Beautiful Holiday home on the outskirts, 10 Minutes to Salzburg

The cottage built in timber-frame construction directly border our biologically conducted farm. Admist a fruit orchard and surrounded by meadows. The cottage is new, bright, comfortable , with a stylish setting and easily offer room for a family (86 sqm). Bathroom, anteroom, an open kitchen with a dinette, the living quarters with a fire place, as well as two bedrooms with balcony on the first floor – this is where one feels like home.
A spice garden in front of the cottage can also be used by our guests.
Salzburg, the Festival City, is close-by and easily approachable by public transport. Lakes and mountains in the immediate vicinity promise an unforgettable vacation.
But there is also never a dull moment at our farm. Pia, the jenny, cows, calves,
cats or pigs – they all hold out to be stroked.
This is the right place to enjoy your vacation to the full.

We loved our stay with Elfie and Hannes! The cottage was clean and comfortable for the four of us. Elfie gave us a tour of thier farm and we loved seeing the animals each day. Elfie was on hand to help in any way. Location is beautiful with a nearby grocery store (3 min), gas station (6 min) and restaurants (5 min). Easy drive into Salzburg and loved coming home to the quiet countryside after spending time in the city. Highly recommend!

Wonderful!

This was a fabulous place to stay. The hosts were wonderful, readily available if needed and left wonderful little extras in our place. The locale was wonderful. We enjoyed staying in the country, with the beautiful scenery and it was an easy drive to go into Salzburg. We would highly recommend staying here.

Amazing property,amazing hosts. So very peaceful- this idyllic cottage is in the most beautiful countryside. Very easy to get to Salzburg from this quiet lovely spot.

Family Farm Vacation

Elfie provided us with the most delicious assortment of farm fresh products. Our family enjoyed the food as well as seeing the farm animals daily. It was a great place to stay and go off and site see each day. We will stay again if we are fortunate enough to come back on holiday!!

A lovely little house within the farm complex. Two very good sized double bedrooms upstairs, a comfortable lounge with lots of seating , a well equipped kitchen / dining area. Modern shower room downstairs. A cosy place to relax with walking and cycling in the area, plus an easy distance to visit the city of Salzburg. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good with two days of heavy persistent rain, but being inside the house was very comfortable. Our dog was welcome but the garden was open so no fenced area to let him run free. Austria seems obsessed with only allowing dogs on any kind of public transport IF they are wearing a muzzle - we have not encountered this elsewhere in Europe- and it is restrictive as this rule included the Park and Ride into Salzburg and the funicular up to the castle. We did not and would not muzzle our dog - he has ridden funicular railways and boat trips in Switzerland, buses in Denmark and trains in the UK- all without incident.

Perfect Salzburg Getaway

The Lenzenbauer’s farm cottage was an absolutely perfect option for exploring Salzburg and the surroundings. We contemplated whether to stay in Salzburg or somewhere quieter and more rural, and decided on the rural option. We could not have chosen better. Easily accessible from the city by rail or car, with just a 15 minute walk from the cottage to the rail station, we could easily get in and out of the city cheaply and easily. The cottage and grounds were immaculately kept - clean and beautiful and with the option of fresh farm produce (eggs, fruit, juices, fresh bread) purchased directly from the host’s farm store next door. Our entire family of four - including two hard-to-please young adults - loved the place and we wished we could have stayed longer.

House in Hallwang

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Hallwang. The house was very well equipped and was spotless. All my children enjoyed the farm especially the youngest. He loved checking for eggs every morning. Burgi kindly left us lots of food and we could buy eggs, bread, jam, juice and milk - all produced on the farm. The free internet access meant my older children could still stay in touch with friends. Hallwang itself is very pretty but is small. We used the local train to get into Salzburg and this was very easy. Burgi and her family made us feel very wecome and we would definitely like to return. We will certainly recommend it to our friends.

Extremely clean and very nice cottage! It definitely surpassed our expectations. The photos make it hard to tell exactly how many beds there are, upstairs there are 2 very nice big bedrooms. One with a king sized bed and 1 with a king sized bed, queen sized bed and even a crib. We stayed here with our 3 daughters and were very comfortable. Elfie was very good at communicating with us and was very sweet to show us around the farm and all of the animals. This was an amazing experience for our kids to get to stay on an alpine farm with animals, a fruit orchard and a huge garden! Mountain View’s and lush greenery all around-it was amazing! The only difficulty we had was getting there, Google Maps led us on a long hike from the train station through a field. There is actually a little trail that goes through a forest and up to their farm community-it’s about a 10 minute walk to and from the train station-it is a steep incline going there. This walk is beautiful though and a very nice way to start each day. It is very easy to get to Salzburg, however, you do have to plan because the trains only run once per hour. We had an amazing time here, we explored Salzburg and even went to Hallstatt from this location.

kurze Auszeit, hier: alles perfekt, ideal.

Wir hatten uns eine Woche gegönnt zum Abschalten. Das hat in dieser Unterkunft wunderbar funktioniert. Die Lage ist super. Salzburg gleich nebenan. Das Häuschen ist wirklich toll. Man fühlt sich gleich wie Zuhause. Ein kleiner Selbstbedienungshofladen versorgt einen mit lecker Säften, Eiern, usw..... Durch die gute Infrastruktur erreicht man schnell viele Punkte in Österreich (z.B. Innsbruck, Kaprun, Berchtesgaden u.a.). Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit. Ich hoffe wir finden alsbald wieder die Möglichkeit das zu wiederholen....

A disconnecting bubble

We had a wonderful stay in this house, located in a farm. The house is perfectly arranged with everything you need. Our children spent an endless time with the farm animals, we enjoyed the organic produce they produced. The location is perfect, as it is not far from the main roads to all the places to visit. Thank you for everything!

Schönes sauberes Ferienhaus

Sehr sauberes und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus. Für Kinder schöne Umgebung mit Bauernhof-Tieren. Sehr freundliche Vermieter, die uns bei Ankunft mit Produkten aus eigener Herstellung begrüßten. Einzig die WLan-Verbindung könnte verbessert werden.

Hat Erwartungen übertroffen!

Der Empfang der Gastfamilie war sehr freundlich und professionell. Zudem wurden wir mit vielen wundervollen Köstlichkeiten erwartet, alles direkt vom Bauernhof. Das Haus war herrlich sauber, die Atmosphäre heimelig - wir und unser Hund fühlten uns sofort daheim. Die Lage super, in nur wenigen Minuten ist man mitten in Salzburg. Viele tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten im Umkreis. Hallwang und insbesondere die Gastfamilie und das Haus ist immer wieder eine Reise wert! Vielen Dank!

Magical Austrian vacation

My husband and I, along with our two teenage children, had an amazing stay at this charming farm chalet. When we arrived on Christmas Eve, there was a sprinkling of snow on the ground. The lodging was just as expected and a perfect size for the 4 of us. We used the fireplace on a regular basis during our 9 day stay and regularly enjoyed fresh, homemade food from the farm - including apple cider, bread, eggs and milk. My daughter and I loved visiting the farm animals and a few morning I walked around the area, taking in the beautiful scenery. Laundry machines were located nearby, just steps from the chalet and easy to use. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed for preparing breakfast and small meals (we spent most meals with our friends in town, otherwise I'm sure the kitchen would have been completely adequate for full-regular cooked meals). Elfi was prompt to answer any questions/requests and always made sure we had what we needed. I can't say enough about this wonderful little farm, the chalet and our perfect stay there. When we come to Salzburg again, we'll be checking with Elfi to she if her Chalet is available. It was truly a home away from home for the Christmas holiday. Danke!

Fairy tale farm

We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful chalet on the farm & enjoyed every moment. It was such a treat to be greeted with a plate of samples (cheese, jam, apple wine & juice) made right there on the farm. Beautifully done, comfortable & spacious more like a cabin. Elfi came by every night for our orders for fresh eggs, etc. for the following day. And it was fun to get to see & pet the animals (goats, bunnies, a newborn calf that melted my heart!). Fun for a family or a couple of retired people like us. Highly recommend!

Majestic landscape~Beautiful Farm Home~and gracious owner

Our family's experience was absolutely wonderful! we Enjoyed the green landscaping surrounding us. The farm itself included several different animals that our children were able to view. We enjoyed the daily breakfast goodies straight from the farm; fresh and delicious. The accommodations were clean and comfortable with well stocked amenities in the kitchen. The owner ensured that we were informed about area restaurants and activities from the start. Salzburg is close by and we enjoyed the piano and violin concert at the church as well as the many surrounding restaurants. I would highly recommend staying at this location if you are looking for a relaxing farmland type of vacation.

Great farm cottage and wonderfully friendly owners

My family just stayed here and loved it. Kids fed the animals every day and loved the farm. It was a beautiful house, super clean and perfect for our family! I would come back again.

A beautiful place to stay

The chalet and surroundings are very beautiful, with outdoors to enjoy as well. The owner could not have been more helpful - when we arrived she welcomed us with homemade bread, apple juice, apple wine and cheese. As we did not have a car she drove us to the supermarket and showed us how to get to the railway station to take a train into Salzburg. I would wholeheartedly recommend the property.
