Grab any of the books available, snuggle up on the sofa with your favorite blanket, and get lost in your book. The well-appointed kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances and a Keurig coffee maker in addition to the required drip coffee maker. Great downstairs unit in the Homestead Resort. Awesome views for sunset from the back porch. Clean and cozy for two couples with private bathrooms. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Close to Glen Arbor, Glen Haven and Sleeping Bear.

There was not a clean room. It’s as if no one stayed in the unit for several weeks as - live and dead spiders/bugs everywhere. Entry doors were not swept and thick cobwebs with bugs on outside light, walkway, table and chairs were not swept and hasn’t been power washed in a very long time (green). Inside floor was visibly not vacuumed. Kitchen counters & table were sticky and dusty. Kitchen sink was not cleaned from previous guest. You could see brown buildup around the sink especially in corners and drain. No garbage bags for kitchen can and only one bathroom basket had a bag. Live spiders and bugs everywhere. Lots of mouse droppings in the water heater closet in the master bedroom which was a blended closet and doesn’t latch shut. Hole for mice to go in& out at the bottom floorboard level. All windows and sliders were full of bugs. Master bath wasn’t too bad but twin bed bathroom had a gross overdue shower curtain to be replaced. I found bleach and sprayed it and the tub. Washed curtain in the mini washer. There was a vacuum and some new and used Swiffer dusters to go around the unit to clean webs and bugs. Twin room was full of webs and bugs, I pulled beds out to clean under and around and entire room. Closet with blankets was also full of bugs wasn’t sure if they were clean. I spent an hour cleaning that room for me as well as main unit space. Coffee grounds still on spoons in drawer so we did not prepare food or bother to disinfect kitchen. Loved view didn’t sleep well.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, comfortable beds, and well stocked kitchen. Views from the balcony are beautiful, including sunsets. The description is accurate, except the walking distance to the Crystal River. I do not recommend this condo if you want to access the Homestead beach. We messaged the host and asked how far and difficult walking to the beach would be. We were told it was a "short walk down from the hillside toward the shoreline. It’s still quite close, generally around 5–10 minutes depending on your pace...The walk itself isn’t very long, but since the property sits on a ridge overlooking the lake, there are some stairs and a bit of an incline/decline involved." The walk is actually just shy of one mile. The condo is not just on a hill, it is on a bluff with a very steep hill. There is parking close to the beach, but you need a parking pass which Homestead would not provide because we did not book through them. Otherwise, the condo was great and we recommend it.
