Escalon Ranch - A 65-Acre Hill Country Estate near Lake Travis

Relax, unwind with family and friends at our Hill Country Ranch. The 3600 square foot ranch home was designed for Hill Country relaxation. Large covered porches overlook a private pool with magnificent fiery sunset views of the Live Oak covered Hill Country.

Enjoy breakfast on the porch with the songbirds. During the day get a book and enjoy the secret garden or one of the meditation areas among the garden paths. Hike in the privacy of our 65 acres including intermittent streams, a waterfall and trickling clear water pools where wild flowers abound year round.

In the evening gather around the large fire pit area and cook hot dogs or s'mores under the stars. Deer, quail, fox, turkey and song birds are frequent backyard ranch visitors.

When our children visit for the weekend they say they feel like they have spent a week at a resort spa.

This private gated ranch is the ideal property to host ultra private family reunions, for groom or bride families to host friends and relatives for North Lake Travis Wedding Venues, or as a relaxing vacation staging area to see the sites in Austin, Fredericksburg, Marble Falls, and other Hill Country venues.

Escalon Ranch has a private pool and its own amenities and is not part of The Hollows Resort amenities.

Great weekend stay!

Lovely house and property. Extended family stayed to attend and celebrate a graduation at UT and it was a perfect getaway! We will definitely come back!

Absolutely stunning

The home is very beautiful and very comfortable! The views are stunning! The pool was in a perfect spot to where it was warm to swim in and you can look at the views! Would highly recommend staying here!!!

Perfect Labor Day Weekend

Bill's property was amazing! Room enough for all 10 of us! Every couple had their own room. The pool and patio were perfect for just lounging all day. Kitchen had everything we needed when it came time to make dinner. We ended every day at the fire pit. Bill's place was the perfect place for our Labor Day weekend!

Best Place in Texas!

Our family spent the 4th of July weekend at this amazing house. We had so much fun in the pool and feeding the deer. Our grandkids were never bored because there is so much to do there. We enjoyed every meal out on the back patio. For it to be July and a 100 degrees you would never know it. With all the trees and the constant breeze the weather was perfect. We would absolutely come back!

Serene setting, lovely pool

Really lovely setting in midst of scrub oaks with great outdoor spaces and a lovely pool. Very serene with deer and birds passing through. Good for families with a large kitchen and nice pool/card game room. We really enjoyed the porches and pool, as well as walking the trail on the property. The pool house provides a nice way to give people space with a queen bed room, and a (really small) bunk room. Guest Bathroom situation in the house is a bit odd and there was no dish, laundry or bath soap. Also, the main house smelled strongly of cigarette smoke when we arrived.

Very spacious, highly-equipped, quiet/private, comfortable

I stayed with just 1 friend (I know, overdid it) and realized it was a 12 person stay! We of course had a lot of room, which was really nice. The house has character, unlike a lot of this boring modern style that other houses have that are stale and standardized. This one feels more like a home, with style. The property is at the very end of a private street, and a long driveway so the house is tucked away in its own private area. Therefor, quiet, peaceful, private, and relaxing Plenty of appliances, cookware, and everything need to grill, entertain, and relax. The pool area has a beautiful view into the yard and forest, where deer walk by each day. There are paths to go on walks which we failed to explore, but are right out the back yard. I'd stay here again for sure.

Spacious, Well-equipped overall

Plenty of room for our family and property manager was ver responsive to a few issues that arose (missing lightbulbs, not enough towels). House could use some updating and household essentials could be better stocked (paper products, TV/music system was very dated). The bunk room is not adequate for adults and there is no easy bathroom access (have to walk outside; probably fine for kids.)

You're going to love your stay at Escalon Ranch!

You can stop your search for a vacation rental property, because you've just found the jackpot! This property is an excellent sanctuary, which provided a space for a weekend with friends and family. It was exactly as described in the listing, if not even better than described. We felt so welcome The owner has provided everything we could possibly require. The beds were very comfortable. The pool and game room were amazing.

Hill Country Paradise

This is a truly one-of-a-kind property. 60+ private acres just a stone's throw from Austin/Lake Travis. The house has a nice layout, with 3 rooms in the main house and 3 separate rooms/bunk rooms with their own entry doors and adjoining facilities surrounding the swimming pool. The "great room" is super comfortable with high (really high) ceiling and glass windows all along the back of the house. The acreage surrounding the house is beautiful and quintessential hill country: rocky limestone and cedar with lots of hills, steep ravines, creeks and trails for hiking. There are lots of deer on and other wildlife on the property. This is a real oasis in the middle of an otherwise highly developed area (which means you're close to any stores/restaurants etc. you might want to visit). We look forward to coming back. Perfection Ranch

This beautiful ranch home in the Texas Hill Country was perfect for our annual family getaway. Our grandchildren loved the playing in the game room, swimming in the pool, and exploring the grounds. This home has everything, from pool toys to kitchen necessities, that a family needs to enjoy time together. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us. Our memories will last a lifetime!

Great retreat for family or large groups

This property is beautiful and comes equip with EVERYTHING you need! The kitchen is a chefs dream. There was plenty of room for a large group. The only hiccup we faced was the water. From time to time, it shuts off. May even shut off while you are in mid shower or cooking. Other than that, it was a great stay. Management (Bill) was very responsive and acted quick on any issues we faced.

Family gathering

Perfect space for a re-gathering of the family for my nephews wedding. House is a wonderful space in a wonderful space: sitting on the porch watching the birds was wonderfully relaxing. The kitchen had everything one could need to provide wonderful family meals and the bedrooms are more than comfy! Thanks for a wonderful stay - would highly recommend this property and hope to visit again soon!

Fun Family Get-together

Our family had a great time at this property. The house was beautiful and spacious, as was the porch surrounding the back of the house. Plenty of seating and areas to eat outdoors and relax. The pool was perfect for us and the kids loved it. It kept them entertained for hours and was fun for the adults as well. The "bunk room" wasn't connected to the main room in the pool house, so that might be a concern for people with kids. Overall, a wonderful stay!

Birthday get away

This property was amazing to say the least! There was more than enough space for everyone in the party, as well as so much to do. The pool was a perfect size, and everything was very clean! The location was great as well only 30mins away from lake Travis ! Overall one of the most memorable vacays largely due to this property.

Oasis at Lake Travis

We stayed here to celebrate our son's 16th birthday. The house and property offered privacy, quiet and relaxation. There was plenty for everyone to do there, between the pool, game room and fire pit. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to provide meals. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice area

The view was cool. Mosquito problem could be addressed. The instructions for check in are a little confusing. The code given is inaccurate. It took guessing on our behalf and a text confirmation to solidify our educated guess. The pool is nice (a little chilly). Curtains in the bunk bed room would help tremendously. All in all it was a wonderful weekend!

Quick escape.

Theo house accommodated 3 families with 2 children each ranging from 1 to 12. There was enough room for everyone and lots of things to do indoors but mainly outdoors with the pool and the fire pit. We noted few things that were communicated to the owner for them to be fixed for next guests. Would recommend the property.
