Our home—a place in the sun........ is located about 2 km outside the town center of “Puch bei Hallein” on a beautiful, sunny hillside. The tranquility and the view of the entire surrounding mountain landscape—including the Untersberg, the Watzmann in Berchtesgaden, the Hoher Göll,......—invite you to relax and enjoy yourself. Salzburg, the city of Mozart, is only about 12 km away from us.<br><br>The Berchtesgadener Land region—featuring the Watzmann, Königsee, Berchtesgaden, and the Kehlsteinhaus........—is about a 20-minute drive away.<br><br>For children, there’s a large garden where they can run around, complete with a small pool, a trampoline, and a swing set.<br><br>Our two vacation apartments, accommodating 2 to 4 people, have been awarded 4 Edelweiss (the highest rating). The larger apartment features 2 bedrooms, each with a shower/toilet, satellite TV, and Wi-Fi; a large, bright kitchen fully equipped with a dishwasher and microwave, also with satellite TV; and a beautiful sun terrace.<br><br><br>The small vacation rental is a one-room apartment with one double bed, a small kitchenette fully equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, and espresso machine, a dining area, and a private terrace. The sleeping and kitchen areas are separated by a sliding glass door. Since both vacation rentals are located on the first floor and right next to each other, they’re ideal for renting together, allowing us to accommodate 6 to 7 people (however, the small vacation rental is only available from early November through late April).<br><br>NEW starting in summer 2023: Air conditioning in the bedrooms!<br><br>Peace and relaxation: A quiet location on the edge of the forest, making it a wonderful starting point for walks and hikes. Sit back, unwind from the stress of everyday life, and enjoy the peace and the magnificent views.<br><br>Salzburg, home of the Salzburg Festival: Our property is also particularly popular with festival guests. Thanks to our proximity to the city (just 12 km from Salzburg), you can reach the Festspielhaus in no time at all; when you return to the apartment, you can simply enjoy the peace and quiet and the magnificent view.<br><br>Summer and Winter Sports: For stays of 3 nights or more, our guests can enjoy a free one-day rental of bicycles and e-bikes right in town. The Tauern Cycle Path runs right past our village.<br><br>SUMMER: Take a leisurely hike up the Untersberg (you can see the Untersberg directly from your terrace) or simply take the train, or explore one of our other mountains. In just 10 minutes, you can reach the Waldbad Anif with its climbing park, which offers a challenge even for us adults. You can also reach the Salzburg Golf Club course in Rif in 10–15 minutes. The nearby Berchtesgadener Land region, with its beautiful Königssee, is about a 25-minute drive away. <br><br>Sightseeing in and around the city of Salzburg: Whether by car, bus, or S-Bahn (free for our guests), you can reach the city of Salzburg and all its attractions in 15 minutes.<br>Hohensalzburg Fortress, Mirabell Gardens, Mozart’s Birthplace, Getreidegasse, museums, the Salzburg Casino at Klessheim Palace, Hellbrunn Palace and its water features, the Hallein Salt Mine, the summer toboggan run on the Dürrnberg, Celtic Museum—these and many more are located very close to us, but the Eisriesenwelt in Werfen (the world’s largest ice cave), for example, is also just about a half-hour drive away. <br><br>As you can see, our house is very centrally located, offering you every opportunity to make the “best time” of the year—your vacation—a relaxing experience you’ll remember forever. <br><br>However, there is no public transportation to our house, so a car is absolutely necessary!
