. Very modern with all the comforts one could ask for. The view and especially sunset from their home is outstanding. Best of all is Silvia and Francesco. Silvia provided us with restaurants to enjoy, places to visit and set up tours at a winery and cheese farm. All of which we tried and loved. Francesco cooked dinner for 7 of us 1 night and it was spectacular. I would venture to say that it was the best meal of the 3 weeks we stayed in Italy. His Pici is to die for. Although it was late March and unseasonably cold, we had a wonderful week in Cortona and a major reason was Silvia, Francesco and their home.

No place better

We had the pleasure of staying at Fonte al Vento for 3 weeks this summer. The grounds were impeccable. The views unparalleled. The convenience of being a ten minute walk up to Cortona was so very convenient for our entire family. Silvia made our visit the trip of a lifetime. She was there to answer all of our questions and accommodate all of our travel requests...plus she's a sweet adorable gem! The villa had four beautiful large bedrooms - modern, clean, luxury. The men gathered around the pool table at night and the women sat on the lounge chairs outside watching the sunset. There is honestly no better place to stay in the Tuscany/Umbria area than Fonte al Vento...I promise you will not be disappointed! Heaven!

5-STAR... AMAZING LOCATION. THIS IS THE ONLY VILLA TO RENT IN CORTONA.. 5 MINUTE WALK to TOWN

We recently stayed at Fonte Al Vento with another couple. WE were beyond pleased.. This is a brand new villa, state of the art everything. This home is beautifully decorated with all the amenities you will need.. The bedrooms are comfortable, beautiful and the bathrooms are to die for.. There is a beautiful infinity pool, overlooking the Tuscan Hills and the valley below Cortona.. The best location ever.. You are 5 minute walk up hill to the beautiful walled city of Cortona where there are beautiful shops, and many great restaurants. The owner and hostess Silvia, is like long lost family. SHe is truly wonderful and so helpful.. This is the perfect location to drive to other beautiful towns. WE saw Arezzo and drove to see friends in Chianti at Castello di Cacchiano Winery.. I couldn't recommend this beautiful home enough.. We will stay there again..Thank you Silvia and hope to see you soon .... Room Tip: All of the bedrooms are beautiful and 5-star...

Words cannot describe.....

This is my first online review which should say a lot. I have rented a lot of properties in my life and this is the best one yet. The house is beautiful and modern. Every possible detail was thought of in the design, from the stunning bathrooms to the hidden sink and stove top and TV. But really it was the warmth of Francesco and Silvia that made it perfect! Well, them, the infinity pool and the views! They were responsive to any questions that we had but are not hanging around the property. We are foodies who lived in NYC for many years and Francesco's cooking was simply divine: the presentation, the taste, his personality and his lovely mom who helps him cook. We shared the house with another family. The house is a great amount of space and I never felt crowded. Another great part is that the house is walk-able to town. Renting this house will make all future rentals pale in comparison. If you are staying in Cortona this is the house for you and if you are not staying in Cortona change your plans!

Will never stay anywhere else in Cortona!

The Villa was the perfect place to travel the Tuscany area from! Everything about The Villa was exceptional...views, comfort, accommodations, and hosts (Silvia & Francesco). It fit 6 of us very comfortably, and would fit 8 for sure. Each spacious bedroom has its own fully accommodated, attached bathroom. It is peaceful and quiet! Silvia was extremely responsive with the booking and all the planning up to the day of arrival. When she says she's "at your disposal", she means it! When she says she wants to make sure you have a memorable vacation, she means it! While staying at the Villa, you must have Francesco prepare a wine tasting dinner for you. We had one the night we arrived. Every course was spectacular, the wines they chose to pair were spot on! It was a fabulous way to begin our stay in Cortona! We'll be back...sooner rather than later.

Fabulous

This villa is everything and more. There were no surprises. It is new and clean and the rooms are as pictured. If you are planning a daily itinerary, leave yourself plenty of time to just to sit by the pool and enjoy the view - and maybe some good wine and cheese. We had one catered meal at the villa and I believe it was the best meal we had in Italy! Silvia and Francesco were perfect hosts - available but not intrusive. We traveled with 2 daughters, a son-in-law and 2 teen granddaughters and it was a perfect fit. I'd go back again and again!!

Fonte al Vento is a thoroughly modern villa in the midst of Renaissance charm!

If you are wanting a thoroughly modern villa with the aesthetics and craftsmanship of old look no further. The villa is situated 10 easy walking minutes outside the western wall of Cortona. Privacy is insured. The panoramic views over the valley are wonderful and the sunsets are glorious! The villa has 4 large and comfortable bedrooms, each with its own ensuite. The dining area is very spacious and bathed in light. The kitchen is modern and thoroughly complete. The interior layout offers opportunity for both gathering together or privacy depending on your mood. The infinity pool is a fabulous feature along with the outdoor patio and dining area given the summer warmth. Silvia and Francesco are vibrant, warm and attentive managers/owners. They went out of their way to make our 2 week stay perfect. Francesco also prepared 2 multi-course dinners for parties of 5 and 7 and we can only say that the experiences, particularly the outdoor one, were sublime. Cortona is an excellent Toscanna hilltop town with many fine shops and great restaurants. We especially recommend "I Grifi" where we dined 3 times. Also very good is "Preludio" and a third recommendation is "La Bucaccia" although the owner of the latter is a little quirky. Cortona is very well situated near the border of Toscanna and Umbria making many towns in both areas very readily accessible for 1/2 to full day trips. You can't miss with this property and its managers/owners!
