Large flat for 4-5 persons, 95 sqm, on the first floor of the 14th century fortress. Kitchenette - living/dining room with sofa bed - 1 double bedroom - 1 twin bedroom - 2 bathrooms. Access to this flat is via a stone spiral staircase leading to a landing shared with another flat (Autunno). Private entrance to a spacious and bright room with a view of the surrounding countryside.
The room is divided into several areas. A waist-high L-shaped wall separates the kitchen area, complete with gas cooker, oven and refrigerator, from the dining and living area with fireplace and sofa bed. To the left of the fireplace, up a step, is the door to the bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower. To the right of the fireplace is a room accessed through an open archway. Here you will find the double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. A third door leads down a few steps to the private, furnished garden area. From here you have access to the rest of the complex and the swimming pool. This flat is very comfortable and offers beautiful views from the windows and from its private garden. Both rooms can be furnished with double or single beds.

This wonderful holiday flat is located in a castle in Lazio, right on the border with Tuscany.
The castle dates back to the 12th century and has a pentagonal base containing a main tower and two secondary towers connected by patrol walkways, as well as a drawbridge, one of 19 still in use in Italy. The castle rises above the Via Cassia and dominates the Paglia valley, with Monte Amiata in the background. Surrounded by forests and green valleys, this rare example of a medieval fortress survives in its original state and offers enchanting accommodation and wonderful hospitality, where you can enjoy history and culture without forgoing modern comforts.

The castle consists of 7 holiday flats. Three flats are located in the 14th century part of the fortress. Although they share a common path through the garden leading to the swimming pool, each is independent and has its own furnished outdoor area. The other four flats, which also have their own private outdoor spaces, are distributed around the medieval courtyard. The swimming pool (12x6 m, open from mid-May to mid-October) is accessed through an ancient and evocative tunnel under the castle. All flats have a wood-burning fireplace for cosy, romantic evenings.

The swimming pool is located in the large green park of the holiday complex, from whose terraces you can enjoy a beautiful view. By the pool is also a renovated barn, now used as a restaurant, where you can enjoy long-forgotten recipes and typical regional dishes, immersed in the peace and beauty of the surrounding garden.
Halfway between Florence and Rome (both 150 km away), the castle is ideally located for excursions to art centres such as Orvieto, Pitigliano, Lake Bolsena, Tuscania, Viterbo, Pienza and Montepulciano.
