Cozy place

Ied recommend keeping it under 8 and if you do youll stay comfy and satisfied. Your under 40 mins away from everything youed care about and theres a nearby general store that has anything on short notice.The one thing i would love is some kind of covering for the front porch. We had a solution but being Washington' it rained the whole time so if we didnt have a cover our selfs we would have been limited with our outside access. Over all its perfect for the size location and price

Ski trip

A frame was great, kids really liked the bunk loft and the fireplace. Only a 30 minute drive to Crystal so we had more time to ski.

Close to Crystal Mountain!

Winter vacation/multiple ski days at Crystal, we wanted a place close by, pet friendly, and a kitchen so we can cook meals.Pros: 30 min. away from Crystal Mountain; ample space for family of 3 and a dog; kitchen and bathroom supplies were ample; for a pet-friendly place, the house didn't smell; quiet neighborhood; host was responsive.There were a lot of dog poop on the yard in between cabin and house next door & on driveway. We picked up after our dog but kept seeing other poop. Had to constantly watch where we walk.The house had everything we can think of during a cabin vacation except emergency supplies. Our first full day, there was a power outage (not sure what time power went out). Fortunately, we were at Crystal most of the day. We came back to the cabin and heard generators from the other houses. Unfortunately, the cabin didn't have a generator but at least we had heat from the gas stove fireplace in the living room. The one flashlight we found didn't work. Called the host and was told there were no candles nor any other light source. Ended up splurging on a couple of lanterns and butane stove from nearby convenient stores. Got to shower up that night but was worried because the house had electric water heater and we weren't sure how long the power outage was going to last. Glad to discover the power was on the next morning and it remained on the rest of our stay. Also, the host refunded us for half of the cost of the emergency supplies we bought.

Family vacation to the west coast

The house was great overall It was really hot when we arrived, and it took until morning to cool it off even with all the windows open We were unable to use the loft bed due to it being so warm up there Some fans would be nice in the rooms Otherwise, it was great- great location and it had the rooms and space that we needed for my 4 kids and I Cozy little cabin

Close to Rainier!

Cute little cabin. Very simple but lots of sleeping space. Close to Greenwater for food and drinks. Bring your DVDs. Internet is slow.

We had a great weekend up at Crystal during the day and cozying up at Wayne’s place in the evenings. It was clean, comfy and room for everyone! This place would be great for any winter or summer mountain activities!

Great place to sleep

Older property but clean. Quiet neighborhood and close to Mount Rainier's Sunrise area. Lots of beds compared to the size, great place if just looking for lodging to sleep.

Cool comfy Aframe close to Crystal

Bigger than expected, clean, comfy Aframe cabin close to Crystal. Could use some TLC and updating but location less than 30min to the ski hill was great.

Peaceful and comfortable

We love staying at this sweet little a-frame. Perfect location for trips into Rainier NP in the summer and Crystal Mountain in the winter. Highly recommend.

A frame getaway

We had a nice stay. We saw elk moving thru in the morning. However, it is in a development with neighbors close by. There is an easy access to the White River. The cabin itself needs some TLC. There were burnt out lights throughout. As well as broken fixtures . The carpet in the downstairs bedroom was held down with duct tape. Most of the bedrooms were up the spiral stairs. Both of the bathrooms were downstairs. There is no dishwasher so prepare to wash dishes by hand. There were multiple cobwebs throughout. It is more suited for a ski getaway than a family trip. We did enjoy the quiet nights and clean air.

Great location, no bells/whistles

As others mention, the place could use some updates/finishes, but there’s lots of sleeping space and it has all the necessities. The greatest asset is the location!

Rustic getaway

We had a good stay, but the place could use some upkeep and upgrades like better lighting and a dishwasher. We have small kids and the spiral staircase proved to be a bit of a safety hazard. The layout is a bit odd so even though it has plenty of bedrooms, I think it is best for a single family’s use. I can’t think of sharing this small space with another family.

Comfortable Cabin....Good location...Crystal Mountain/Mount Rainier National Park

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin in the woods. It is very cozy and comfortable and was more spacious than we thought it would be for an A-frame. You can even stand up in the loft! The beds are very comfortable, nice towels, great water pressure, fully stocked kitchen. Cabin could use a little TLC (such as replacing lightbulbs) but overall we were very satisfied with this affordable cabin in a good location for access to Crystal Mountain and Mount Rainier National Park which are about a 20-30 minutes drive.

Nice cabin

The cabin was as advertised. There were quite a few cobwebs and there were insect poisons out at the edge of the deck that we had to keep the kids and dog away from. Other than that, it was a great stay.

A frame joy

The kids had a great time on the spiral staircase and loft! We enjoyed the spaciousness and being in the woods. Kitchen and baths good, maybe add wine glasses. King bed a little firm for us, maybe a memory foam topper to add to the superb silence! Thanks so much, we would stay there again!

10-year old’s fave VRBO ever

House is cute and unique - lots of bedrooms and relatively close to Sunrise. Very quiet location. Our ten-year-old loved sleeping in the top bedroom and was sad leaving the “triangle house.”

Functionally Fine

This property has an amazing location, both to hikes near the Sunrise entrance of Mount Rainier and within the community, with a kids' playground and trails to the beautiful river a short walk away. Location is ideal. (I highly recommend the gondola ride at Crystal Mountain.) The cabin had basic supplies of all necessities, and was clean when we arrived. One person arrived early, saw the horrible mess the previous renters made, and saw the cleaning crew working hard. You'd never know it was trashed when we checked in. The beds were fine as far of comfort and linens, but the entire home could use a significant update, as other renters noted. There were dead bugs on most windowsills, peeling paint, chips in walls, and older towel linens and kitchen equipment. Lots of duct tape holding all kinds of things together- toilet, carpets, etc. The wifi router has had a factory reset at some point, and the owners haven't updated the posted password, which is why previous renters complained of no wifi. To connect to the wifi, use the QR code on the router and you'll be fine. It's a slow connection, but gets the job done. This is far from luxury, but functioned fine for our short stay.

Not bad, but needs more care

Overall we had a good time. Internet as others mentioned still didnt work. Lighting in the main room wasnt working right. Most of the drawers you would use to store your clothes were taken by linens...nothing outside like a fire pit or even a chair on the patio to enjoy. Heaters in bathroom up front didnt work...no biggie...the open hot water tank in back with shower pretty unsightly...back poop window no dice on opening properly. Old appliances. Needs some maintenance and upgrades. Now the good...decent location, not far from river and local trail. 25 min to Crystal nice front deck. Cool room layout extra mini loft was fun. Roomy. Fairly clean....not bad but again needs some attention.
