Spotless house with well-planned indoor group space. Very private property with lovely pond/wildlife views. Easy driving distance to Danville. Would definitely consider staying again if in the area!

Wonderful Time Getting Away

This modern cabin was the ultimate getaway. With its sleek design and massive windows stretching along the entire side of the house, it offered wonderful views of the lake and a wonderful time of relaxation. The beds were very comfortable and the house was well stocked. Our kids loved the toys and books! We spent our days enjoying the beautiful view and exploring. The evenings were spent out by the campfire under the stars or relaxing together in the game room. We left feeling completely recharged and already looking forward to our next visit!

Spacious, Comfortable Retreat

Eagles' Haven was a great place to stay for a quick weekend reunion. The property is beautiful with a panoramic view off of the back deck looking onto the lake. Our boys enjoyed fishing there. The house is well-appointed and styled, with a comfortable contemporary decor upstairs and a fun "game room" common area for kids downstairs. Details such as the hot tub and available grill made for a comfortable and convenient stay. It is secluded with modern amenities - the best of both worlds. 5 stars.

Perfect stay for our family

This home was very close to my son’s wedding venue. This was perfect for our family to be close to the venue and to be together for this very special occasion! This home was beautiful and our host was very accommodating. We enjoyed bird watching, fishing and saw the bald eagles daily. We hope to return as a family for much needed time together.

The Property was beautiful and it was configured in a way to accommodate a good amount of people. The house had every amenity that you could think of. We were given more amenities than any other property that I have stayed at. The communication with the owner was outstanding. Clear, precise instructions. This Property is a true gem. I will look forward to staying there again.

Great stay at Eagles Haven

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house had every attention to detail and everything was awesome. We saw otters, wild mallard ducks and bald eagles. The views from the porch to the pond were magnificent. We hiked on the nature trails. At night we could sit on the porch and the stars reflecting off the pond were magical.

WE WILL BE BACK!

Our family had such an amazing stay at this beautiful home! I came with my husband and our four kids, and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for an stress-free getaway. The highlight of our trip was definitely the pond. We spent hours fishing together and caught so many fish, it ended up being one of our kids’ favorite memories from the whole vacation! It was such a peaceful place to unplug and enjoy quality family time. If you’re looking for a spacious, relaxing getaway that’s perfect for making memories with family, this is it. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and peaceful retreat!

This gorgeous property was perfect and fit our family's needs. The property and grounds are picturesque and the lake is simply beautiful. The area is remote and serene. Perfect for anyone looking for a retreat getaway. The weather was rainy during our stay so we could not take advantage of the outdoor living spaces but we have said we would love to do a return trip. The indoor living space is impeccably decorated and equipped with everything you would need. Rebecca was amazing and very responsive---even accommodating an earlier check in. The check in process was seamless. I would highly recommend this property.

Our overall stay at Eagle’s Haven was truly remarkable. A fastidiously clean and newer property with beautiful architecture and surroundings. The price point was a little higher than we normally pay but likely attributable to the home’s quality and amenities plus its overall bed availability. FYI only - Our GPS mapping was a tad challenged in locating the turn off to gravel road leading to the property but we quickly identified the turn error nonetheless. And only real complication was lack of cellular service at property which necessitated our connecting to the property’s WiFi allowing communication back to owner using guest traditional key box instead of the keyless entry code. Fortunately, we could just make out the WiFi password from the wonderful deck and entirely glassed doors across the rear of the home. Owner communication was excellent!Hopefully we can return to the property into future!

Best hidden gem!

From checking to checkout, everything was a dream at this beautiful property. Pictures don’t do this place justice. The owners thought of literally everything, from snacks to welcome you to plush spa bathrobes. A true retreat. This home is immaculate, and has every amenity you can imagine. It is the perfect couples getaway, and great for families too with the bunk room, games, and ski ball in the basement. The beds are so comfortable, and the room darkening window treatments are such a nice bonus. Tons of hiking, beautiful views. So peaceful and quiet. 100/10 would recommend and return back to again and again

Our stay at The Sutherlin Retreat was a five-star experience.

We had an amazing stay at The Sutherlin Retreat! From beginning to end, everything exceeded our expectations. The hosts were incredibly kind, responsive, and welcoming. The house itself was a true treat. It really felt like a place of rest. The home was spotless, cozy, and so relaxing. It truly made you feel right at home. Everything we needed was already there, and you could tell how thoughtfully everything was arranged. Literally every detail was intentional. My family and I absolutely enjoyed the beautiful views, the games, and my personal favorite, the coffee bar. It was such a nice touch and made my mornings even better. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We would absolutely recommend The Sutherlin Retreat and would love to come back!

Magical

This secluded nature retreat is absolute perfection. Tucked away in peaceful surroundings, the property offers complete privacy, breathtaking scenery, and the kind of quiet you just can’t find in everyday life. Mornings were magical — sipping coffee while surrounding yourself in complete stillness. The sounds of birds chirping and the occasional wings fluttering, were so soothing. Evenings were just as special with a warm fire, soft music, and total relaxation. The accommodations were beautiful, cozy, and every detail was thoughtfully anticipated. It was a wonderful time of connection. We had a great time playing board games and cards, cooking in the gorgeous kitchen together, and walking through the trails on the property. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing get-away or a place to spend time with family.
